I know its a little late in the day but I just came across it if anyone is looking for one this is a pretty good price

That's actually, a pretty good price. They get cheaper everyday. If I didn't just buy my 16 gig class 4 sandisk id snag it up

Same here except I think I got a class 10

Which brand Class 6 Card is the fastest for G1?

Actually I am using TDK class 6, but I just find it not fast enough for swapper.
When I use it for swap, it just make the phone less responsive.
Which brand do you like most?
Most people say that a-data are very good, there's also some mixed reviews about Transcend and Sandisk. That's all I know so if someone else could some more info that would be great.
I've heard mixed reviews of a-data... like 1 guy got like 3 bad a-data cards in a row... another always had a good one.
I got a transcend... heard many others too on newegg.com... no complaints from me.
Does anyone know any good places to order from in the UK? Newegg doesn't ship to the UK and we don't have enything equivilent. Amazon and eBay just don't have enough choice.
I'm loving my Transcend card.
8GB Class 6 $18 at Newegg. Nothing but smooth sailing.
Just orderd a transcend class 6 8 mg. from Amazon for $19.95 ($5 shipping)
You should be able to order from Amazon.

16GB microSDHC class 10 worth it?

Hi,
My apologies if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find a thread about the 16GB class 10 microSDHC cards. I am asking for some positive feedback as to whether or not you all think it is worth it to drop the dough on a class 10, or just save a little and go with the class 6?
I found them to be decently priced at Newegg, Buy.com, and Tigerdirect. The one at Tigerdirect is a class 6k but Newegg and Buy.com are class 10.
I know that a class 10 over a class 6 data transfer speeds will be significantly better when inserted directly into a computer. But, would it be worth it to get a class 10 for my Nexus One, or are there hardware limitations that would still hinder the data transfer speeds from the N1 to a computer? If there are limitations then I will probably save a little money and go with the class 6.
Just looking for an honest answer here.
Thanks to anyone that can give me a little feedback.
Oldish post I know, but I need an answer for this too, I would greatly appreciate one. I've got class 2 and I'm sick of running out of space for apps.
Class 4 is good
But
Class 6 makes apps run smoother
How does class 10 fare to both? I had a feeling it was not by much.
Thanks.
I'll be using this for my overly obese g1.
Now you can get the 32gb exclusively from sandisk and it works well. I'm finally able to fit all my music on it with room to spare. The sandisk site doesn't give a class number though.

Class 2.. Google for SDSDQ-032G-A11M
the read speeds are all basically the same apparently..
i'm using the stock nexus sd card (class 2 or 4 can't remember) and 720p recording works fine, why would you need anything faster unless you are transferring a lot of large files frequently and don't want to have to wait.
i have the sandisk 16gb class2 and its running smooth. takes a moment to transfer, but not too long. A2SDext works like a charm. no lag.
I recently bought Kingston 16GB class 2 and Im very happy with it.
I chose it over the the tests, the write speed is constantly over 6 MB/s so I got "class 6" for the price of class 2

Recommend me an SD card.

I'm on a budget here, and I'm looking for an external SD to place all my media.
Thing is, I don't need to have amazing transfer speeds from PC to card.
I just play media on phone, and I don't frequently take videos on my phone.
So what's the best card for me? I suppose class 10 cards aren't a necessity for me right?
I bought a SanDisk 64GB Micro SDXC from Amazon for $45. Don't know what your budget is so it is hard to recommend something.

Yeah I know it's the best. But don't wanna spend excess money on a card which I don't need. Any other suggestions?

Just get a standard Class 10 mSD card. Unless of course you want 64GB in which case you would want to get the SanDisk Ultra 64GB
32GB

I totally agree.
Whatever your budget and size-need is; make sure you buy a card that is class 10. Class 4 are too slow for files transfers; they're good for the normal reading of audio and video files but the transfers (in and out) are just a pain-slow...

I bought a SanDisk Micro SDXC but only 32GB
i use sandisk 32gb buyed on Amazon two years ago and Perfect!

WOAH! Anyone have any experience with any of these Sony SD cards? Looks like they're priced to move...
I heard eg class 6 performs better than class 10 in some scenarios.
Is class 10 always the way to go?
I've had a class 4 kingstone micro sd card and it worked extremely fine with media files .. I think class 10 just for media is a little bit far
Sandisk 32 gig class 10 is $22 on amazon. The class 6 is a couple dollars more. You won't need the higher class for what you are doing. Just for basic pics and music a class 6 is fine. Also I advise against the 64 gig if you are using CWM recovery and/or a aosp ROM. They aren't friends.

I have a sandisk sd 64 and I really like it. For most basic users like yourself I would suggest looking for a bargain deal. Amazon has SD cards on sale most of the time, I wouldn't buy anything unless it was on sale if budget is important.
I got Samsung after my SanDisk failed

I'm no expert but, I am looking for a class 10 card myself. But, I am pretty sure that one would work.
Such a deal on that.. But just wanna make sure it works haha

I guarantee you will get screwed. You will not get the full space and the speed of class 4 is practically useless

Space you always get "screwed" on due to manufacturers using 1000mb=1gb instead of the ACTUAL measurement of 1024kb=1mb or 1024mb=1gb
But the class is something I agree with. class 4 is a bit slow. the other thing you have to look out for is if the class seems to be awesome for a small price, youre probably getting a class 2 instead of the higherclass advertised. been burned by this one often sadly. I no longer buy SD cards on amazon that arent US based lol.

I want one of the new Samsung Evo cards.
Meant to be very fast but expensive.
With a Class 4 card, you will not be able to take Zoe's. The device will tell you the card is too slow. Saving pics and videos will also be slow, and you might get stuttering playing saved video, although music should be fine. Get a class 10 if you can afford it.

I had a cheap no name 64gb sd card and that was awful. Matters with video and music reading. Now I have a transcend premium one and it is wonderful.
best, check ebay for decent prices

Unfortunately, eBay is awash with counterfeit SD cards. No name brands doctored to look like well known brands, and higher capacities (why the above reply mentioned getting "screwed" on the capacity). Folks on XDA have literally gotten SD cards where they peeled off the label (which said major brand, 64 GB, etc.) and found a label for a no-name 16 GB card underneath.
eBay is a great place to get deals, for sure. But unless you have a definitive reason to believe the seller and the product is legit, you really have no way of knowing if you are going to get counterfeit trash.
For this reason, I prefer to stick with reputable sellers like Newegg for certain things like SD cards.
