EDIT: If you're unhappy, speak up here.
Minus the little EMI interference on the earpiece, absolutely. Super fast, great battery life, beautiful design.
Exactly what he said - I only get the interference in calls and not every call. Other than that, awesome phone.
I am really happy with it as well. I came from a epic 4g to this so it is an amazing difference. Better battery life and super fast.
I think it is all relative. I am sure people jumping from much better phones like GS3 will not be as impressed with this device as I have.

Same here.
OP, you may want to keep this poll open a bit longer considering some of the limbo/backordered people are only now getting their phones shipped to them.
With a piss poor camera and a lackluster display with it's specs I am happy for the price I paid but if this was $500-600 off contract I would stay away myself... I have a Note 2 and an S3 and my Note 2 crushes this phone IMO and the S3 is close but then again it does not offer you that pure "GOOGLE" experience either and the S3 has soo many tweaks out and better optics and display (IMO) it's just what you want out of your device but I am thrilled to own it! It will definitely be my flashaholic phone!
EDIT: Okay guys I have had it for awhile now and I DO think the screen is VERY nice so I take away my comment from above but I am kinda disappointed in the camera's but who cares really! I am charging it wirelessly as I type... Time to start flashin!
;( I wish they would let me change my vote.... lol This just goes to show that you can NEVER judge a phone or anything for that matter, before it has been FULLY tested and I admit I spoke too soon! I LOVE the N4 on my T-mobile $30 Monthly 4G plan! You just cannot compare this phone to any other!
Oops, accidentally gave the guy above me a thanks. But I'm completely happy with this device. There is absolutely nothing I would change about it.

Opinion is just that and since he didn't ask what phone you thought was better, maybe you should have kept it to yourself? Its troll bait and as you state twice. Just your opinion.
Of course, If I spent as much as you on those two other phones (which, IMO are not even close to this phone) I would try to justify it just as badly as you have, ..
Maybe u should add something to the poll like:
"I can't evaluate this because Google is too incompetent to ship the Nexus 4"

Well he did say to add comments if you are "MOSTLY" satisfied so I posted MY comments and if you don't like that then I don't know what to say but I did say I do Love the phone but I have others to compare it to and I did just that! You don't know what I spent and I justify my purchases based on my use and everyones use is different so..... Sounds to me like you don't like me cause I have an opinion...? Try not to be such a "hater"... And I believe you stated your opinion correct?? LOL No hard feelings, I love the device but it's not the only device out there... Enjoy everyone!!
pretty happy with my n4 however my bottom left corner squeaks when squeezing it lol.... anyone else with this problem?
I read so many posts of people being upset about this or that so I was skeptical, but now that I have had it in my hands for 2 days........I love it its the best phone I ever had. I am on T-Mobile and came from a One S and a S3 and don't miss either device. The hardware feels premium, much better than the S3 and right up there with the One S which despite its shortcomings had great build quality which I missed when I moved to an S3. I will be sticking with my Nexus 4 for a while.

Better than my GNex for sure , only bummer is that Android still produces low volume through the headphone jack
I came from an S3 and I have to say, I'm enjoying the Nexus 4 a lot more. As soon as I'm able to get my backups installed (Ubuntu and Android don't seem to be playing well unfortunately) I'll be able to enjoy it a lot more.
I'm coming from an Infuse 4G, so it's a big step and I'm definitely happy. The only real issue I have so far is that the phone slides if it's on a smooth surface that isn't completely flat. Like my laptop in its dock is a hair higher in the back than the front, and the phone doesn't stay put, it slides toward me. Same on tables, mouse pads, etc. Needs a little bit more friction.

Getting really bored of my Samsung Galaxy S4 and am looking towards the HTC ONE.
What do you guys reckon?
Whats the battery life and camera like?
Does the metal body chip or bend or damage easily?
I also switched mate. S4 is nice but the One is even nicer.
The quality and design feel alot more premium than the S4's design and the screen is absolutely gorgeous.
Super LCD 3 is waay better then S amoled in my opinion.
Be sure to convert it to Google edition
Just do it, you wont regret
I had the s4 it was the worst phone I ever touched. From lag to cheap plastic to unoptimized software and Samsung using half of the storage I couldn't deal with it. Switched to an HTC one and never looked back and I am on att.

