First of all, this question should not have been posed here.
Answer: There is nothing special that you need to do to your phone other than follow the installation instructions described in these ROM threads. It's just a matter of downloading files and put them in the root of the internal sd.
you really need to look at the FAQ. It's has EVERYTHING, you've search in the wrong section i'm afraid! Go to Q&A, it's all there, and then look at General to get you started.
Ok tnx for redirecting the thread.
But need i to root my phone before i flashin a custom rom ?

As I have mentioned earlier, you do not have to do anything prior to flashing a custom rom...just follow their installation instructions.

There's not much to add. Stock FroYo, based on WWE 3.15.405.3, rooted. As many of you were asking for.
Changes:
added root permissions
removed radio image (if needed, can be downloaded from here)
nothing else
Download from:
RapidShare
MediaFire
4Shared
FilesHost
MegaUpload (thanks to Zeyckler for this mirror)
Alternatively you can download version with removed boot sounds:
RapidShare
MediaFire
Cheers
People might shut up about it now. Lol
I can guarantee that people will now ask for one that doesn't include the radio.

Go ahead.. Kill 'em if they do..
Would be possible to remove radio update from de ROM? I'm saying it just to make the flashing process safer, and in case you already have an updated radio there's no need to re-update again.
please remove boot sound
AllWin you are the best! Thank you very much!

Use Silent Boot app, you can find it in the market. It works very well.

A greeting.

Do Nandroid backup first, so you can roll-back if needed.

it's always recommended to do a nandroid backup before flashing anything, but at the end it's your call
Yes, i would recommend to do nandroid backup first. If something goes wrong, you'll be able to restore your phone into previous state.
thanks guys i have only one last question is this rom based on the Vodafone rom or based on the unbranded rom that came out 3 days ago?

AllWin you're the man, thank so much for this.
Well since I cant find any info about my problem anywhere:
How to install your rom file (unsigned zip based), if someone (like me) installed already the plain unrooted version of [ROM]RUU_Legend_Froyo_S_HTC_WWE_3.15.405.3_Radio_47.51. 35.17_7.13.35.05_release (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870345).
I tried downgrading back to 2.1, but here I always get an "Error [140]: Bootloader version error".
I tried ROM Manager with Visionary+ (first temproot, which works fine, then try to boot up the recovery rom), with no luck so far. The device starts to load the recovery rom and ends up with a red question mark above a symbolic legend device graphic. I think, it tells me, that it has found a not valid rom (the recovery rom itself is here the culprit?).
I tried r4-legend-root, only to see all times a offline device with ADB in the HTC stock recovery mode. The error message is "error: device offline", so r4-legend-root does not continue. Also tried those plug out-wait-plug in thingies, but still no luck with this.
So I am totally stuck. Could bite me in the a*se, since I had an rooted V2.1 running, and if I had seen that rom here, I would saved a lot of time.
Maybe U could provide a RUU*.exe signed version, or a signed ZIP, so I can flash it happily with inbuild stock legend tools?
Or is there some other kind of method to get that ROM on my legend?
I use a Optimus Bright L-07C (NTT DOCOMO) same black

In fact thats a question that you also could have found information on by simply READING on the forum...So always use search first, whenever possible, avoids unnecessary post, second i am going to give u some points you can stick to. First of all I would root the phone (attention warranty voids) then install superuser and Busybox (you can find tutorials on that everywhere here) then install ROM Manager or soft similar to it, open the program, install ClockWorkManager, reboot to recovery system, backup, DONE!
As I said you also could have found that out on your own... And learning by doing is still better than not learning by copying
So i hope you manage to do it... also consider to have a look into this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771

HAHA... As you can read above, he had problems with CWM and so I am now wondering how he managed to back it up, since it appeared that his strange japanese version doesn't work the same way with CMW as our OB does...

Probably a stupid question from a noob: everytime I see an interesting ROM I would like to flash, the instructions say use CWM and Odin. But both apps warn GT-I9001 is not supported. What am I doing wrong?
Use cwm 5 from arco.

CWM and Odin aren't apps! You are probably looking at something in the Play store and are on a completely wrong path.
Odin is a windows program used to flash ROMs/Firmware on Samsung phones. Odin version 4.43 is the one you need.
CWM is a recovery, a small bootable system that you install on a partition on your phone that you can boot into to backup or restore the phone.
Start by reading the Wiki and the Starter Guide.

PROBLEM SOLVED GUYS
No need to flashing, just connect to computer, use lg mobile tools, then update through computer,,
Im really happy, I have lollipop now, thanks for the suggetion btw
Did you modify your phone in any way? It is or was rooted?
Anyway, you can either install Lollipop via KDZ (I am not sure if it update your system or make a "clean install" instead, install a fresh system and delete your data). Or you can install Kitkat stock ROM via KDZ and then apply OTA update, if you prefer (same remark as above applies).

Try using CCleaner to perform cleanup of junk files that often remain in the space meant for the update. Just a guessing here, no guarantees that it'll work, but you have nothing to lose. Needs no root. So give it a try.
problem solved guys, thank youu
