I can't seem to find a program which will route ALL audio to my mono bt earpiece. If there is such an app pls pst. If not, I'd like to help in the dev of such an app. Basicly, whenever the phone sees any audio bt device it will start routing all audio to that device. And it should have a built in audio mixer to control the different programs' volume levels separately.
Let me know what you think
Thanks.

As a bike commuter this feature would be great. I typically listen to streams and podcasts where fidelity is not priority one. I use a cheap pair of corded headphones where I chop one ear bud off so that I can keep my left ear, traffic side, open. It would be sweet to have the ability to make/take calls on my commute and listen to audio as well. I know that there are BT earpieces that are a2dp, but should I really have to drop another 40 clams to get one, hells no this is android we get what we want right? That said I would develop a prog to do this but it will take me 6 mos as I have no background. So, to kind devs, myself and several others that I have seen scouring for this sol'n would gladly help test and pay for this functionality.
I have been looking also. Have not found anything to even mention. I used to have it on my old MinMo phone, but that's the ONLY damn thing I miss about it. Anyone have a recomendation.
theres a bunch of cheap A2DP headsets at dealextreme.com just do a search for a2dp
But I do mean cheap dont expect miracles for sound quality or battery life . . . but did I mention cheap?
We're not trying to solve our problems by purchasing MORE hardware, we're trying to make do with what we have and find new uses for old stuff. We want to send ALL the audio from the device to a mono NON a2dp earpiece. It can't honestly be that hard, Please devs. And don't forget your donate buttons.

This is not working for me, and I have 3.0. Doubt that 4.0 is working on the G1.
Hello!
Sorry to up this "old" topic, but I'm a biker too and i have a scala rider Q2 bluetooth device. This device does not support the bluetooth A2AP x-(
The phone calls trough bluetooth is ok but no music or GPS....
I found a solution : Bluetooth Audio Widget (i could not post the link but you can find it on the android market)
This Widget/application route all the sounds from your device to the bluethoot headphones!
@++
I have been using "Super BT Mono Pro" on my T-Mobile G2. It is working better than a few of the other apps that I have tried. It is also available on the Market.
http://www.androidzoom.com/android_developer/sinwidget_itzo.html
How do you like that Q2? Does it work well on FM, or is its radio coverage spotty like the other units? I still think they have awesome audio when you are talking to someone. I gave up the Scala Rider FM for a Parrot SK4000.

Has anyone been able to play music on their car's speakers through bluetooth specifically lexus with navigation, LEXUS GX 470 with tilt?
I've tried lots of things to get this working and the only thing that works is the calls but the music doesn't stream over.
Ive read and read everything on here the only advice i see going around is buying more accessories, I want to make this work
without having to buy any bluetooth adapters like jabra or jawbone, i have so many different accessories that i can build a spaceship
and don't want or need anymore. Thanks in advance
Does your lexus support A2DP? If not, then no, it won't connect for streaming stereo audio. Looking at the Lexus web site implies that only HFP is supported.
You can look at the JETWare BT Extention driver.
Tried a lot of different things and hasn't worked isnt there a way to make the phone transmit the music as if i was on a phone call, there has to be software out there that does this.
nope.. havent tried it with that.. but works perfectly with a BMW 528 i flawlessly
( check the kaiser pic thread to see what i mean )

EDIT------
Oh that you actually own the BMW, you could of just linked me to your post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2275428&postcount=145
That's a pretty big thread which would have been hard to find without the exact name.
BMW and lexus are different cars, your probably has A2DP (does it?) where as mine doesn't. Anyway your car is newer.
Check your car user manual. If it says Bluetooth 2.0 (or at least 1.2) with A2DP, then the answer is YES; otherwise, you're wasting your time.
I have RX350 and its bluetooth is 1.0; not sure if Toyota are so generous that they install bluetooth 2.0 w/ A2DP on GX470
You know its funny if you google "LEXUS GX 470 bluetooth a2dp" without the quotes this thread is #2 & #3 right after the lexus website, and you responded literally 2 minutes ago, google sure is working fast.
I don't have the manual, and i don't think it has A2DP anyway.
I'm going to try 2 more programs let you know how it works out.