Battery life is slightly less than S4. The edges will chip with rough use but the metal doesn't bend. You'll feel a performance drop [reduced framerate] when playing graphic intensive games like MC4. S4 is smoother with such games. Again, ever so slightly, but noticeable nevertheless. However, overall smoothness HTC>S4. Camera... it really depends. Check out some of the camera reviews here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167592. HTC One screen >>> S4. If you're coming from the 16GB S4, you should enjoy the 32GB of space.
And oh oh Boomsound! You should hear the speakers on this thing man. They're on a different level... just amazing!
My verdict... wait for the HTC One Max.
Didnt samsung fix the lag in there latest update? Anyways this phone feels more high end all around, hardware and software wise and also things like the tv remote seem to work better and have cleaner interface

Main thing that concerns me is the camera
I've seen samples and the S4 is much better - is this really the case for those who have switched?
Also, I can root the S4 in seconds, is it the same with the HTC?
Go to a shop and try the One M7 in your hands and see how you feel, i bought an One M7 over the G4 for the stereo speakers for when i watch a movie and it is glorious, and the screen is so good amazing detail, but i would still like an S4 if i had the money

Rooting is very easy ..just unlock bootloader through HTC dev then flasha a custom recovery...simple as that takes three mins...then you probably want to do s off

My honest opinion on the HTC camera,,, with Sense its great in low light, but its nowhere near as good as the 8mp shooter on my missus iPhone on regular old daylight pics, id even say my old Samsung Droid Charge took better pictures..... and once i went Google edition i think its worse again, kinda grainy, why not just convert your S4 into a Google Edition, im seriously thinking about going down that route, camera has been a bit of a letdown for me on the One

there are plenty of sites comparing them both. they will give you much balanced review. and no most of them never gave you a balanced view. just 2 of them did .
The camera, in my opinion, is just fine for 99% of typical usage. If you're gonna print out copies, the One will not be as good... but if you just keep them on your phone to share, text them to other people, or upload them to social media sites, the camera is more than sufficient. The low light performance is a plus as well.
Battery life is pretty damn good in my opinion. I haven't done anything to optimize my battery life, and it lasts me a whole day of medium usage. With some tweaking, people are seeing 5 to 6 hours of screen on time. If you use your phone more than that in a day, it's likely you're in need of a new job or hobby, haha.
Hardware is simply untouchable. The screen is beautiful and converted me from a huge loyalty to Samsung amoled screens. The body of the phone is gorgeous and feels awesome in the hand. The dual front speakers are not just hype... they are truly astounding.
Software was a nice surprise for me. I've always hated Sense, and thought it made phones ugly and sluggish. Sense 5 is neither. Though I use Apex launcher, HTC really impressed me with their refinements of Sense. Like others have said, the phone flies through pretty much everything except intensive gaming.
Overall, in my book, HTC won this round of flagships. They won't sell as many, but it really is a much better phone.

Here's the skinny...
If you are shooting in anything but optimal light get the One. I have been amazed at the quality level with no noise. Sunny day shooting looks great as well but it does have the slightest bit Lower quality compared to the S4

If you happen to live in the US and also happen to have a T-Mobile S4, I will trade with you. Mine is 9.5/10 condition wise. Only reason I don't give it a full 10 is because I've used it. 10/10 for me would be unused.
Anyway, if you want to swap, PM me. It would have to be a T-Mobile S4, though.

