I would advice you to at least buy 2 case.
1. Foldable leather case with at least 2 landscape standing position groove
This one for premium feel & function outing.
2. Left, right & back protected transparent hard plastic case
This one for light & casual outing.

I'd also recommend the Zenus case, which isn't on the list. I got mine last month, and am pretty pleased with it. It's leather and adds some thickness, but it still fits in my coat pocket, but not most of my jeans' back pockets. I may break down and get a lighter one late Spring, or might just carry it around naked.

The Zenus is a very well made case, it looks classy and isn't bulky, doesn't cover any of the screen and the stand on it is solid and works well. I'm very pleased with the purchase, unlike the stock Samsung case which is quite poorly designed.

I'm also looking for a tab case - great post with the video links. Since I'm new to the forum I can't post links, but google:

Retails at $69 USD. Pricey, but looks great.

otterbox case after a few drops i still love it.

I absolutely loathe cases where you have to slide the Phone/Tab into.
Not only are they difficult to put in and remove the device but they obstruct part of the screen and when you are swiping the leather edges can get in the way.
I much prefer the type that allows you to 'clip the Tab into place.
This method is easy to insert/remove and does not restrict the screen in any form.
Noreve do one (see here fore link) ~ This one has the added advantage of additional pockets for cards, notes, etc. and can be used as a stand to hold the Tab in Landscape.
Plus you can design the case to your own liking.
However, it's missing one vital ingredient for me and that is I would like to be able to remove the leather part that covers the screen.
I've seen cases where the case comes apart allowing you to remove the top screen cover which in turn makes it easier to hold and use the Tab when standing and if you put it down and want the screen on but not in it's stand you don't have a top cover flap hanging off at the side.
So... anyone seen a case similar to the Noreve but has a detachable screen cover?

It's an interesting design and as always the Apple brand gets the 'prettiest' of designs.
Not sure about that release mechanism though.... I'd rather have the top cover come completely off thus ensuring the sides and back are still protected.

Scosche Foldio is the best, no added bulk, easy to put in jacket pocket, even in a the back pocket of my jeans, easy to take out and show off if needed and makes an awesome stand.

I really like the Samsung Slide Release Sleeve. It protects the tab well but lets you get it out easily to use it. The Tab is a sexy device, no sense having it hidden away all the time!
I also have the "d30" leather travel case (from Carphone Warehouse) which is really nice for travelling (makes a good stand) but unfortunately it partially covers the soft buttons which can make it a pain to use.

I just received my ' Case Mate - Barely There '.
It is exactly what i was looking for. Not scared to place it on the table or sunroom floor anymore in case of scratching the back. I think the tab looks excellent in its all new black look
Now hopefully it will fit in the Brodit holder for my van

Generic Cheap Ebay TPU Gel Case Cover

Bought 2 of these and they arrived yesterday, gotta say I am a huge fan! $5 with free shipping, arrived in just over a week and fits the nexus 7 like a second skin.
It raises the front of the device so it won't be scratched if face down on a surface, has all the cut outs for charger, volume, power etc and the design looks nice and it doesn't feel cheap at all.
Will post pics when I get a chance but thought I would give a heads up, instead of paying $30+ for the other cases..this is a winner!

Same case is on Amazon for $5.95 shipped. It has two reviews, which aren't good, only 2 stars.

My modded Otterbox Defender w/ Leather Wallet Case

I wanted the protection Otterbox gives, but I also wanted the sleek look of a leather wallet case. So I decided to MacGyver it and combine the two.
The Otterbox Defender you can't really find a discount on, you're paying $40 -$50 after shipping, I think I got mine on eBay.
The leather wallet case however varies tremendously! The one I got was $13 and i've seen them as high as $60. You can find them as cheap as $5-$6 This was the exact model I got:

