So I got my NS today to replace my N1 and I thought it would have the new marketplace on it. It looks to be the same one as before. Any idea on how to update it?

I tried to update today but it came in all un even around the categories tabs. So I'm just gonna wait. I mean its not like I'm dying to have the update.

Mine does. I really don't like it. Downloads button was rather useful. 2 clicks and you could see if you had any apps that needed updating. Now you have to press menu to access your downloads. I know, I know, it takes one second to do that. It's just rather annoying.
There is a download app in app drawer thats says downloads now so maybe thats why

Thats for downloads from the browser. Not the market.

Fyi I think Android can tell your network operator now. I was setting up my NS over wifi and had my sim in my g2 for calls. At that time the NS said downloads on the right tab. After I finished and put my sim into the NS the market started displaying T-Mobile on the right tab. It makes me think that the G2 did have a vanilla android on it...well sort of. Lol

I've been playing with this player a few days now and it seems to be working pretty damn well for a leaked version. I found it off google when it was leaked. The UI is amazing

I'm not sure. When I found it it was labeled honeycomb.

This player is pretty cool. Not to fond of the UI colors and such but with a little work it'll be nice, dark, and perfect.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain this is from Gingerbread. It's definitely a slick UI though.
I just launched the .apk to install. My phone now has two Music apps, but that might not be a bad thing in case this new one acts up.

from what iv read in the nexus s forum the best way is to adb push it and also delete or move the old music.apk. they are getting a lot of force closes over there if not done correctly so it could be hit or miss for now.

it's an apk file you can drop it in systems. You can have both players running at the same time and set one as default. I haven't had any issues so far running both

Yes... how are you supposed to sync with your pc library? I have some music on my card but its not finding anything now. I would also like that album view but it doesnt display like the screenshots you posted.

I believe it's supposed to sync with Google's cloud system so you don't have to have your music with you but still be able to listen to it.

Just download the file and put it on your sd card and then go into astro or any other file manager and install it. Works great! Make sure to set the space from the bottom setting to whatever fits with your lock screen.
I'm on VirusRom and I'm using:
Typeface: Serif
Font Size: Small
Space from bottom: Bottom Middle-High
It fits PERFECTLY. First picture is from receiving a call while in lock screen, second picture is receiving a call while using the phone while unlocked.
NOTE: You Don't Have To Be Rooted To Use This. Make Sure You Have Unknown Sources Checked Under Applications.
I think I remember when this guy got his app removed. Pretty sure it works well. Scan it with Privacy Blocker

I believe it's 15 days or something like that. It used to be anyway. Then it will ask you to subscribe for like $2 a month.

Where do you go to clear the Cache? In applications it will not allow you to click on it, is there another place to look???
Anybody have issues actually running the game once downloaded? I get nothing but Force Closes. Uninstalled twice and re-downloaded the files too.

Yep same experience here... Gameloft is the king of GARBAGE!
The one from the market from what i hear it doesn't work.
Whats odd is they dont even list the game being available for NS when you visit the website from your phone
The i9000 version works fine on NS i got from their website a few months ago never had any problems
I got it to work by opening the game, letting it force close, then holding down the home button and selecting it from "Recent."
Got Nova2 this morning for £1 and was going to pick up this too but it disappears when you select the nexus S as your phone, so they know it's not compatible

Got mine straight from the market. CM7.0.3. How would I get the Galaxy S version? No way in hell am I paying for it again.
Tell them you somehow got the wrong version and see if they will text you a link to the right apk.

I just checked my market and it has mysteriously updated as well.
All I did to update my apps was click the far left capacitive button, select "My Apps" and update nearly as usual. The cool thing was that it actually updated without having to cancel and re-initiate the update download again.
The new market is fine by me!!
While reading this thread my market just sent me a push notification that updates are available. Something the old market never did. Yay!

Same problem here, but it shows the missing apps as "installed " when I search for them like xda. I uninstalled the update and had it pushed again and I saw my apps listed but then it went away after an hour. My brothers nexus s doesn't so that. I wonder what's causing it, but not a big deal for me.

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on... kinda of frustrating not being able to see whether my other apps have updates or not.

my list of apps in the market has been randomly missing a lot of apps for at least a year. "Clear data" restores all the installed apps, but after a while some go missing again. I'm quite surprised that it still happens with the new market.
No new market here, though... still 2.3.6
If you have problems with missing apps try to delete the data in the apps settings. Opening the market again will result in again an acceptation of the terms and your apps will be there again...

I wish I had the old market. The new one is sluggish and has a lot of "features" I don't need.
i agree... new market is bloated and sluggish... i liked the functionality of the older market (i can browse a LONG list of top free apps)
So, just flash the old market!!! Its much better than the new one