They are very different phones in a lot of ways, so there is no one answer as to which is "best". It depends on what you use it for and how you use it.
I went with the One because I liked the look and feel much more. I just don't like plastic phones anymore. Playing with them side by side, I just found the One smoother and faster.
My phone is heavily optimized, but I have no trouble going 36 hours without a charge.
The camera issue is quite polarizing. It depends a great deal on what you use your phone for. If you take photos mostly for texting and social media, the One is superior because of it's better performance across all conditions. If you use it as a replacement for a point-and-shoot camera, or expect to be able to blow up/crop the shots, the 13MP camera on the S4 is a better choice.
This is a very tough phone. I haven't bothered with a case or screen protector, and it still looks out-of-the-box new. My screen does not have a single scratch. CNET threw their test unit out of a moving bus and it survived with no more than a ding on the corner.
You may be able to root the S4 faster, but the locked bootloader on some models has inhibited development. Development on the One could not be more robust--some rom threads see 200-300 posts a day.
So, as an owner of the HTC One i'l give you a honest thought.
FIRST OF ALL - I don't know how much money you have to spend and I'm not going to get into your life, but if I was in your situation I wouldn't recommend buying the HTC One if you have the S4. It doesn't even matter if the One is a bit smoother and has an aluminium body over the s4's plastic body, at the end of the day they are both top android phones with similar specifications. I moved from the old Galaxy S1 to the HTC One, Now its just amazing how different they are I cant even explain, the HTC One is probably the best phone I've seen out there, but at the end of the day? they are just similar, running the same OS and they both are used the same.
So After giving you my opinion let me tell you this:
1. First, the HTC One is definitely the smoothest android phone I've ever seen - including the Galaxy S4. and By the way the phone runs MC4 and whatever game you pick smoothly.
2. the HTC One has the best screen I've seen, comparing to the Iphone 5, the Galaxy S4 and others - its absolutely beautiful and stunning. Moving from the S1 was a shock to me.
3. The camera is pretty good, it has nice pics though I think I would pick the S4's camera - to me its not a big deal.
4. I know its all about opinions, but the HTC one is just the most beautiful phone ever, People see it and stay with their jaws down. The thing is I might be a bit paranoid, of course after paying alot for it, I cant go commando with it so I've put a protector that should protect it the best, so I cant see how nice it looks.
5. Speakers are just crazy, but seriously, who doesn't use their headphones? and If I've talked about the headphones already I must say that the headphones that come with the One sounds amazing using the phone!!!! I never thought that I could hear so good with the phone/heads.
6. Battery Life - I must say that the battery life is amazing for me!! I'm not a heavy user at all, but my Locations and 3G/wifi are on all day long I use facebook, play some games, whatsapp, Internet, waze and the battery won't end! I usually charge the phone every second day.
So after pointing all these out, the htc one is pretty amazing and its stunning, but If I were in your situation I would keep the money and stay with the S4.
Good Luck,
Thanks guys
I'll have to have a play with one to compare