The problem being the included plastic "phone holder" in the leather wallet case is too small once I got the Otterbox case on my Note II. With brute force I ripped the cheap plastic phone holder out of the leather case. I went to target and purchased 2 packs of 12 velcro squares, cost me about $5 total. I also used and would recommend using super-glue to glue the velcro squares both to the leather case and the corresponding area on the Otterbox case, you'll need the extra holding power!
I had to glue velcro on the closing strap too, as the case I got had a magnetic closure that no longer held with the addition of the Otterbox Defender case.
I also found the need to cut pieces of the leather case. The first being the edge near the S-Pen holder. It was too narrow for my fingers, cutting the corner off of it solved that problem. I also cut some of leather away from near the flash. While the case doesn't interfere with the camera visual field, sometimes the flash will catch the edge of the case and produce instant unwanted shadows. After cutting the leather, I used a black sharpie to color in the bare leather in the areas I cut which worked brilliantly =)
The result is the perfect solution for me. I have the elegance and usefulness of the black leather wallet case, and the protection of the Otterbox Defender. Also The wallet case folds backwards to pop and hold the Note II horizontally, perfect for watching Youtube, Netflix, or any video you want to watch. If anyone is interested, I'll take some more detailed pictures of where I put the velcro and the cut mods I made to the leather case.

I will be getting the note 2 tomorrow and I am looking for an otterbox for it.

Minisuit TPU 3.55 on Amazon

I was shopping for a screen protector when the price for the Minisuit Black TPU case dropped to 3.55 with free prime shipping it was 10.95 earlier today. I'll probably be going with a sleeve for my nexus but it's good to have around for that price.

Yeah I received it today along with the two moko cases I ordered. All the are nice but I think I'm going with the TPU case as my main case, I just love the slender feel and it has the soft touch just like the Nexus. Now I just need to find a sleeve that can hold the Nexus with the TPU on it.

I like it also but one problem.
I just received my Minisuit TPU from Amazon. I think it is the best TPU case for Nexus 10 except for one problem. The plastic shielding on the USB cable bumps into the bottom edge of the shiny front-facing lip part of the case. It is a very slender portion and cannot be trimmed. My solution so far has been to push the TPU case portion away from the USB port opening which allows the connector to insert fully.
Other than this problem, I think I have found my final case solution.
Can others confirm their Minisuit TPU cases suffer from this same problem, or maybe I just need to order another?

Yes, the area around the usb port is little tight on the top on mine also, I'll probably just file a little of the case material away. Unfortunately I probably wont be using the two Moko cases I ordered, the ultra slim fits to tight and has shape molded corners that I can see scratching away the rubber coating of the nexus. The slim case handle has already left blemishes on the armorsuit screen protect from rubbing it while closed.

It's out of stock on Amazon but is available on eBay or UAG website for the same price. I'm not a fan of grimy clear cases get so I prefer the UAG. I also think it provides better protection from the looks of it

I normally love UAG my favorite brand but the scout looks like ass :-( so boring.

I have a Nimbus9 Phantom 2. Priced in the $35 range, but I think that it makes the phone stand out..

Otterbox Symmetry is absolutely useless. It actually increases your chances of breaking your phone. It's literally so slippery that if placed on your desk it will just slide right off with even a 2 degree slope, i.e don't put it on a book or magazine. Especially so if it's plugged into the pc, the charging cable will just drag it right to the floor. I had to cover the back of mine with skateboard grip tape off amazon, (comes in a roll) just to make it useable. I don't' know how they can go from the defender to the symmetry, it's also like an F.U for not buying the defender, but they don't' even make a defender for this one.
I just got the dual screen , but it really kills your battery so for out of the house use I think I'm going back to a case .

for 24 bucks. I just ordered one, It looks good. Silicone inside, hard aluminum outside, it actually screws together so none of that issue we'd all have with the otterbox where it stretched overtime and wouldn't snap in place like it used to. Plus it comes with a tempered glass screen protector and you don't' have to bother removing's some cheap plastic junk screen protector from the e case like you do with other ones of this build .
Oh plus the latter comes in 4 colors as well.
