Hi,
Is there a way of installing a new language without having to flash the firmware for that language's region? I want to add arabic as a language so I am able to have the menu, etc displayed in arabic without having to flash the Egyptian, Saudi (Jeddah) or Saudi firmware if possible. Maybe by just installing a language pack. I currently am able to read and write arabic texts so that part of things is fine.
Any assistance is much appreciated.

Arabic is not an option in the language settings, there are quite a few options but no arabic on mines.
Sorry about that. Thought there might in there somewhere. Maybe you will need to download firmware with letters JED in the list, thats the closest.

I've noticed today in samsung keyboard settings you can download languages, dont know if that helps you.

in the new firmware XXALK6 all languages exist in the languges list.

No. It mean no any item in "select language" menu, it only title "locale" and no content. Priev version 5.7 rc no this bug and it support my language, but current cyannobile no any language to select, it must bug

That is what squad was talking about.. he needs help in translations.. for now, only english is available. But in the future updates, he can include other locales if they already have translations on his gerrit.. you might want to help him out if you want your language to be supported.

Ohh, but i see cyanmobile not different more with cm 7.2 rc5, why he doesn't use cm language ?, and what different cm7 with cyanmobile ?
2, when my language updated, how to install it on my current rom ?, if flash and wipe date, cache, my apps and my setting will be reset!
Lilgupdate in rc5 seem not work, it don't tell me new update and still "lastest version". When updated via lilg, do i need wipe and reset data ?

It seems that all of the links for this tab's stock gsm roms are dead except the rogers ones. Does anyone have any that aren't? Im specifically looking for the AT7T i987 stock rom but would take anything stock US GSM at this point. I only have the overcome stock (Italian rom with italian apps...)
What is so Italian about Overcome?

I really don't know what are you talking about.
I have moved on from overcome rom,
but when I was using it I never saw any Italian apps.
Try factory reset any go through the whole setup wizard again.

I just switched to Italian,
And suddenly I have apps called Fotocamera, Messagi, Galleria.
Now I switched back to English, now it is called Camera, Messaging, and Gallery.

these apps are in overcome-stock-safe-v5 rom. not in overcomes custom rom.

You obviously haven't bothered to read/follow whole guide.
Do full re-stock then install the custom rom.
I have used Overcome rom many many times and never had any issue with Italian names. If you have had this issue you obviously haven't changed the language correct or you haven't fully installed his custom rom/kernel.

Actually I have but most of you aren't reading the op. I'm not trying to install overcome. I'm just looking for a stock AT&T or US rom to restore the tab to. The overcome stock safe has Italian apps. The links to AT&T roms are dead. The link to the international stock is dead.
I am not trying to install overcome. I am currently using the rogers rom instead since I can't find other gsm stock roms.

Install the stock safe rom THEN install the overcome custom rom. Its pretty much exactly the same as what you would get stock on any US rom, Its also GSM. Once you have insatlled the rom flash the appropriate model file.
If you insist on a US rom you could try sammobile.com

I've been regularly updating my samsung i9305 since 5.1 to 7.0, but this time i could not find the French language (in the Settings/Personal/language & input) except for the Bahasa, English and Chinese (i suppose ?!).

Hi there i got my One from 3, unfortunately it didnt come with polish language preinstalled so I use it in english. It is not a problem at all for me but when it comes to google navigation app Id like to have it in polish. Is there any chance to add polish language as a system language what should change some apps language too or maybe a language pack only for navigation app? Im running stock, not rooted but could do if necessary.