....and I'm going back to my n5. The g3 is a nice phone but it didn't blow me out of the water and wasn't the clear step up from the n5 that I thought it would be. The g3 isn't much faster for most things and not as fast for some, the camera was good but I've never had a complaint about the n5's camera, and the screen really wasn't better at all. In fact, side by side I preferred my n5's screen, especially when using auto brightness. At full bright there was a slight advantage to the g3 but in normal use it's just a bigger nexus. All that qhd media talk seems to be mostly just that, talk. I really wish instead of the qhd they would have spent time on making it waterproof and maybe metal, or at least a little better feeling than it is.
I'm sure many will say the g3 is way better, in fact there's a thread in the g3 section about switching from this to that. If you are thinking of upgrading I won't say don't do it, but make the change with realistic expectations.
I'm in the same boat. Had the G3 and went back to the nexus. Can't do bloatware. Can't handle slow updates. And don't want to root and ROM. I wasn't really impressed with the battery life. Didn't really like how slippery the phone was. Plus 600 dollars for the G3 is a big turn off. Not worth it IMO.
I will say this about the Tmo g3, it's easy to root at least, but there are exactly 2 roms for it right now. You can use xposed to add some tweaks but then you can't use art. A lot of lg's apps, like the health app, force you to use their home launcher.
I also got a G3, but I love the nexus more. The G3 is like a advance version of N5 with bloatware.
there are somethings really interesting:
1. I got a 40MHz 2.4G wifi which only the N5 can connect without problem, the G3 and Nexus 7 both have problem (5G is ok)
2. the G3 is really easy to overheat, when I charge the G3 a while, it say I can't get 100% brightness (which it lock down to 80%) due to overheat, but I am not using it at all.
Ok guys, let me start with... I love my N5. BUT... coming from a Note 2 I felt like I gave away lots of things that I really was pampered with. When I first got my N7, the first thing that crossed my mind was "If they made a device with the same design, I would love it" and then the N5 was born. I was one the ones that stayed pressing REFRESH for a long time, a very long time until my order went through. I got my device and was happy for about 11 minutes, then I started seeing the compromises I have made. But don't get me wrong, I still love it and enjoy it very much.
My first complain about it was the obvious and what I had already made peace with, like MicroSD and gigantic battery, then! I found out that USB-OTG is not supported OTB and I have to install additional apps to make it work, the gallery app is nothing compared to what I was used to, and the there was little things here and there that makes the relationship between the device and me more of a love and hate thing. As soon as I saw the G3, was like a breath of fresh air. Getting back the size 5.5", MicroSD, USB-OTG, battery and all the other pluses that comes with it. The G3 is my new toy and companion but N5 will always have a spot in my heart, I always hated myself for not getting the GNEX and as soon as the SG3 came out, I jumped on it and got it. this time around I'm glad I got the N5 and have the amazing experience but its time for me to move on, who knows! maybe if the next Nexus have all this features that I can't seem to live without, maybe in a few months, but for now... The time has come.

This is what exactly when I try to explain the different of Nexus and other flagship smartphone.
If you want a sport car and you can afford the money, you can buy a Ferrari, you don't need to do anything and it already very fast, with nearly all things you need, with a great complete experience.
Or you can get a subaru/civic type-r (or anything cheap), spend your time to custom it to make it run fast and add options you need.
Tastes differ.
The only Tmo store near me has consistently been terrible, I don't know why, maybe it is the manager but the employees ae generally terrible and today when I took the g3 back was no different. The guy asked me why I didn't like the g3, I explained my reasons as above and he just kept pushing.
He tried to tell me how out dated and slow the nexus was and how the software was exactly the same etc etc, I didn't bother tryi to argue with him but it seemed like he'd never rooted a phone and he definitely had never used the n5. His last sentence might have been true, he told me I should have used it for a few weeks before returning it and I would never miss the n5.
Only problem with that is I only have a 14 day return period and I'd be away during the last few days. Anyhow, I'm back to my nexus. Maybe the n6 will be great and convince me to switch, until then none of the other top line phones have what they need to make them worth switching, for me at least.
Yeah I'm waiting on the n6 but love my n5 tho an uber kernel is da bomb
I was tempted by G3. I stuck with my N5 and just picked up a 1+. I was bedazzled by the boxing/packaging of the 1+ and its new factor. I made it a day on CM and switched to Mahdi ROM. I would love to try L on it. I do not have big hands....enter joke here, and miss how my N5 felt in my hand. I don't think the G3 would sit as nicely as my N5 does. I have a GN2 that I use as backup and 1+ is way better. I will probably use 1+ as my new backup and stick with my N5.
Here's a pretty good read: http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-g3-two-months
I thought the G3 would have been much better (screen wise). Seems most are let down by it. Ended out getting the nexus 5 thinking I would be disappointed... Boy was I wrong... What a beautiful device.
Whilst I find all the n5 love reassuring I'd kill all my relatives for a G3!