Well Blue music didnt work. But i did hear my music ringtones. Bummer. All I got left is Chartcross Bluetooth Audio Router.
http://www.teksoftbluemusic.com/
Bluemusic is the only software available that offers Voice-over-Bluetooth combined with 100% phone support. People all over the world are now familiar with the expression "Music is wireless!". Starting with version 2.0, not only music, but anything related to AUDIO playback goes WIRELESS with Bluemusic! Make sure you get your own copy today!
It should work according to their website quoted from FAQ page.
3. Will BlueMusic work with the A2DP profile of my Stereo Bluetooth Headset?
BlueMusic is not intended to be used with stereo A2DP headsets, but with the mono bluetooth model headset. The reason is that with the stereo headset you can listen to music from your mobile device by default, but with the cheaper, mono headsets used only for phone calls you can't. So BlueMusic only offers missing functionality for that type of headsets and would be useless for the stereo A2DP. Still, feel free to download the trial version and try it on your device.

Well i notice more and more people joining my clubb of having the trubble of bad sound in there cars or Bluetooth Headsets Sins Htc Diamond Fails with the Equalizer totaly exapt for when you have a cabel headset.
The the Audiobooster or as i would like to call it Retardbooster sins the guy that came upp with it must be an idiot when more and more uses Bluetooth connection to there headset or Cars..
I have tried Audiomanager, S2p among other players and none of them had a equlizer that would work against the Bluetooth.
Sins the others did either not have any effekt @ all OR they only worked with a cabel headset.
I went and buyed Coreplayer sins i was going to use that anyway for watching movies when ever im not using my car. And WOLA!
Coreplayers Equalizer works in the Bluetooth sets ALLSO.
But here comes the but. It has its flaws. Skip and backwards command for cars of headsets does not work. And the buttons are so small theres no way i would try picking them when im driving my car. for others and mine safty.
BUT this Shows that a stand along Equalizing program thats using the inbuilt player should be np to make?
Why would i wanna use the one thats build in?
1. Skip and Backwards command works in cars and with BT headsets.
2. Toutch commands works
3. looks good.
I would have no problem using s2p if that would have a equalizing program that works towards BT sins its has about the same futures as the inbuilt one.
Please people Help me and the others with this problem. Cause if this problem would be gone then many of us would be less irritated by this problem.
it's my wishlist also, an equalizer which works with bluetooth headset and AVRCP which works with all media players, not only HTC music player and WMP.
I realy have been looking to solv this problem for a long time now. there are tons of program for other Htc phones but none will work on the diamonds BT problem sadly..
So is there no one that has a clue how to fix this problem with the diamond?

