I just got an iPhone 4 last night and I was pretty excited about it. I upgraded my account and got the 32 gb version for 300. I still have my nexus and I'm thinking of doing an in-depth review between the 2 once I use the iPhone for a little. The hardware is beautiful and feels amazing in your hand and high quality. I got a sgp full body protection in crystal clear and by being an idiot, I messed it up. So far in the last day, I've had a good experience with it, antenna problem goes down to 1-2 bars if I really squeeze hard but never alters Internet speeds or drops calls. After I got a side decal, it's hard to get it to 1 bar and sometimes 2. So do u guys think I made a good decision in getting it and would you like to see me do a review between the nexus and the iPhone. I've had the nexus for 4 months.
Tell me more about your screen protectors, riveting...

Nope.
And no, your antenna issues on your iPhone aren't as breathtaking for nexus one forum as you may think =)
Otherwise, grats!
Personally would never get an apple product.
Meh, the fact that you are even remotely excited about the Iphone is enough to turn most of us fanbois off.
But yeah, no one's stopping you from doing a comparison review.
could you tell us 'why' you got one?
what appeals to you about it?
I'm curious why so many people switch phones so fast? Already tired of the Nexus that quick? Or maybe people just have the extra cash for all the latest phones lol.
I have had a my share of iPhones. After owning a nexus one or any other similar phone I would never go back. IPhones are so restrictive on everything it sucks. Your better off selling it on Craigslist for double what you got it for and spend that money on something useful.

Gotta drive that multi-trillion dollar debt =)
i ordered an iPhone 4 just so i could sell it on eBay. made a real quick $700 after selling it a week ago for $900..... N1 FTW!
Honestly I wouldn't mind having the new iPhone. But I think I would wait and get the phone once all the issues have been addressed.
But I don't think iPhones can match android right now.
What I love about the iPhone is that the os is really smooth and fast. Obviously I hate how its restrictive.
But having the new iPhone with the nexus one would be pretty sweet. At least for me anyways.

don't bother with the iPhone 4. just buy the 3G s. there is almost no difference in performance between the 2 and the 3G s can actually make a phone call.
Moved to OT.
Its a TREND thing every one knows about the signal problem and does that stop them NO, look at me Ive got an icrap. Now if that was the latest great windows phone it would get slaughtered but because its the icrap its OK lets get it and don't bother it cannot make calls i just have one
BUT a review would be nice on why you decided to get one knowing the signal problem or do you use the Gafa Tape ??
How about a review on the best type of tape to use?
I've never really liked any of the iPhones. This is the first one I ever even thought about getting. The hardware is superb, nexus feels cheaper. Camera is great, video recording was much better than the nexus but camera quality was only slightly better. The screen is beautiful and just as good if not better than nexus. Better in sunlight too. ITunes is still annoying and the iPhone doesn't sort the artists by album artist. Both have great call quality but the iPhone has a louder earpiece. That's what I got so far after one and half days of use. Os is annoyingly restricted, have to wait till jailbreak gets released. Touch screen works much better, more responsive and no multi touch issues. Games are better too. So far i am enjoying the new iPhone
Ok so this is the deal with me and iPhones, I had 5 different 3GS and sold them all for a very good profit, i now have the Evo and wouldnt think of getting another iPhone unless is to make some quick $$$$. The freedom Android gives us its unblieveable ...so why go back to an iphone? Lol just look at all the crap you gotta go thru just to add some music or videos. Android keeps it simple, not just with that example but with everything else. Dont get me wrong i love the hardware on the iPhone 4, but is it worth going through all the crap Apple makes you go thru? Na, just to change a battery its a mission nd they charge for everything. So again to sum it up I basically say sell the iPhone, and stay with the beautiful Nexus.
JBlaze -- Evo 4G
So, what's it like being different like all the other different people?
Just kidding... Have fun with your new gadget.

Shame to hear that
my condolences, poor Nexus1
I prefer to non see your nexus vs iphoney comparison
iPhone 4 haven't landed here yet, but I have seen some imported from UK and US. The first phones to hit the "norwegian Craigslist" had a pricetag of 2300 dollars LOL!!!!!
So, I'm really thinking about buying the Pebble Steel. Is it really worth the $250 though? Also, would you guys say this is the best smartwatch available on the market right now? Any feedback is appreciated!
Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
i can't say it's the best because I've used none others and i can't say u should buy one because i don't know what you're after.
the pebble steel is, imo, a watch-lover's smartwatch. it has the design of a quality watch (besides the cheap bands). i have no interest in having a computer on my wrist, but having a remote screen to view my phone? yes please, and that's exactly what pebble makes. the steel is priced like a typical quality dumb watch. $200-300 is a good price for a well made watch with accurate time keeping and solid build quality. there does not exist another smartwatch that looks like a regular watch, that I can wear with a pair of cargo shorts, a suit, and a tuxedo. hell I don't have a dumb watch I'd wear with all attire. I basically wanted a better watch, and the steel, along with watch apps and the 3rd party pebblebits firmware has given me exactly what I want.
it's not perfect, but app and firmware updates are steady and bugs are being fixed. I don't think I could be any happier with it unless it took standard size bands.