Best thing I've read all day.
It will dawn on people, I hope, that phones have plateaued as far as doing stuff. We don't need quad hd,etc. They play games movies etc grt. The N5 with kk is the embodiment of this. The next change won't be until 64 bit~6gig ram ~ true pocket computers we will walk away from the desk and pick up to take with us. Until then change is just to sell new models we don't really need. The device that I mention is on the way, until then I'd only update for practical reasons, faults etc. When we have L on the n5 properly that will give it a shot in the arm.
I have both phones and they exist for very different markets. Did you guys ever stop to notice that the N5 didn't have a single ad? It just isn't for a normal consumer. The nexus 5 was designed for messing around with software and debugging for devs. Whereas the G3 is just for average people who want a bit of power and battery life to go along with it. If I was a general consumer I'd hate the N5 due to its poor battery life, speakers and camera and would never buy it. Whereas the G3 has a solid camera and battery life. Two things that mainstream consumers care about.
All Nexus lines since the Nexus S were sold as mainstream phones by the carriers here.

This thread probably infuriate some (Sam fans) and be informative for others. Help people perhaps decide whether to buy or not.
I'm sick of touchwiz it lags and ugly. Probably worse the. Lg's ui. A phone which spec wise packs so much can't handle it's own ui.:silly:
How many people feel that's true?
Samsung are losing market share due to them not listening to their customers. Samsung need to switch back on and start reacting to consumer demands. Plastic is not appealing anymore. I hear the argument "need plastic back for removal battery" well people you don't need it to be ugly. More then one way to remove battery.
Get rid of the ugly design with plastic back, take a leaf out Htcs book.

why do u think this will help other people decide? just 'cause a ferrari came with a defective engine doesnt mean everyone should stop buying them..if u hate touchwiz so much then why'd u end up purchasing the note 4? samsung are losing costumers as well as apple and htc..costumers come and go..and the note 4 isnt plastic..it has a metal body
I'm not sure that the Note serie is responsible of Samsung loosing consumers. In fact, a recent poll on Phonearena shows that more than 81% of people think that the Note 4 is the best large-screen on the market right now.
Maybe the GS5 was disappointing and an update hard to justify but IMO, that's not why Samsung looses consumers.
There is more competition now and newee phones simply aren't big upgrade anymore (except iPhone 6/6+ for last-gen iPhone owners).
With a lot of manufacturers that sell high-end phones for 400$, It's harder to sell with a price tag of more than 650$.
As I remember, only low-cost company gain market shares recently.

Seriously dude look at iPhone 6 plus it's a massive hit. It's outselling every other phone in the market and I'm not an apple fan but android.
Back in the day there was only one phablet which was the note but now you have more choice which is why people are not buying the note 4.
Spec wise samsung should be doing much better as far as performance is concerned but in really use the iPhone is better. Take the finger print sensor, on the iPhone it works seamlessly every time as it should On the note 4 well it's hit and miss.

These are valid arguments, s5 was a big let down which has put off many people.
Yes low cost pomes are taking a chunk of the market but I think most who buy them are probably disappointed.
I've been saying this since S4 was launched that samsung eventually will lose consumers if they carry in with the cheap plastic look and touchwiz, see my earlier posts. Samsung have been vey slow in reacting and are laying out daily, same mistake Htc made. I think the next phone samsung launch will address the plastic and touchwiz issue, unless they are still, asleep.

Year to year, in september, Apple's market shares are down. According to Kantar's analysis, the only market they are gaining market share year to year is EU5 where Apple is already very low (less than 15% market share).
Nexus 6 will certainly not sell very well if Google doesn't invest in marketing. None of the Nexus was a massive success to date. They sell well in a nich market of tech savvy.
Chinese brands, in the other hand, gain market share very fast (Xiaomi growth by 267% year to year if I remember correctly. When the market is only 26% larger).
Businesses and marketshare will go up and down in cycles, in a year or two numbers will rise again. This is normal behaviour to have these fluctuations as demand for products vary from time to time. It's a long time since Apple had a steady flow, they also suffer from fluctuations in their marketshare and product sales figures.
I'm not worried about this temporary setback for Samsung, they have a massive amount of money and electronics is not their main source of income.

