[Q] How to sim unlock HTC ONE with S-off - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
So i achieved s-off but everytime i enter my sim card for my other carrier it says please enter unlock code. Can anyone help clarify what i did wrong or if there is something else i need to do. On the bootloader it does say s-off and i do have root access and an unlocked bootloader. Thanks in advance

Am i missing something. Would installing the desired network couriers firmware work. ( Telus firmware to get telus simcard to work on bell phone) Can someone please shed some light on this topic i am confused.

What you've done won't sim unlock the phone.
Subscribe to this thread - the guy is working on a simpler method to sim unlock or someone may be able to recommend a site where you can buy an unlock code.
If you really need it the guy might even help you do it.

Well, if its unlocked via imei, Im safe to unlock the bootloader... at least thats as far as I could gather by all the info scattered around.
To help narrow down the possible unlock method used, I can add that whenever the phone is rebooted, and there is a sim from a different Service Provider than the "original" one, it asks for a network unlock code. By tapping "skip" the phone then boots up and works just fine with any other Service Provider's sim.
This leads me to believe the phone was unlocked by other means than IMEI. And hence, all hopes of unlocking the bootloader are obliterated.

No Sim unlock is not the same as root an unlocking the bootloader .root will give you access to the system to change permissions ect
Remove apps you don't won't all stuff like that unlocking bootloader will allow you to installed custom recovery and root there are threads all about it on the forum and unlocking the Sim can be done via websites for phone unlocking and I think I might be wrong no to sure but some where on xda there are some threads about Sim unlocking hope this helped

[Q] Debrand, SIM unlock: what to do first? Does it even matter?

Hi all,
My question is rather simple.
I received my HTC One yesterday. It is branded by the French carrier Sosh.
I'd like to debrand it, so I cans put the stock HTC Sense Rom.
The carrier will send me an unlock code next week.
Can I do everything to debrand my phone, and then only sim unlock it?
Will I lose the official sim unlock passing the device to S-OFF, unlocking the bootloader, etc...?
Thank you very much for your help, I'd really appreciate.

Unlocking the bootloader, rooting, s-off and stock rom will not remove the sim lock.
The only way to sim unlock without paying a third party is to wait for the unlock code
Thank you for your answer.
And in another way, I can do everything, and only then, enter the code?

Yes you should be fine
I also think it does not make sense which you will do first. If unlocking the bootloader, S-Off, root cannot unlock the phone wwhy they will locked it after unlocked from the carrier with code from same. Also if there is any reason the phone to be locked itself you will have already the code to unlock it again.

help! my M8 didn't ask me about the unlock code

I try to unlock my Sprint M8,I tried T-mobile and AT&T sim card.
But my phone didn't likes youtube video, My phone didn't ask me about the unlock code. It just simply tell me the sim card is Invalid.
I have tried to use the unlock helper to unlock it, but it just unlock the internation lock.
I still want to unlock the domestic carrier lock.
Is it the ROM problem?
My phone use the Android 4.4.3,and it is S-OFF.
Please help me!
If you're trying to unlock your phone to use it on another domestic carrier, you're not going to be able to do that. SIM unlocking will work for international use.

Because your phone is carrier branded, you must sim-unlock it to be able to use it on another carrier.
You can sim-unlock using a paid code. There are many onlince service for that. A sim unlock code generaly cost between 5 - 15$ US. You put the sim card in the phone, boot the phone and then you'll be prompted to enter the code. (phone must be on stock rom)
This is an example of a website offering that service (not tested myself) http://www.doctorsim.com/us-en/unlock-phone/htc/
If your phone is s-off, you can sim-unlock for free if you have the required hardware and knowledge (SIEEMPI method)
There is also a new method to sim-unlock by using the Sunshine app (which was previously only useful to achieve s-off). The app cost 25$.
Version 3.1
Added HTC m9 support (not Verizon)
Added Experimental HTC Simunlock (Not m9, Not CDMA devices)

so try sunshine method, if it doesn't work, you'll have s-off anyway so it will be possible to unlock using the sieempi method
HTC 612 Verizon
is there a way to S-Off this HTC device for free like the old firewater I have no problem paying Sunshine app but I need this phone SIM unlock for a customer what if after paying for the app and gaining S-Off the SD Card method don't work for this phone
then I'm out of 25 dollars again no problem with that but I only need S-Off to SIM unlock the phone for a customer
Thanks
