I just tried the HTC Super tool and got Root on Raider. Note I had bootloader unlocked via HTCDev.com

HTC made a update to the list of devices supported on htcdev and may be some at& t people should try it now

Nope, still doesn't work.
Hopefully HTC/AT&T will unlock it soon or it will get cracked. I'm guessing it will get cracked before it is officially unlocked.

it really doesnt matter what method you use to root the raider with an unlocked bootloader. they ALL do the same thing and flash the SAME files....
Give a try now, I can see lots of people posting that they were able to unlock the bootloader today using htcdev.com.
It was supposed to be released on 26th.

Yep, it apparently works now. I am really surprised that it got the official unlock. Great news to wake up to this morning.
I don't see the Vivid listed as a supported device on htcdev.com
Does not matter, just follow the instructions it is same process.

I'm assuming that's a rooted stock rom that obviously wont unlock the bootloader. but it installs like an official update?

Same thing here.
hmmm...
The zip tried to load twice from hboot.
I tried the recovery option and rec'd the red triangle.
Ended up with correct time on home widget, but 4 hrs ahead in upper right menu.
So I flashed the Cingular ruu and back to normal.
I notice the img file is about 11 MB smaller than the ruu.

We have to wait. It took almost a month I think for the Amazed 4G.
Just long enough so that the people who got it on day-one are out of the return/exchange period

Still downloading, but does this zip make any changes to the hboot? If so, has someone tried to do the htcdev unlock after running this?
Just wondering out loud, but even if hboot is updated...not sure if that would change the identifier token...
tried flashing through CWM just to see what happens! FAIL
Do I unlock my bootloader using HTC.com website or should I wait for a developer to create a S-Off method? do we really need S-Off?

S-Off doesn't really have much use on this phone. Since it's Qualcomm, kernels can be flashed in recovery anyway, and the only real reason for S-Off would be to downgrade to previous firmwares.

so if I use HTC.com to unlock it, I will be able to flash roms and stuff from recovery as normally I do with my HTC 4G LTE ?(been doing it with the EVO and EVO 3D also)
i think the s-off method is preferable above HTCdev.
Warranty wise that is.
if you are s-off you won't be registered @ HTC for having unlocked your bootloader and thus reduced your warranty...

what if you don't want htc to know that you are rooting your phone for warranty purposes
any way of doing this? anyone working on s-off?
No idea if the phone has had a chance to reach anyone outside of the EU (and slow roll out even over here.)
I'm guessing that when the phone is in the hands of a lot more people the race will be on to be the 1st to deliver s-off.
Until there's a desperate need for me to flash an updated radio or maybe a bootloader I don't appear to need it though.

Hey. I've been wanting to unlock the bootloader of my One and stupidly enough I accepted the 4.2.2. OTA so I can't really use revone now because of the updated hboot. Anyways, my only option seems to be using the HTCDev tool but here's where my paranoia comes to mind. Are they keeping a record on whoever's unlocked their One? Basically, I don't want them knowing I've unlocked it - mostly because they have no need to know it.
I guess I could wait until revone is updated but I have no idea when that'll be, hence my question.
Cheers.
They probably keep a record of who has requested an unlock token - but I doubt they can tell if you have used it or not..

I just want to unlock my bootloader, but I hate that everything's wiped. With revone, nothing's wiped but then again I'm not sure if S-OFF's ever possible on 1.54. Then I'm stuck.

I don't know the situation in Norway but in Holland HTC sends the phones in to a 3rd party repair company (dynafix, fixes all types of phones, also does (warranty) repairs for eg samsung) for warranty repairs, I doubt they can or bother to look into the database and see if an unlock token has been requested. I think the technicians have been instructed to look at the bootloader status (unlocked/relocked) and been instructed to deny warranty in such cases as much as possible.... I send in my device for warranty s-off(with revone though never unlocked via htcdev), but with locked bootloader, and it was repaired under warranty

Hello
Just purchased an M7 and looking to unlock, root the phone etc. I always used the Hasoon toolkit on my old One X+ but I see the thread here has been locked and downloads are not available.
Is there a toolkit that is similar for ease of use that is currently in use for the M7?
I will start to research as I see things have moved on with HTC since the One X days when getting the bootloader unlocked, htcdev codes and such.
Is it pretty much the same routine as the One X where I need to email HTCdev for a code, then get the bootloader unlocked?
Thank you kindy,

unlock bootloader from htcdev.com
flash twrp recovery 2.6.3.3
boot in recovery mode and exit, you'll be prompted to root the phone, select yes.
complete root with supersu installer now on your phone.
Thanks for that.
I remember it took days or even weeks to get the code from htcdev, is it still the same?

I don't use the tool kits using adb and fastboot is pretty easy and you will have more control on what you are trying to accomplish. I would suggest the Minimal ADB & Fastboot Tool for installing the programs. There is a link to guides in the OP and most OPs for custom rom/recovery and root will explain which commands to use.

Unlock the bootloader through HTC's website: http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader
Flash TWRP and flash SuperSU through that.
S-off I barely remember how to do. All I remember was flashing a 4.4.2 build of CyanogenMod and running Moonshine on it.

What error exactly? You don't need to flash anything to get your token simply do "fastboot oem get_identifier_token". You can find all the instructions at htcdev.com/bootloader.
What is your "fastboot getvar all" ? (Don't share your imei/sn)

you'll need sunshine (which cost you 25$) to root + s-off + unlock bootloader. I consider it worth every penny
I also believe that Kingroot will provide you temp root (will lost root upon rebooting). I havent use it for quite sometime, dont know if they improved it yet but i doubt it

You can't unlock a Verizon phone using htcdev.com. Verizon asked HTC to block bootloader unlock because they don't want their customer to flash stuff on their phones. So like said above you'll need to temp root your phone so you can use sunshine to unlock your bootloader and s-off
I think I have to sell this one and buy something newer so I can play with it... Thanks!
I lost my HTC One M7 (ATT) variant late last year due to a charger issue frying the mainboard. I finally picked up a replacement last night which is the Verizon Model at a good price and it is in brand new condition.
The previous owner updated to the Lollipop 5.02 version which lives on it now. I have tried every method including the latest Sunshine to get it to root or even temp unroot.
SupeSu
Kingroot
Sunshine
HTCDev (before I knew Verizon locked it down so much)
It is the HTC6500LVW.
Is there any method that works at this point?

You need to use kingoroot to get temp root and then use sunshine to unlock and s-off. There is a thread in the verizon general section explaining in details.

I tried Kingoroot all weekend long and it did not work no matter what I tried.
I was at work today, tried again and it finally did it's thing. I then used Sunshine and got the rest of the job done, and then removed Kingo and put the SuperSu on there and am now happy to report all is good with it.
As for why it did not work in the first several attempts, it is beyond me.