You say people are not buying the Note 4 yet Samsungs recent quarterly results reflected that they have sold more phones and the Note 4 is already a major contributor, confirmed by Samsung's VP.
If you are going to make bold claims please stick to facts.
FYI: according to Kantar, Apple continue to lose marketshare globally, including in the USA:
http://www.mobileburn.com/23718/news/apple-loses-us-market-share-despite-record-sales
iPad also losing share to Samsung:

Dont like the plastic back? Just buy a metal back. PROBLEM SOLVED.
I really hope Samsung doesnt make a metal unibody for the Note 5, like the recent ugly HTC and Apple phones that look like someone shat the 1980s expectations of 2010 "scifi tech" through a douchefactory. I hope they stick to removable back, because then you can CHOOSE to have an easily scratched slippery ugly metal back or a grippy durable nice plastic back.
I dont find ANY gimmicky software on my Note 4. I find gimmicky hardware though, like the heartrate sensor and UV sensor. What exactly do you think is gimmicky software on the Note 4?

I doubt that a "vey small percentage of people" uses the camera, or the S-Note. I am sure quite a few people are using multiwindow, the ultra power saving mode, and so on. All these are part of Touchwiz.

Do get a bit of lag, nothing major though. The messaging app was especially lagging for me, but that was easily fixed by replacing it with a 3rd party app. I'm finding a lot of the features to be very useful actually, not gimmicky at all, one-handed mode, ultra power saving, download booster, all the S pen features. The back is nothing amazing but doesn't look cheap until you take it off, would be keeping it hidden under a case anyway, so again not much of a problem. The positives far outweigh the negatives for me.
I like the note 4 design and feel, especially the fake leather back. More than my old HTC m8.
And regarding touchwiz, only lag I have is the recent apps button.

Your statements are opinions, based on taste or preference no facts. I do agree with you on the lag issues, I do feel like TouchWiz is a hindrance and that it's not very appealing. However a lot of people love TouchWiz. You saying that Samsung doesn't listen to us doesn't compute though if they didn't listen and try to anticipate our needs they wouldn't have a gazillion device's.
That being said the millions they spend on developing and advertising so many devices coupled with their pricing and the emergence of Chinese phone companies like Xiaomi and Oppo to name a few are a reason why they're not fairing better. You can't be the king forever. Samsung is still doing fine the market has changed.
As far as looks are concerned I find the note 4 gorgeous. My opinion. I agree with you on the useless hardware and software part and firmly believe that Samsung phones should come out with stock Android on their own framework and put all their bloatware in their app store like they did with their extra camera modes. But again, that's my opinion.
I decided to ditch Samsung after the s5 I felt that them offering the same phone for what was arguably the 3rd time was a slap in the face but the note 4 is in a league of its own and that's why I'm giving them another chance.

No, they are losing market share because other manufacturers are making better and better phones that is selling better and better. This just forces Samsung to make even better phones, like they did with the Galaxy Note 4, which is just positive.

No thanks. We don't want slippery aluminum that makes us risking our phones to fall down on the ground / asphalt which also makes the phone looks butt ugly with dents and scratches all over the places. I'll rather have a Polycarbonate backcover with this fake leather over the polycarbonate plastic just because it gives us a pretty good grip on the phone. Have you ever tried to use an iPhone 6 Plus with one hand without feeling that you are about to miss it down to the ground / floor?
Try it and you will realize why we want Polycarbonate backcovers with fake leather over it.
Not only that, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 looks waaaaay better than the iPhone 6 Plus and HTC One M8 combined.

It's pretty clear that you don't understand the whole meaning of the Note series. The TouchWiz features is what makes the Galaxy Note phablets to be the ultimate phablets they are today. Look at the iPhone 6 Plus. It's just an oversized iPhone 6 meant for HUUUUUGE peoples. You don't gain anything with the iPhone 6 Plus over the iPhone 6 except for the landscape thing in some apps.

It's a massive hit because of good marketing and overhyping in the media. Anyways, who gives a damn about that when you see that Android worldwide have a massive marketshare of 84%. iOS have a lil 12%. When we are looking at that stats worldwide, then wo cares about iOS anymore then?

