[DEV] LG Marquee 2.3 port (Brainstorming)

I've just done a quick port deodex'd the files and made it bootable etc
WIFI and Mobile network not working, i started to fix wifi but i need to be doing other work so hopefully you guys can get it going but other then that everything else seems to be working as far as i know.
only way to get to recovery atm is adb
this is focused for dev's only, mobile network not working atm so don't flash unless you plan on testing/debugging/deving

Its gonna be awhile though my upload is terrible..

why? on zte blade the mobile network issue has been solved with the replace of the apn config file

its not as easy as that because network files are lay'd out differently, also a lot of sprint propitiatory stuff it seems don't have any time atm to play around with it because got some more impotent things to do but thought i might as well let everyone else play with it.

as far as i know haven't had time to do much testing.

yes but you'll need to reboot to recovery using adb, not really worth flashing though untill someone fix's mobile network

how about its base band?

can anyone upload system/app deodaxed apks anywhere?

because of its network mode(CDMA2000),i think it's the reason why wifi and network not working.or flash P970's base band can solve it?

wifi can fix i guess. but netwrk should be hard to port our phone. need a Ricardo or Knzo or any good developer lol

I was wondering if one of the kdz files posted in the forum are an att froyo american stock file.
any help would be awesome and thanks for the heads up on this...this could help the developers on here get going with a possibility of some new custom stuff.

I don't think you don't need to flash back to stock before flashing V20p.
Just use the guide and flash it over whatever you have.

just a heads up i retained everything including staying rooted
edit: lost root but kept the superuser icon

Well its great when your trying to program these particular phones to other service providers like page plus or cricket, this service menu allow's to set up the phone's programming manually, some of the detailed provisioning is needed within these service menu's, that you cant necessarily do with cdma ws or qpst..

lg revolution downgrade from 2.3.6
@ magical, that apk will only read sum of the menu's when loaded on the 2.3.6 V8 firmware it seems to revert back after a reboot you must downgrade to V7 to utilize the lgservicemenu for internal provisioning.
Here i found this for anyone that has lost root on the V8 OTA on there Rev or needs to downgrade there Lg Device for some reason..

worked flawless now I'm rooted again, and 3g on PP.. then if you must you can one click root with the new build keep your 3g and go ahead and update back to V8.

legit, but limited, only reads the RX Diversity MRD with 1stTX 2ndRX setting will not stick on the V8 2.3.6 fiirmware and you need to toggle this setting to get the 3g moving so pretty much this apk is worthless for the Revolution for programming 3g speeds on the V8 2.3.6.

It doesn't work on my Spectrum. I installed the app with Astro file manager but when I tryed to open it nothing happened.

(on lglucid) hard reset phone.. bypass activation vol up, vol down, back, home... plug in usb, debugging on, connection as ethernet.. write flash as usual:good::good::good:

vs920 on page plus
I have vs920 with ICS and rooted.
I was able to get it working on pageplus - talk n text only.
QPST fails to write and gives a NV_fail when trying to change NV settings.
Anyone know how I can get this to work?
I'm thinking the SIM card is locked. Thanks

I installed without any problem using TWRP, however, I have no APN under mobile networks, thus no data. Also I can't send any sms.

Flashed with philz touch recovery. Installed & boots, but no data at all. Also no apn settings as stated before

OP is probably using the SPH-L720 unlocked on a GSM operator....if this is the case, of course he should have everything working. However, there will be A LOT more work going into a port to work on the CDMA Sprint network. Plain and simply said....TW Lollipop ain't gonna be 100% until we get a leak or the official Sprint rom.

Maybe it was a bad download... Download it again and try. Hope it helps.

For me everything is working still now, maybe because i'm using GSM network. in my country we don't have CDMA network.

This Rom is buttery smooth. Got data to work. Sms mms not working. Tried to fix Sms and mms. No go...everything else works .. Come on sprint.

this is the rom i want for the sprint s4 except the video. it cant even play 720p videos, since it's a port i suppose there could be a fix by the porter (couldn't catch his name while i flashed the file)

i found the patch for video problem :

I have purchased the same sprint LG G4 (LS991ZVB) and updated it to latest Marshmallow 6.0 including other mini security updates too. I was having the same problem. After selecting the LTE or CDMA losing the signal.
Here is the solution:
1. If you lost the signal after pressing the LTE/CDMA or CDMA
Go to settings>General>Backup&reset>Network setting reset.
you will have your signal back
2. You can use 3G internet services of any network. just need to fill the APN setting manually.
Go to settings>Network>Mobile data>Mobile Networks>Access point Name
Now add APN (only interent settings. ignore the mms or gprs settings)
As i am a new user. I am not allowed to give outside link. However I can send you link of all Pakistani networks APN settings& my contact number in private message.
Now you can use 3G internet. :good:

Search forum for ZVB MellowMallow ROM.. Install that ROM and your network will work like a charm

The sprint versions pretty good at lte on most carriers not all. Try like default,hipri,supl,fota

what carrier u using i have had to use alternative apns on my g4 before there is like 7 or 8 net 10 apns and only one of them work properly

that should just be a metter of using the correct apn
