How can i download TomTom 7 maps for UK. Thanks

I installed TomTom 7 from this site but its saying no maps can be found how can i download the maps for UK if anyone has the cab. file for it? Thanks

Thats alot of help but my question is would you advice me to buy the maps or download them?? Is there any difference in this?
And i downloaded TTN 7.910 so should i get the version 7 maps or the version 8 maps?

Follow the instructions I gave you in the post, and you will get the latest maps LEGALLY. If you want to over-install the 7.910 application afterwards, then the maps will continue to work fine (that's what I'm doing).
Downloading the maps from elsewhere is illegal, and shouldn't be discussed here.

Warez is not allowed at XDA. Whether People use it or not is there problem. XDA will participate in no way to the Stealing of Software.
To the Original Poster: I suggest you BUY the Maps you don't want the Cops busting down your doors do you, You just had them replaced!

I'm no hypocrite.
What I find frustrating is that there are a whole bunch of "MoFos" who whinge and complain that TomTom don't look after the PDA market properly, and then rip off the software as soon as they can get their hands on it - it's only £30 to get the latest version, so it's not like it used to be when my first version cost over £100.
Is it any wonder that TomTom would rather stick to the PND market, when we don't support the products that they do release?

Working MMORPG

Hey Guys,
there are some MMORPGS for PPC's like SOL or Wyvern and Sphere. But I know only one thats working. It's called Warspear.
You can find it here http://warspear-online.com/index.php?&go=news-ru But it's Russian and I'm from Germany so I don't understand anything..
Maybe someone know a german or english version? Or any other nice mmo's
There is also one called Tibia for S60 phones it's written in Java. Is it possible to port it to the xperia?

Looking at the youtube movie the game itself is just in english (warspear). With guessing on links I found a beta cab download, I might give it a try

edit2: you can put it on english, the first screen, the top field is language, click the right arrow once to put it on english!

thats what i was thinking, because the patch is still on the servers for the ppc version, shame i cannot get it to download the full patch, it gets to 25% overall then stops responding,
however apparently the ppc version was pulled more than a year ago

I've just searched for it here in the spanish android market and can't find it.
I use to buy stuff from Amazon and an app like this would be great.

It's a tool some italian guys developed before Google opened the Italian market for paid apps so they could buy in the US one.
Besides allowing that, it comes with an added benefit and it's that it allows getting any app from the US market, even if it isn't available for the UK, Spanish or any other market.
The app requires root, but that I suppose won't be a problem for any xda user. You can get it here

Just found out about this app and it sounds really interesting. Only issue is it's not available on the market in the UK (at least... I assume it isn't. I can't find it...)
Would someone be able to upload the apk? It's a free app so I'm not stealing it or anything

Are you serious? This is really retarded.. I've gotten 10 dollar apps for free here that are formated into apk files.. Either this website has rules for that certain thing, or I am misunderstanding what is allowed & what isnt overall. Can someone explain this too me?

I've been using this site since my Tmobile winmo phone (atleast 3 years ago) and there has always been the stipulation of no warez/paid apps/etc...
What you have gotten, might have been something illegally posted before a mod can check it. Just because some people can't/don't read doesn't mean the site condones pirating.
If you want to pirate or assist in searching for pirated apps, do it somewhere else. We love this forum and don't want it messed up by cheapo's not willing to spend a buck!

Distributing a paid app to others for free is called piracy or warez. It is illegal and therefor not allowed here. Also being that this is a forum for developers, spreading around paid apps to other for free around here will get you some heavy negative attention.

This software lets you download any app from the market, including paid ones. Hence it is not allowed on xda.

Nope, this is a free app, but as said above, it can download any app, free or not, and convert it into .XAP.
So it can be considered as warez but it is not really one actually. Since it's able to grab free apps in .XAP file system, I though it was an interesting tool for finding rare .XAP apps...
But that is why I waited before posting any link, as the status of this app is rather vague, like in the grey area...

I think it's a free app. I've tried and works well.
Unfortunately, it seems it works for free and paid apps (honestly, haven't tried it, but read that it is possible). It is a pitty, because it won't be allowed on XDA and it is a great way to avoid all the trouble to get a live ID.

Well couldn't somebody mod it to only access the free ones?
There is also another software that does the same as this, both are by different devs. Would be great if we had a XDA dev work on it and release it with better/more stable functions.

other than the activation code from Microsoft being location based, it is not hard what so ever to have WP7 be fully fuctional. i have zero issues down loading/accessing anything from windows live, market, zune. all the info to do so is here on the forums, and a 5 min call to Microsoft customer service. There was only two specific questions they asked 1. are u in the US, 2. what is the phone Brand. having all of the software set up properly, then entering that code gives full use. when i plugged into the Zune software after it recognized it as HD7....................been testing the crap out of it since. zero problems. take your time....put all the software in the right order, call to get a code...done....
sorry if the Microsoft activation code does not work for you based on location.. that blows

Yes, there's no distinction between free and paid apps. I've download to alternative browsers, not knowing they were paid.

Actually it only downloads the free apps aswell as trials, it doesnt directly download any full apps. What it does do also is edit the trial so its full on supported titles.

Well I wouldn't consider removing the trial limitation to full legal since its then a full app. Anyway carry on. Don't say no one told ya