A Nexus 6 or an iPhone 6 Plus is not even considered a real phablet. Just having an oversized iPhone 6 with no new things except for some lame landscape mode isn't even taken as a threath to the Galaxy Note 4. if you are going to create a phablet, then make sure to use the screen size to something usefull.
A Nexus 6 is just the same as the Nexus 5 with just better specs. That's it.

Here is a clue for you. Even though the Touch ID on the iPhone 6 / 6 Plus is more easy to use, you are far from being any more secure with it over Samsung's fingerprint scanner. Because when you use the Touch ID, you are just pressing directly on top of the Touch ID button, which leaves your fingerprint completely available to anyone who manages to steal your iPhone. With Samsung's fingerprint scanner, you have to swipe to get it to work. That means that you are actually swiping away your fingerprint on the fingerprint scanner on the home button. So those who steals your phone is going to have a really hard time to figure out the fingerprint then.
I'll rather take more security over a little easier usage.

Samsung and TouchWiz as it is on the Galaxy Note 4 is all fine. The only thing i will say though is that Samsung needs to refresh it's color scheme and update it's icons in TouchWiz, so things can look better. There haven't been much changes on Samsung's icons since Samsung Galaxy S2 came out for the most part. But for the functionality and what TouchWiz is capable of doing, it's there to stay and it's there to be used.

Yeah, eBay 4tw when it comes to buying cool backcovers for the Galaxy Note 4. I'm actually gonna buy a Carbon Fiber backcover (not complete carbon fiber) here pretty soon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/30135668976...49&var=600351115625&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
The black version of the Galaxy Note 4 will look smexy sexy with that backcover. You can also buy aluminum / metall backcovers, but they are going to get your GSM, 3G / 4G and Wi-Fi signals to be worser. So i'll rather avoid that. Not only that, but the back of the Galaxy Note 4 looks really good now with the fake leather as it doesn't have any stupid plastic lines (to get better signals through the back) that basicly destroys the look of the phone.
I'm not a fan of Touch wiz, but we have the option of switching to a different launcher and I prefer Nova...

Didn't think I was going to be happy with ANY phone after losing my first true love, the Note 7. All joking aside, this is one of the better phones currently available today! Once you disable bloat and that God forbidden "Lookout" app that is the WORST app that a company could pre-install on any phone...
I'm impressed with Android 7.0 and the LG V20 hardware. I'm coming from a Note 4, and so far, I like it. I've been riding stock. No Nova Launcher, yet.
I love it too. I'm on day two coming from a GS7 Edge that I just gave to my wife. AT&T had a great deal on a LG 10.1 G-Pad to go along with this phone so my wife got the pad and the edge. We're both extremely happy.
I should also mention that I'm a loyal Note user from the original days. The GS7 Edge was my first foray back into a regular phone.

After using this phone I went back to my Note 7. I'll take my chances. Don't get me wrong, the LGv20 is not a bad phone, it just doesn't do anything exceptionally well. The screen is meh, the fingerprint scanner is annoying as all you have to do is touch it and it unlocks, i'd rather have the lgv10 fingerprint implementation. And the quad dac is less obvious than the lgv10. In other words the Dac on the v10 was better as in loudness. I don;t know if its nougat or the v20 but when I use the built in gmail app and I delete an email I get the option to undelete but it doesnt actually undelete. And one you go SAMOLED all screens look like ass in comparison.
Best phone on the market as of November 2016.
I just bought mine yesterday. I've been using Galaxy S5s for a year and a half waiting for someone to come out with a new phone with swappable batteries and MicroSD. The S5 is much loved by me. I'm going to miss the wallet cover which positively shut off the screen on the S5 and the V20 is a little larger than I like, but I do like the fingerprint scanner which works a lot better than the last I used, which was a Note 4.

