Really nice he unlocked the bootloader of my r800i & lt15i.
Both had "bootloader allowed : no" & r800i was sim locked, now it's "bootloader allowed : yes" & fastboot works. (Track id & other sony apps still work too )
We can do it for free. I have too. ;-)

I seen your thread :

And I think you confound the unbranded phone that are unlockable for free (with sony method or s1tool)
and the branded phone (so with this message "bootloader unlock allowed : no") that need paid testpoint method (setool2, omnius, etc).
you dont need to pay for an unlocked bootloader! its really easy to do it yourself

Unless you're CDMA, then you have no choice but to pay. Unless there's something you know that nobody else does.

You need to take a second look at this service. I see no mention whatsoever to unlocking the bootloader. I think they may be referring to the carrier lock that may be in place on some phones if under contract etc...

You do realize that the seller on eBay is NOT unlocking your bootloader.... right? HE is unlocking your phones SIM so that you can use another carriers sim card with it. Then again though, as I am CDMA with an unlocked bootloader I have read that, correct me if I am wrong, that by unlokcing the bootlaoder it also unloks the SIM restrictions as well. I do not know if this is the case with this seller. He may just simply be unlokcing the SIM card restriction.
Quoted from the eBay sellers listing:
"Unlocking a phone is primarily done to allow the user to use the phone with a carrier other than the contracted carrier .By unlocking your phone a user could theoretically use it with any carrier that you choose.
Reseting the user code means reseting the phones user code that is preventing the user from accesing the phone's content to 0000."
Notice I marked where the confusion arises. Perhaps someone should email this seller and ask him if he is just unlock SIM card or the whole shebang....
EDIT: I have emailed the seller. Will report back if/when I hear anything
Help with my BL please

Did you say that you can do it for free? OMG I'm trying to unlock it a lot of time, I got the unlock sim code (paid) thinking that it will turn "Unlock BootLoader allowed:No" into "Yes" but not and I'm looking for a free method to do it, can u help me? How can I do it from home? I read that if you send an email to Sony with phone's IMEI and unlock SIM code provided and after a few days you need to deliver the phone to Sony and after 15 days it back home full unlocked, but I cannot still 15 days without phone. If you know another method without sending the phone, please, help me with my issue. Thank you very much in advance.

You means that we must reset code to 0000 to unlock bootloader? I don't understand, I'm waiting for someone who can unlock my branded play from France(for free).

Hi everyone !
First of all, I'd like to introduce a little of myself because i'm new here ! My name is David, I'm 22, and i'm from France (Sorry for my English :angel. I just switched from an iPhone 4s to a Sony Xperia T (obvious in this section of the forum, right? ^^)
I'm a total beginner about Android development, but i'm learning more and more everyday !
Here is my problem : The xperia I bought is simlocked to Orange, a french provider (even though I know it exists in other countries), and i'd like to know how I could get rid of this lock so I can use my phone with my unlimited plan from another provider.
Does the lock come from the fact that the it's a Orange Firmware ? Can I bypass it by flashing the firmware and installing another firmware that won't be from Orange?
Do I have to unlock the bootloader ? Root the phone ?
Thanks for your answers and your help ! :good:
It will be simlocked to Orange regardless, you'll have to call Orange or a third party to unlock it for you.
Only Samsung devices and certain HTC have certain ways to unlock the phone freely. I don't know about Sony, as this is my first Sony phone.
I already called them, they told me that it costs 76€.. And a third party would be pretty much the same I guess..
Well I hope there's gonna be another solution, because I can't wait to fully use it ! :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for your answer though !
Most t third pairs will do it for around 30 bucks
Did I help? Then please don't forget to press the thanks button.

well I can't find one that'll do it for 30 bucks, so if you know one !
French law about cellphone states your service provider is to unlock your phone free of charge (considering you ask for it) after the sixth month of your engagement.
It can be done sooner but as you said, it's not free at all, and you'll still have to pay for your monthly plan for the rest of your engagement period.

well if it is in status locked, you can unlock it (if i understand correctly). type *#*#7378423#*#* service info, configuration (or similar, am on cm10 so cannot look) and check if you can unlock it.

The phone is in status locked when I look in Service Info, but I believe some members here already did unlock their bootloader.
Also I flashed the original Orange branded rom and replaced it with the Generic UK one, which is not branded (I thought by doing this it might disable the simlock, but it didn't..)

what i mean is not simlock, of course, but it should say in that menu if you can unlock bootloader.
it should say something like: Rooting: Unlock of bootloader: Yes
edit: from sonymobile site:
Instructions
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your phone by checking the service menu. In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.
In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

It actually says "No" to unlock the bootloader, that's what I was trying to say previously lol
That's why I said that I believe, even though it says no, that some members managed to unlock it. Or maybe that status is proper to each phone?

That's true for the 2011 line and some of the 2012 line. But for Xperia t it is not (yet) possible. And if they unlocked while bootloader unlock allowed stated no they paid for it.

I tired the site the user below has linked for you but the codes they sent me did not work. They sent me two codes, both of which were
8 digits long. Non of them worked. I payed with paypal so hoping to get my money back.
I have been emailing them and they requested I make a video and upload it so they can see that it does not work.
So i uploaded a video showing them. They email me back and tell me the codes should work. I then replied saying they obviously don't.
And now waiting for a reply from them...not sure that will happen...let me know how you get on if you have done used them already

Hi king wolf. Yes I would say cellunlocker.net is a reliable website. My phone has been working fine on vodafone for the last few days now.
So, the carrier locked versions can be bootloader unlocked?
Two things that have kept me from trying to snag any of the T-Mobile/Orange ones on eBay (which are cheaper than the unlocked ones) are the limited success in SIM unlocking and the uncertainty about bootloader unlocking. It sounds like cellunlocker can eventually figure out the code to SIM unlock, but I'd rather not live with a locked bootloader again.

Unless you are planning on using development software on your device i think they is no need to unlock the bootloader. Cellunlocker will email you a 16 digit pin which will allow you to use any sim card in the device. If you wish to unlock the bootloader this can be done through the motorola website.
Not sure what you mean by development software, but I do plan to use custom ROMs, plus take advantage of the other benefits of rooting. I know the phone can be rooted without having the bootloader unlocked, but I don't think there's a SafeStrap for it, so we wouldn't be able to flash anything.
Some people seem to not have had luck unlocking the carrier locked versions through Motorola's website, which is why I asked.

Hi,
i ordered the Code from cellunlocker, but it doesnt seem to work. They sent me an unlockcode like this: a524asafasf 123456 123456 w445ßsadf.
So should i use the numbers between the code (123456 123456), and if yes the complete 16 digits or only the first 8?

You said the official method was not possible, not that your bootloader is permanently locked. There is a difference, as there is an unofficial method of using your unlock token
The security on the bootloader is very very strict and is unlikely to be broken any time soon, if ever. There have been discussions on it by some very knowledgeable people on these forums and they all seem to conclude that there's no way around it.

it needs a code look on internet for company who sell unlock codes or try your network provider for unlock code.
