I'm trying to find a WM6 ROM for a Tre 750 (with Telstra in Australia).
I only need it for one specific thing, so I'd prefer a copy of the palm official wm6 ROM- where can I get it?

I have the WM6 for AT&T and the exchange server function works fine, provided you leave th "Force A&T& Proxity' checked/on. The only thing my AT&T version of WM6 won't do (yet) is let me watch Foxtel on the mobile. So, I'm trying to work out how to flash the Tesltra version of WM6 onto my AT&T Treo 750, which I think can be done via the SD Card method.

Anyone know the o2 active GPRS manual settings for the BA? I have just performed an upgrade with the o2 Asia rom and obviously now dont have the UK Auto configurator!
Well... whilst I started typing this I FINALLY got through to the o2 Data Support group (0800005005), who gave me the following settings which got me up and running!....

Yes mate, simply use this cab file to install the settings into the phone, therfore not having the trouble of having to type them allin manually!
Any chance of expaning further, how do I replace / install this cab!

Running XDA2i in corporate install, will this CAB put all the required info in the settings to allow GPRS, e-mail wap etc?
I successfully upgraded my MDA Vario from Qtek to iMate ROM. During the customization process, it asks to select an operator to set up parameters for. There is no USA carriers in the list so I selected cancel. Eeverything "seemed" to proceed okay after. Is this just the MMS & Internet setup stuff?

I think thats what its for, i just hard reset my device now, but i got the cingular settings off club imate.com its a cab so just copy it to your phone and open it up and your set
that is, if you are with cingular. for some reason those are the only USA settings they have on there site.... also they have AT&T.

Just a heads up for all those who are wanting info on TMobiles plans for the Vario, I am havign emails with tech support atm who are saying there is a new update planned for the end of June that will include the extras we are seeing in the recent Qtek and Imate rom releases...
Dunno why there taking so long? I mean to release an update then pull it takes the mick, but to wait three months longer than other carriers to release an update makes me :evil:

I applied the i-Mate upgrade to my T-Mobile UK Vario and selected the T-Mobile UK operator option when applying the customisation.
It still didn't setup the GPRS APN stuff - which I expected it to do. Before I was using the T-Mobile shipped ROM.
Is this normal or is there something missing from the customisation?
I also tried the separate t-mobileUK.cab and that didn't set up the GPRS either.

as far as i'm aware thats normal.. the tmobile cab files have never setup mms gprs etc for me

Easiest way is grab hold of the Tmobile Extended Rom from the FTP and use the two connection configuration files in there, job done!
but at the same time a working cab would be spot on!
I read an interesting conspiracy theory the other day that theorised the reasons why T mobile are going to be late with an upgraded ROM.
“There are devices running on the AKU2 out there, HTC devices even. Could it be that it is not the new ROM that is causing problems, but the T-Mobile Exchange platform offering push e-mail that T-mobile has announced? With push email in the new ROM but a Exchange platform that is not ready yet, users can easily go to some other service provider to get working push e-mail their. Without the ability to use push e-mail on their SIM locked devices however, MDA Vario users have no other option but to wait for the ROM that does support push e-mail to be released by T-Mobile”

you really only need the first one you highlighted... If you install the second one without the 2nd part of the wap push profile you'll get "cannot find elateservice message ever reboot" you may also want the file called CAB-Customization-TMUK-Wizard-01-04-03Oct05

I am very desporate. I bought a MDA here in the US from Tmobile. I love the phone but my company requiers I have a blackberry due to the email servers we have that push the BB mail. I currently have to carry a BB and the MDA. Is there ANY way possible to make my MDA get the BB Mails? I would be forever in debt if somone can help with this. I would even pay money if somone can help me make this happen if its even possible. I would prefer mail responses to [email protected]

I don't have all the links but you will need:
1. UK TMO ROM (RUU_Prodigy_1060204_105_11210_TMO_UK_Ship.exe)
2. File: bbconnect_pocketpc_tmo_de_2.1.1.20.exe
3. BB Desktop Manager for Windows Mobile (ActiveSync_BBConnect_Desktop_Setup_2.1.0.16.exe)
4. Active account on a BES 4.0, 4.1 preferred.
Install the UK ROM
Install the BB software. If you require .NET Compact Framework, install it first.
Install the BB desktop software and configure...I'm sorry, I need to look at my device for some of this and do not have it with me currently...

I am getting an error message when I try to download that link. From what I can tell, Palm requires a valid serial # to be entered into their system before they allow the download. If you have this install, would you mind posting it up on one of the many sharing sites and providing the link? I am guessing that this version may have a better radio for use in the US than the ROW version had which forced me to roll-back to the 3AUS install.
In regard to your request, I am fairly certain that the WM5 install is available from this site - I have seen it posted multiple times but I can't recall where?

I downloaded the file using my serial number, I had TREO750-1.16-RWE.
Now have TREO750-2.23-RWE.
The file name is Treo750_2.23_ROW_EN_DesktopUpdater.exe
Maybe RWE means Rest of World English.
By the way, runs great, only have had an issue when I loaded Sprite Backup 6.1, so I have removed it.
The file is located in this forum under the heading

Yeah! You're right. I dug deeper into the temp files of the ROW updater and seen the RWE text on the payload XML. Mine is now saying Treo750_2.23-VFU

Dear Abs, I will do that, tell me where i need to upload. I tried for Wm5 a lot many times but no luck, I dont seem to find the UNBRANDED WM5 release that came with the device. I actually did not unlock the device. I bought the generic device itself so I am willing to have the original stuff.

Sorry I misunderstood. I checked my hard disk and I had previously downloaded from this site a copy of the branded WM5 Cingular rom. I don't know if Palm ever released the unbranded version. Perhaps someone else can answer that question?
