First of all thank you to all the developers on this site. Your work is truely amazing. Now, Below is a link to an article from engadget. They claim the Netflix streaming software that can be found on a few blu-ray players and soon on the xbox 360 is going to become open to the public to develope for other devices. Now ofcourse it requires a subscribtion to netflix but to just have the abilty to stream movies to the Tilt/kaiser would be great. Not to mention kick ATT mobile tv to the curb. Anyone wanna give it a try?

there is NO WAY a tilt has the processing power to handle a stream that big.
I mean it has to be possible if its able to get Mobile tv no?
it would be possible if you put a server somewhere to resize and compress the movies. You could stream them to your home computer then use something like slingbox mobile to re-encode them and push them to your phone. The problem is even with slingbox it is still laggy and generally not worth watching. The drivers on the kaiser suck, by 5G ipod plays movies flawlessly where the same movie on my kaiser sucks.
Maybe. I can watch streaming video on most sites with the Skyfire browser, so using that it might work.
But like someothers have said, might be too much data for the Kaiser to handle.
Now Im in a country right now that doesn't have a 3g network (f ing Belgacrap) ne who. For those in the US ,anyone care to go to netflix website on the tilt and just stream directly from them.
I tried to watch my 1080p videos through my hdtv using the stock gallery app. The reproduction was not fluid at all. Both sound and picture kept stuttering. There wasn't any problem with 720p videos. I know galaxy s4 can send 1080p videos via dlna without problem. If it isn't a snapdragon 600 issue, is there anything can do to watch my videos through my tv? A setting or another app maybe?
Could it be a through put issue in your network?
my One works great with MHL adapter but when i try to use the HTC Media Link i get issues. Its a result of my network set up and how i have my WiFi configured. I need more throughput for my larger files / movies to work properly over WiFi.
Have not tried DLNA yet. But i do have a PS3 so maybe i should attempt to set that up.
Try Skifta app. Works super well thru dlna 4me ?
Htc One the One ?
I really like Chromecast but there is one problem whit it.
I spent 19.99$ on HD Iron Man 3. So i started to stream it via my network(PlayMovies no VPN).
Movie started in FullHD and its fine no lag but subtitles are 1 to 2 seconds out of sync and its same result if i use TunnelBear. I tryed it out on my N7 LTE and Find 5 and subtitles are fine and are in sync.
So does anyone know whats happening and is there any possible solution?

Click to collapse
If you pause then restart the playback do the subtitles get back in sync, or are they permanently off?
Also, is the subtitle appearing before or after the video it should accompany?
I tried that and it's same.

Hi my question is is there a player except localcast which allows me to stream videos on my tv via chromecast but let the audio play from my phone? i searched a lot of websites but could not find anything hope someone can help me here
I could see this being possible by running a UPnP server on the Chromecast and diverting/mirroring the audio through that. I think you'd probably need a rooted Chromecast to do it at this stage though (which I don't have).

I actually got that to happen accidentally while testing casting from Chrome Beta on the phone. I started a Vimeo video playing on the phone, switched to full screen, clicked the Chromecast icon, the video loaded on the Chromecast and started playing, the phone screen switched to control playing on the Chromecast - but the audio continued on the phone. That didn't happen when I stopped and started again, only the first time.
So i wanna cast my pc games locally to a tv in my house for others in my house to watch. ( not trying to game from the stream directly, as i know there will be a lag ) via chromecast but not waste my metered bandwidth by having to stream out to twitch and back to the TV. I know casting the whole desktop is not an option as the playback is super choppy and just not really functional . I came across a site the explains how to do this :http://www.davidandersen.us/uncategorized/stream-video-game-chromecast/#comment-9 but i just cant seem to get this to work. My experience with nginx is none existent. I wonder if someone else has come up with a simpler method . Ideally instead of using OBE , it would be nice to use the shadowplay ( or what ever Nvidia is calling it now ) to stream out directly to one of my chromecasts.
Any suggestions..?