Dam! Nice!
I love my V20, I am so happy with it, the performance, battery life, build quality, appearance, all of it! <3 This device!
I got it this past Monday 11/14, and it has been an absolute joy.
It has also made work related tasks much easier and my signal throughout the Denver metro area has been fantastic, much better than my S6 or my iPhone 6S Plus.
Full bars in data centers where the other devices had one or two.
I traded in my phone and sent my company issued phone back after two days owning the V20.
It is that good.
I previously had an LG G4 for about a year before switching to a Huawei Mate 8 for about 3 months until I received my V20 H990DS this Friday, 18 November. So far I'm really happy. The phone has excellent build quality for a phone that has a removable battery. It's thin and light albeit slightly tall.
I love the QHD screen, it may not be AMOLED but it is an excellent LCD panel with vibrant colors and it really looks great. I do have slight light bleed from the second screen but it doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I'll accept that to have the extra screen and I really hope LG keeps this feature in future versions of the V series. Though I do agree that LG should move to AMOLED for the next version in the V series lineup.
I've enabled the app drawer and have found the LG skin to be a pleasant experience with its customization options and themes. Certainly a step up from the G4. The phone is really fast and the audio is absolutely amazing.
I love having true dual sim with a memory card slot. Signal quality on wifi and LTE is excellent.
As for the camera's, I haven't spent much time testing them out yet but so far the image quality looks great and the wide angle lens is awesome despite the lower resolution.
So, I'm still experiencing the phone and testing out the various features but overall I really think LG did a great job with the V20 and I'm very happy with it so far.
What else would I have liked? Wireless charging, AMOLED displays, higher resolution wide angle rear camera and front facing camera. Unlocked bootloader.
Thanks LG. Happy customer here! (so far)
Had the phone now for about 2 weeks. Coming from a Samsung ATIV SE Windows phone with Win10 Mobile.
So far I like the build quality of the phone. Feels solid, glad it is not super thin like some of the new phones. Hate that, do designers think people are a bunch of wimps that can't hold anything over a 5mm thick?
The screen is good. I am not one that really cares what type of screen I have, whether its OLED or LCD. As long as I can read it, I am good with it.
Guess my biggest disappointment is with the OS. I have been away from Android on a phone, though I have three Android tablets, plus an Ipad for work and a 8" Windows tablet for tinkering.
I am NOT IMPRESSED with Android 7.0. The camera app on the V20 is good, but the processing software makes for some rather crummy pictures, either in auto or manual mode. Too much noise if you barely zoom in. Not real impressed right now after spending a couple days trying to get good with the camera.
As far as Android in general, there is too much fragmentation, almost too many apps trying to do the same function, while all of them doing it rather poorly. I don't need 5 different file managers, I just need one that does what I want it to do. Same with web browsers. How many do you really need?
Guess I am just used to using my phone as a phone first, work tool second. I don't have all the gee whiz apps like Instagram, Snapchat, and all that garbage. I use my phone for specific functions and I want apps that do it right the first time.
Hopefully by the time my contract is up on this phone, Verizon will be off CDMA and fully switched to their version of GSM. Then maybe some phone makers will start making Windows phones for their network again. Going to be a long 2 years for me. May just sell this V20, and go back to my ATIV SE for the duration. Not impressed with Android right now.

I think you got some bloat from your carrier, not LG.

Actually I have disabled everything from VZW except their Messaging app.
Guess you didn't follow what I was saying. Too much fragmentation in Android, period. Minimal quality controls. Instead of one or two really good apps to do a specific function, you have 15 or 20 that are at best mediocre apps.
I blame the majority of that on having Java as the main app language for Android. Any 12 year old can write code for Java, doesn't mean it is clean, concise, efficient code. Same with apps. Just because it was easily written, doesn't mean it is a good app.
Are there bad examples of other type of code? Of course, but Java seems to be the most prevalent from what I have seen.
Also the few apps that I have on Android now that I had on my Windows phone, mainly the Office and MS related ones, are not that great actually. I don't expect MS to make them as good for Android, but even then, at least make them useable.