Well problem it that Mortplayer my or may not have toutch funktion. Im gonna check it out now.
The second one posted was not an option. Im not paying for a program that does the same things as coreplayer
If i am to pay again i will pay for getting a program that either can just emulate the sound for the inbuilt player.
Or a program that fits all the first options i was talking about.
Well Tried Mortplayer now and that one was worst then coreplayer.
It had bigger buttons and you could style it witch is a big +
But still its not paying any atentions to bluetooth commands like skip and backwards.
Both coreplayer and Mortplayer seems to be using another codec then the standard player in diamond (atleast that is what it seems like.)
Im more and more comming to the conclution that whats needed is just a EQUALIZER that equalizes the normal sound of the phone. Sins that is what the bluetooth is aiming it sounds towards....
So what we need is a stand alone equalizing program that can be activated without hearphones being connected.
im having the exact same issue with my touchpro and someone said come search in diamond forum and of course just problems no solutions
i will add mysalf behind the line, funny that there just a few replys...
also it woud be nice to use the htc radio over BT, jack sh**t, the EQ an RADIO to use with wired headset, i thought it is 2009?!?!!? microsoft?!?!
I use a program called pocket player. When you install it asks you if you want to install a plugin to work with bluetooth commands. I use it in my car and it works fine. Sound is great, fast buffering, bluetooth controls work fine. Give it a try. Maybe download the trial version first.
hope this helps.
Hello everyone...sorry for bothering, but I'm so frustrated that I'm about to scream...I really need some help here.
I have an AT&T Tilt (Kaiser) running their standard ROM. I just bought a Motorola H780 bluetooth headset for it. The salesperson said that he knew of some people who connected this model to their Tilts and was able to listen to music through it...and even on earpiece box it says that the H780 supports both the Hands Free and Headset profiles. However, I have not been able to accomplish this: it pairs for normal use (phone calls, etc), but nothing else. The "wireless headset" option is greyed out for me; the earpiece only gives me the option to connect using "Hands Free" profile.
I have looked...and looked...and looked for how to do this. The best I found from Google was for people who have Windows Mobile 5 (I have 6)...and even so, I tried a couple of those registry tweaks. On here, I keep running into countless forums that tell you, not how to enable A2DP, but how to improve it (using modified bitpool value in the registry, etc). Can SOMEBODY PLEASE tell me how in the world to get this working? I would really appreciate it...THANKS!
Well this is how i do it. I downloaded this http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=freeware
that is the page then you get a2dp toggle
and then when my bluetooth is on the the headset is on i then go to this program and double click it and it puts another icon by the bluetooth icon and i get sound that way for my music and also calls still come threw too. I am not saying this is the right way but it works great for me...
bluetooth toggle
bluetooth toggle turns on the headset (single ear normal everyday talking sets) like a speakerphone.
all audio will get directed to it, im, e-mail, meeting announcements.
I had a sony headset model, with 12 talk time, nice because it will eat your battery while on ( tilt and headsets rated for talktime will apply to this ) . my plantronics only does 4 hours, so at lunch or when not in use I charge it and phone via usb cable.
I am in IT and most peaple are ok with me wearing bt headset (plantronics 655) and write me off on the gadget side when I wear it 24/7. In reality I listen to music (10% volume on audiomanager) all day (literally) from my 8 gig card.
I have streaming and resco radio, and podcasts. Mostly I converted my common mp3s to wma to have more on the phone and high audio cd quality is not to be expected over bluetooth. The right rom and radio are very helpful and the ability to tun off screen but still play music are all important or battery will suffer even more. using the stock rom and radio will work, just not a good balance team.
duttys roms and a few others had it included btw. I found a way to use audiomanager 1.2 on the new roms with 1 registry setting change to allow suspend mode.
I use a very simple version of it. I attached it because, I searched a bit to find a link, (still recommended for education on the subject) but didn't find it or in the chefs and mods downloads either.
Thanks to both of you for your responses! I appreciate someone taking the time out to help.
Blinkste21957, I tried your solution and it didn't work...for some reason, it saw my headset as being "unusable" (my term) with regards to headset mode. I don't quite know why; my headset clearly says on the box that it is. (Motorola H780). This is why I think that there must be something missing on my phone that will enable the "headset" option for my earpiece.
Acehole, I tried your solution a while back...but it was with the 8525, not the tilt, and with my (previous) plantronics headset. I was less-than-impressed with the problems I had to deal with last time...but I could give it a whirl again with this phone/headset and see what happens.
If anyone knows of anything else I'm missing in terms of "activating" the headset capabilities of my phone (which I thought was supposed to have A2DP), let me know. I'm just very puzzled why, for an earpiece that supports headset mode, my phone would have that option unavailable.
Actually, I think that it is the phone and not the headset. When I had a nokia I was able to listen to music via my bluetooth with no issues. The tilt will not allow you to do this without the use of a third party application. The following is what many people have used and are using as a work around. BTAudio, BlueMusic, A2DPToggle. Tech soft makes BlueMusic and the A2DPToggle and can be found here: http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=products. Unless one of the bright developers here on XDA takes this on, I fear that it will never truly be resolved.
Thanks ACEHOLE.. I was struggling with my iMate.
Someone on here recommended the Sony DR-BT22 some time ago. I bought a pair and they link up and sound is impressive on the Tilt with Windows 6.1
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8458466&st=bluetooth&type=product&id=1184369168158
I can also control forward and reverse functions of the player with them too.
Bluetooth - especially compatibility - is still one temperamental beast! My car's built-in hand-free made me and the poor guy from AT&T a believer. They can plaster A2DP, HSF, HDP, ESP, JMDP, whatever on the box and it it means squat as to whether it will work or not. Only ones that do are manufacturer-to-manufacturer....sometimes.
Mack
If you have WM 6.1, and if you have a headset with the A2DP profile (NOTE this is not the same as the "headset" profile) then you can listen to music without any problem. If you don't have both, then you need to mess with the software add-ons mentioned earlier in this thread .
As for me, I got the excellent Jabra BT8040 and it works great with My Kaiser with stock 6.1. Only about $30 too.
hey guys i've been searching for an app that can maybe re-route audio to bluetooth. i used to use a similar program like that on WinMo handsets. my searches have turned up nothing, short of getting a stereo headset that supports AD2P is there a way that i can send the audio from my music player to my bluethoot? btw i am rooted and running JF 1.5....thanks
I hear you on this one (pun intended)! On my Wing I downloaded an app called 'BTaudio' and it performed flawlessly! I am quite suprised that no one has developed an app like this for the G1 yet...at least as far as I know!
I miss listening to music through my BT headset as well. I think it was added to the ota cupcake version that tmo/google released. I'm not sure though as I have a rooted g1 running jf 1.51cbr43. Hope someone figures it out soon cause I sold my ipod touch and won't use the adapter lol.....

