[Half Review][Case] Ballistic SG Series for Nexus S 4G! 7/3/11

Alright guys so I have a half review for everyone. Due to me not being able to find my cable for my camera, I have pictures taken from my 4G so no pictures right now with it in the case. Will have some of those shortly! Enjoy.

Most likely it will. It's labeled as the 4G so don't blame anything on me! It fits awesome! It adds bulk but no more than any Seidio case. I think the protection is better than Seidio. The fit is perfect and snug. I can't do a review tonight but I will try and find my camera to do one for this weekend or tom/Friday.

I would throw it around if it were the HC Series but the SG Series is less hardcore. I had the HC Series on my EVO and dropped from about 8 feet onto broken up concrete with no problem multiple times. This seems to offer plenty of protection though.

Fits the pocket pretty good for a heavy duty case. Nothing worse than any other silicone case. I shouldn't say silicone but it's fairly easy in and out. That's what she said?

Thanks for letting me know about this case. I purchased the black one and it DOES fit my Nexus S (T-Mobile). The BodyGuardz I have on the back of my Nexus S seems to help the fit but I did contact Ballistic CS and they told me it would fit.
I was looking for a replacement for Otterbox (this looked so clean and probably would have been the best case too bad they didn't make it) and I'm liking this and the Aegis.

My Ma has one of those (well, very similar to that for the Desire HD). I just don't like the pink ... afraid of catching "The Gay"
I'm just joking, pink just isn't my colour.

Aluminium/Metal Case?

Just wondering if anyone could recommend an aluminium/metal type case for my i9020. Preferably looking for one in a white/silver/grey colour.
Alternatively, has anyone used this case/do you think it would be good quality?

The only other metal case I've ever seen listed for the i9020 is one listed on amazon, it's called BoxWave Nexus S Armor, I'd post a link but I'm new and can't do that yet
Can't recommend as I've never used it, but it looks tough.

I managed to find a silver one on ebay, will post pics when it arrives and let everyone know if it is good quality. Sorry shockem but I don't know anyone with a i9023, which is quite funny because that's the model they sell in Australia but all my friends imported theirs.

i got impatient and purchased that case anyways i got the black one which one did you get

that one you listed on ebay looks a little cheap-ish... just sayin.g that boxwave one looks ok, but i forsee that hinge/latch thing being a problem. looks like it open kind of easily. anyone else find anything of higher quality anywhere else? ive been looking for hours to no avail.

Front view of phone, this photo is the most accurate in regards to the colour of the case, the silicone front is definitely black.
The volume buttons and power button have black silicone over them. Ignore the colouring of this photo, bad lighting.
Back comparison, I purchased the silver one. There is a cut out at the bottom for usb/headphone ports.
View from back with case on. It is a bit of a fingerprint magnet.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE lighting showing the front view of the case on the phone.
OPINION: After using the case for a week I am very happy with it. Yes, it is a cheap case but to me it was worth the $4.40 Australian I paid. I especially like the cold feeling and the solidity of the case. I didn't have an incident in which I dropped the phone on concrete and I dinted the bottom corner of the case but it is not that bad. Overall I like the case but I will probably be purchasing another one in a few months because it will get pretty scratched from my fingernails and floating around in my handbag etc.
Any other questions about the case? Just ask.

Search ebay for 'nexus s metal case' and about 30 different listings should come up, most are for this exact same case.

[Q] Protective covers anywhere?

Has anyone found protective covers for the 4X anywhre?
I have only managed to find "socks" and holsters, but no form-fitting covers.
I realise it's still early days, but i would really like to protect my 4X.
I would really love something like a Powerskin for the 4X, but i doubt thats gonna happen...

I emailed SGP, asked if they were going to make cases for O4X. They said they have no plans for the meantime but will consider manufacturing if they see a demand.

Wouldn't it be hard to make a case for the 4x because of its design?

Got my Nillkin case today and I like it alot, feels good in the hand. It actually feels better to hold than just the naked phone, and that's rare. For me at least.

Okay I'll do that. I took a few pictures of the front as well but they were too dark.

Handmade padded pouch/sleeve

Found a simple padded zip pouch. I'm still gonna get the official ASUS smart cover as well, but wanted a travel pouch to throw on the passenger seat and to put in my messenger bag. Also glad my money is going to an actual person and not some crap Belkin company that over charges for garbage.

Just ordered! Case looks really nice is exactly what I'm looking for. I like the feel of the tablet alone and not some clunky trifecta-folding-triangle that you can put your pens and credit cards in. This + a screen protector = all you should need!

Looks like the perfect case to hold you over until you find something you want.

The Snupped ones seem pretty cool, but I'm not sure about having to ship it over from Singapore. The first Etsy post was not bad either. I'm wondering if groups like Byrd & Bell (wool + leather) will start making them for the Nexus 7, but they do have one for the Kindle Fire (which would probably fit). The only thing is that it's pretty expensive for a sleeve ($48).

Cheap Case Review (Lots of pics!)

Hey everyone, I'm back with another review with lots of pictures again. Some of the pictures were taken with my Galaxy Note 2, and even though they are some fantastic pictures, I took out another camera to take pictures with the case on the phone.
To be honest, this is a case that I thought I wouldn't recommend to anyone because it was a cheapo case and it feels CHEAP! I mean, REALLY cheap! But once it's on the phone, it actually feels really good in hand and then it gives it a textured back that will for sure not let you drop it as easily!
Enough of my blabbing.

You can find this case in a ton of different colors.
The buttons don't feel like they're going to click, but they're actually really clicky once it's on the case. It isn't as good as the original case that I reviewed last week, but for the price, it's good and you can feel the raised buttons.
Port holes are HUGE! I mean, every place there is an opening, this case makes it a lot bigger than it really needs to be! Check these pictures out.
Compare the hole for the speaker, or the pen silo!
And the camera hole
There is a higher lip on the case, so you can put it face down on the table and the screen won't touch the table.
I actually bought this case a week before I got my Note 2, and it just got here a few days ago. Ironic that I ordered it to have a case right away and it is the 4th case I got in the mail. Lol. I like the case, but it honestly doesn't compare to the Original case that I reviewed. It does have some good points and some bad ones. I like the texture, but it has massive port holes. I don't like how it makes my phone look though, but you can judge that for yourself. I'm going to stick to the original case. But it's not bad at all for the price that it is on eBay!
Would I recommend it? Yeah.
Are there better cases? For sure.
Better cases for the price? Probably not.

I've ordered from here before. Shipping takes forever unless you pay for faster shipping but it's legit and I got about 10 cases for my original note from there. They were only 86 cents! One of the best sites I've come across. The only problem I've run into is the pictures don't exactly represent the exact item. Like I ordered a case and the picture showed it transparent but it was really solid blue.
