connect webcam to mogul? - Mogul, XV6800 Accessories

Hi everyone, big fan of the site and the incredible service you guys give the general public
anyway, I want to hook up an external cam to the mogul so I can remote mount the lense/camera on my windshield or aimed at my outo display for a car cam
is this driver available already?
I believe I'll need a usb to usb mini adaptor which I have but would love to be able to do this
is this already developed?
or will my mogul see and be able to use a bluetooth webcam?...if not, is there software that allows it?...I know a bluetooth webcam was being developed for pda's in general but I haven't read more about that, I'm not allowed to post links yet, that was called "optieyes bluetooth" if you want to google it
thanx in advance

Hardware from Palm-PDA connected to the XDA???

Hy guys.
Maybe someone can give me some hints, tips or explenations....
Is it possible to connect hardware, that is designed for Palm PDAs at the XDA?
For example there is a digital camera, for palm to connect via the SD-Port, or for another posibility a VGA-Connector for Palm, also connecting to the SD-Port....
MAybe some of you have experience, or yould suggest other hardware to use a digital camera or a beamer at the xda....
Regards
Stefan
:?
The Palm accessories use SDIO. The XDA only support SD Memory cards.
So sorry, it won't work.

Kaiser as HSDPA gateway for digital cam ?

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knows if a software is available (or if it's could exist) to turn our very own Kaiser into a printer emulator ?
This way, we could use usb cord from a digital cam (or DSLR) to push pictures as if it was a printer, but final goal would be internet upload...
Ideas or comments are welcome
Thanks!

usb cord, no, the phone would lack the ability to be a USB host.. however if your camera does bluetooth or wifi then yes you can.
Hmmm... that was a concern I was unsure.
Are the printers "USB hosts" ?
bluetooth or wifi cam are still not very available (not to mention speed/battery life)
Noone interested in this idea?

Kaiser and Power Point

Does anyone know if it is possible to use Kaiser to project a power point presentation, bypassing the need for a laptop, and without the use of an intermediate device like the Margi PDA presenter? I read that the new HTC phones may be able to do that, if so is this a software or special hardware wiring? is it a function of the device being VGA or qVGA display? I would appreciate an explanantion by one of the experts.
You are hearing about a technology that hasn't yet been released... it will be a micro projector built into the phone or as an ipod sized accessory.

If you mean the sort of video output dongle thats possible to use with the Touch Pro and other devices, no it won't work if used with the Kaiser. I've not tried it with my Kaiser, I've just read it here somewhere on XDA-DEV that it doesn't work with a Kaiser.
I am talking about the ability of the new devices e.g. Fuze to connect directly to a TV or slide projector using a special cable from the mini USB on on one end and has RCA connections on the other to attach to the external display device. See this:

Kaiser doesn't support/have the TV Out feature, this was asked and explain before, just search the kaiser forum and you will get your answer.

Micro USB head set

I'm running deeperblue's honeycomb on eMMC and was wondering if I could use a micro usb head set to try to make calls over a program like skype or fring. Has anybody had any sucess doing something like this? or if the hardware would allow it?
Bumping this thread, because I haven't seen an answer to this. I'd like to use Skype on the NC. I've read a number of posts regarding BT with headphones, and my impression is that it will work, but not well enough to use with Skype. If I'm wrong there, someone please correct me.
I can't find a clear post regarding micro USB though. Is there anyone out there using Skype with a micro usb headphone? Does it work well? If so, what's your setup (ROM, headphone h/w). Thanks.
As far i know; thats not possible at the moment.
Hooking a USB headset up to the Nook would require an USB host driver for the USB port on the bottom. Since it currently only a slave port (transfer data and power) you can't hook up a host device like a USB headset or a USB harddisk.
A while back they started a more technical thread about this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028417
BT headsets do work as far as receiving audio goes, but sending audio (mic) is not available yet. Also the range is very poor. It'll probably be debugged in the near future by one of the awesome dev's on here.
Not the reply I was hoping for, but thanks for the clear response. Ciao.

Rooted Samsung SmartTV With Busybox and Bluetooth...

Hi,
Thanks to SamyGo, Samsung SmartTV's can now be rooted and the box is now wide open for hacker community to better the platform. One such functionality still missing is the ability to use wireless audio streaming via built-in Bluetooth hardware which intentionally only allow streaming to Samsung Soundshare speakers, as posted at the SamyGo forum by me Samsung uses open-source BusyBox and "BCRM Bluetooth Linux Driver" (see GPL licenses from contact screen by pressing the red key) and I am sure someone from the hacking community guide us to what we need to get this sorted out.
Since, it's the same Broadcom chipset used by many other Samsung phones and we are talking about drivers for BusyBox I hope ROM makers should be able to guide us in the right direction.
Thanks