well i'm no expert but from what i've read i've deducted that cupcake does support Stereo Bluetooth (AD2P) but you need a compatible headset to use it. i won't really have much use for a stereo headset so i don't really want to buy one, i hope someone can develop an app to address this issue.
I am stunned that no one at all has come up with this program to satisfy the needs of many. This should be cake-work for any android programmer.
My TMobile Wing was stolen from me by TSA at an airport in Georgia in September. So I do not even have it to use as a backup anymore when I need to use the BTAudio program. Got to love TSA sometimes!!
I specifically need to use an audio gateway for sounds effects and music to be played over standard mono Bluetooth audio.
Bump
Did anyone find a solution to this? I want to route all phone audio to my bluetooth headset, so I can use voice search and listen to Visual Voicemail without having to pick up the phone.
I wish!!!! It sucks that this is not a standard part of the OS.

Folks,
I've been using this one on HD Jabra BT3030 Stereo. My HD2 is on its way and should be here wednesday the lastest but what I can say is that this one is really amazing. It is able to give you control over volume up/down, music rewind/forward and next/previous function of the HTC player. Having that you will never need to take it out of the case for making calls or hearing music. On HTC its also supporting the Voice calling.
But as I said, not tested it on HD2 yet. I will give it a try and post my result here as soon as my HD2 is there.

how to make the hd2 play music through the bluetooth headset? i have a sony headset added as a bluetooth device with the stereo headset option ticked. also i am able to use it for phone calls but not music.
I am using the bt3030 from jabra also, but instead of the jabra earbuds,i buyed senneheiser cx300 precision, combine this with srs wow hd and do some bluetooth tweaking like verry high bitrate etc and you got some booming bass on the head with nice and clear treble, and clear mid tones....whoooo
Sony Ericsson MW600 - Both for phone and stereo bluetooth. It has a small display, dipslays caller ID for contacts, you can adjust volume (although the slider takes a little getting used too, it is much more linear than the HD2 controls), has a 2.5mm headset jack so you can replace the headset with whatever you choose. Great sound reproduction from standard headphones. Fantastic battery life. Uses micro-usb to charge, so is compatible with HTC HD2 chargers. You can pair with multiple devices. Has worked flawlessly for me. Paid $75 AUS Dollars

the volume control is easy. the manual says that you need to slide across the whole slider to activate volume then you can just slide to the desired volume. works great. highly recommend this headset. also payed about $80 aud online for it.
Hi,
Personnaly, I am using IQUA BHS-701. It is light, good balance between quality and price. Very good sound (phone and music)good bass. It is the best one for jogging according my knwoledge. It has it's own volume contrôle, overiding the HD2 one. there is mini USB slot to charge it. The disign philosophie is close to the jabra. Reception disance is good. Finally it is a 83grams headfone and it last 10 hrs music.
Motorola S9 or Jaybird work great!
Both are "waterproof". I also use WOW (free ap) - try the Jaybird first - they won't be comfortable for everyone.
