Hi, guys, I'm a newbie here.
Do guys know where to find replacement screen for my TMobile Pocket PC Phone Edition?
I broke the whole screen, so I need the whole LCD, not just the digitizer.
I found that http://www.pdasmart.com/pdaphone.htm sells the replacement for my screen, but the price is way to expensive.
Or maybe someone in this forum has this part for sale?

Checking to see if anyone knows of or has a source (other than eBay) for screen replacements for the focus. I've got a badly cracked screen that I'd like to replace, but samsung direct wants $156 and the cheapest on ebay is $98.xx coming from overseas. Everyone I found via google is in the $120's give or take now as well.
Kindof kicking myself for not picking one up when I had the 10% off ebay coupon and there were US sources at $98.
Just bought 2 screens from a wholesaler. Installed one and its working great. Need sim card replacement tray now. Can't find them anywhere. If anyone has a link please let me know.

How about some info on disassembly and replacement?
So, if your 2 year old is like mine, he's quite efficient at shattering your phone's screen. SO, I went online and found a replacement screen and set sbout installing it myself. I make no claim at any sort of electrical know-how... Damn it Jim, I'm a med student not an electrician. But I do enjoy my gadgets. Anyway, I went online and found some you-tube videos and successfully changed out the screen! Woo-Hoo! I used a hybrid of the two videos as one of them seemed a little too, much but it had a good rebuild sequence.
The first video has a good description of how to remove the screen (I didn't use the hair dryier and it worked just fine), and the second shows how to put it back. The second video should also be good to show how to replace other thinsg (camera, etc.).

I have a cracked glass, the LCD and digitizer are fine. I have found someone that sells the outer glass for $16. My question is if I can get the digitizer off the old glass and onto the new one.
I honestly don't want to spend $100 on a screen replacement when I can buy a slightly used one for $150...

On ebay is 12dlls the glass, somebody told me that they fix it in a mall were i am from (Mexico) they heat the screen to disolve the glue but i'm not sure about this. The total of the price should be like 35dlls the replacement.

My touch works and I can still use the device..
So I'm guessing there is glass between the digitizer and the actual display.

And replace the whole screen assembly. That includes the full front as you see in the eBay picture...
You're right. There's a glass between digitizer and display... But they are all glued... it's a difficult work to reassemble everything...

The reason I posted this was to see if anyone had an old broken bricked diamond I could useas a doner for the whole screen..

I tried the same but resulted in completely disaasebling the LCD. And was of no use later. I had to buy a new one. Better get a new on instead.

I just asked here to see if I could get one a little cheaper, but then paying around £20-£25 for a brand new screen etc, which includes the screen, digitizer, glass etc...
What you see in the eBay pic is what I would be removing from a doner phone.
But also if I bought a new one from ebay that would then get rid of any scratches etc.
Although I've always had a protector on it from day one, it was bought second hand so there are some minute scratches
I dropped my Samsung Focus and broke the screen glass. The touch screen works fine and i think only the outer screen glass has to be replaced.
I have searched on internet and found DIY repair videos to replace the LCD screen, but couldn't find any info about replacing the outer glass alone. But read its pretty hard to seperate the glass from LCD and replace it !!!
The LCD screen is costing around 120$ and the outer glass is costing 10-16$. I do not want to spend more unnecessarily if i can find a way to replace the outer glass myself.
Also, Samsung Focus is not oficially released here in India here, so i don't think i can approach the samsung itself.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi pranav. Same here , i have a samsung focus and lcd + outer glass screen is broken. In one of the screen replacement video i saw , the outer screen and the lcd as one unit and not seperate. Though , i am not completely sure.

I found only glass on eBay (hongkong or china i suppose). When i spoke to people from service center, all of them were saying it is not possible to replace only glass and they wont do it !!! i i don't know if it is really tough or they do not want to take much pain replacing glass and want to replace the whole LCD set which is easy for them.
And the total LCD + Digitizer + glass kit, i found it for 103$ in eBay US, and for 120 - 140$ in some other repair sites and Amazon.
Waiting for get the replacement from US as it costs less and get it fixed in a samsung service center.
Don't think that's possible. After all, the whole point of "super" in super amoled is that the glass is bonded to the display.

I also lost my samsung focus S 4G outer screen, phone is working find and the touch also, smooth as it was before. The outer glass got a hair line crack all over the screen. It fell on hard surface and got the crack.
Please help me to get the outer glass.

I've purchased the glass only and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It was very cheap and if it doesn't work, I'm not going to be too upset for buying it for about $11.00.

I can update if and when I receive my replacement glass from gogotoshop. I find the place questionable but used paypal and can dispute the transaction if it isn't legit.
BTW....removing the glass & digitizer is not an easy task. From attempting to remove my broken screen, I don't think it is possible to remove it from the LCD as the previous posters mentioned.

I have the same problem the front glass broken. other things are ok, I asked on sumsung service center they said the whole thing has to change, I am sure experts can change only the front class.
Anybody has any idea about if I can buy it in India or any site who can ship to India.
or in UK, my frnd is coming from there I will ask him to buy there for me.

Finally got my replacement LCD unit from US eBay. Actual seller is from china though.
Spoke to the Samsung service center guys and they are ready to do the replacement for a nominal service charge....
Going to service center now...

So just like the samsung and iphone models, the focus and focus s can be done the same way? I know for a fact that the galaxy s4 Active is best done by machine. Since ive tried but failed to do one. I have removed the glass from a galaxy s3 mini successfully, should this phone be the same? Please respond quickly!

I have never had to replace the in a cell phone before but my wife managed to break the glass on the S5 Active (SM-G870A).
Has anyone else had to deal with this yet? I have searched every source I could find for the glass but it doesn't appear to be on the market yet.
Searching Alibaba for the glass comes up with glass for an s5mini glass replacement :-/

Same here I dont believe there is a replacement glass yet, which is really frustrating when it comes to Asurian bull crap which is the insurance company for any sort of replacement devices.. $199 is the deductible .

Is just the glass broken? The digitiser is all OK? Just so you know there iscavhigh chance your phone will no longer be water/dust resident if you do this.
It's not hard. Do you have the tools? Heat gun (a hair dryer could work) pics ( guitar pick could work) .
Just go slow and make sure you heat the glass up lots.
If you want it to be 100% you will have to glue the digi to the glass. This all depends on how mechanically inclined you are and you will need more tools and skills.
