hi im looking ofr the latest stock rom but it loks like the interface changd at some point can someone tell me when it changed aka iphone style start bar etc
also anyone got link to said stock rom ( not the ship last time i tried that it nearly bricked )

Since you already have hspl 1.56, flashing the latest stock roms won't be a problem, in that case, choose your stock rom from here

1.57 is the latest Hong Kong Rom, 1.56 is the latest Euro rom base - 1.56.405.1 for UK, 1.56.401.0 for standard euro WWE

i bought 2 days ago a htc legend in vienna (austria) with a firmware
1.23.161.1 - it was a branded vodafone version - german!
SO after creating a GOLDCARD a flash this new 1.31.707.2 with SUCCESS
its not GERMAN, just english an some thai and some chinse language is possible to choose!
i restored all my progs with My Backup and its woking fine for ME!!!

i had to creat a GoldCard look modacos instruction:

BUT i had to change this LINE:
adb shell cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc1/mmc1:*/cid
adb shell cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc0/mmc0:*/cid
i had to change the number 1 with 0

a GoldCard is needed to remove the CID lock --> to debrand a phone
because i bought a legend with a vodafone software, i was not able to flash the new ROM untill i unlock the CID with the GOLDCARD
GoldCard: is a modded microSC - card, wich has to be put in the legend while flashing the htc generic rom in my case!

after using the new rom for some hours:
i downloaded morelocale2 from market and set German (austria) and it worked!
here you could also choose french - it should work for you also!
BUT you also will need an alternative keyboard because after flashing the 1.31 you can just between chinse and thai input!
so i needed better keyboard and the language pack! to get a german input!
Ps.: i just tried to flash an other htc legend (not branded) with a generic htc firmware 1.21.450.1 --> i also needed the GOLDCARD to flash the new ROM!
so i think you will have to creat a goldcard also!
but i have to say better keyboard is beautiful!

About the asian ROM:
Does MoreLocale2 change ALL of the texts in every menu? I tried it once, but didn't change the Sense's Settings menu, etc.
And do you have to download another keyboard, there is no english keyboard in default?

Last day i had official 1.31... and OTA does'n work... If you can't update via OTA then download RUU and install it. Only what you need is GoldCard. Download last RUU WWE... Insert goldcard to phone and install ruu via USB to phone...

I'm currently running this ROM. I installed it using a gold card. The ROM is very snappy and is much better than the 1.31.xx ROMs. Also it has GoogleMaps 4.1 with pinch-to-zoom preinstalled. In my opinion my Legend works really great with this ROM!
Everything is fine but you can't come back to stock 1.31. 2.03 made upgrade of hboot.
I made rooted 1.31 and then custom 2.03 from pongo and now I have old hboot.

I am also from india. Is it able to get further updates from HTC via OTA after i install this ROM manually?

since you're already s off, why not try ehabfg's sense 3.5 rom with arabic support?

and if your original rom is froyo, remember to flash a gingerbread radio as well.
simply download the rom, place it in your sd card, then go to cwm and flash from zip

Despite being S-OFF, you may need to use a goldcard to flash a RUU. I would agree with the previous poster that you could very easily flash the custom ROM he mentioned instead.
Hi all I'm fairly new to all of this however i did manage to get ARHD rom onto my old sensation.
I recently bought a new EE UK HTC one with the 1.28.61.7 software on it.
All I want to do at the moment is install the stock wwe edition rom on it so I can get the updates direct from HTC ota
is this possible at the moment?