Yes it's worth it but better wait a little bit for the new moto 360. They say that the 360 it will cost the same as the Pebble.
Tapatalked with my "refrigerator look" HTC one M8
If know already know what the Pebble is capable of, and want to pay extra for the finishing (I didn't like the first version. It looked more like a gadget toy rather than a watch), then go for the steal.
The Sony one is also pretty cool, but the steal is the best looking (so far)
Sent by smoke signals, then translated to Morse, and digitized by Monkeys.
Given how easily my original Pebble's screen gets marked up, the Gorilla Glass on the Steel sounds like a good idea.
That said, I'd also suggest waiting for the Motorola 360. What you can do with the Pebble is (unfortunately) so limited.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
Thanks for all the feedback guys! So I went ahead and bought the Pebble Steel! I figure if I wait for the 360 then I might end up spending the money that I have set aside for a watch on something else. Haha. If I decide I want the 360 later I can just sell the Pebble and pay the difference. I'm an impatient guy. Haha.

looks great.
there is a lot of good info at the official pebble forums regarding bands and quality and such. there are a handful of kickstarters making accessories and even watch band adapters allowing for standard sized bands to be used. if I wear out the standard metal band I will probably buy an adapter and find a standard band to replace it. Joe Pesci knows I have enough unused watches to 'steel' a band from.

I would have to say its totally worth it. I wear it all the time.

It is definitely worth it.
My dad and I own a jewelry company so I buy all my watches wholesale. I had 42 at last count and I'm starting to think I should see a counselor. I go to the closet to decide what I want to wear and I can make the choice of anything from a cheap Fossil to a Citizen Eco-Drive to a Rolex Deep Sea. I pick my Pebble Steel for regular wear 99% of the time.
That's not to say that the Steel has the same "quality" as the Rolex by any means but for every day wear and use the Steel is actually quite a bit better. It's right there with every watch in it's price segment and matches up quite well even with watches in the $600-700 range.
The only glaring thing I don't like is the band but it's no worse than anything else typical for its price point.

Well it's a preety bad buy for the money you are throwing into and its not even close to the flagship phones out there. For the same price samsung note is a better option by a looooooooooong shot.
and funny part is few phones are having a lick of lollipop before you even get a nexus 6 in hand. there will be even more phones on lollipop before u get it in your pocket late November. so why shall someone buy a nexus 6?

i am not opposed to touchwiz. but i am not looking to do another samsung product. i usually just run the google launcher on my s3 anyway. i thought this phone with those specs would come out and destroy the competition performance wise.
i am holding out for more reviews. but as of now, what i see is depressing.

I've never seen a carriage where the horse didn't belong in front. Based on the reviews of those who handle every device, I'm not sure the average consumer could add anything constructive to the collective information that's already out there. Almost all of the reviews that are out now are pretty down on the phone on several fronts (battery life, overall performance, camera, screen light output and the screen in general). All of this has definitely made me question my decision to get it. I am also in the "no more Samsung for me" camp so I will probably skip upgrading at all this year and hope that may/june brings something more interesting, or even this time next year. Being on Sprint doesn't help since they don't get half of the good phones that come out. As a Note 3 owner/user I don't use most of the phablet features and hate TW/Knox. Although I tempered my expectations about the Nexus 6, I am still disappointed with what the reviews are saying.

So I have only seen three reviews, they do not state anything that you are saying. Battery life is Average according to all reviews. Performance is amazing, except some studders but that is likely fixed with todays OTA. Camera has been nothing but positive, screen has been very positive for natural color. Can you link the review you are talking about?

We both know the phone won't get 24hours of battery life. The few reviews I watched said they managed to get at least 4-5 hours of screen on time. That's fine for me. Can't really see anyone having a problem with that. Define overall performance? I have seen nothing but reviewers praise the device for outstanding performance and great fluidity. Isn't scree light output and the screen subjective anyway? What you may find to be a bad screen, I may not.
Even if this device isn't that great, there really aren't that many other options right now. The Note 4 would be great, except it runs TW which is horrible. What's next for flagship phones? The iPhone 6 plus? Yeah, I think not lol.
On the contrary, I am hoping that Samsung strips its pathetic software for the Galaxy S6 and rewrites it. I want it on par with with a stock android experience, or at least fluid like such.
It should be noted that Eric Limer of Gizmodo did get well over 24 hours of battery. He said he woke up on day 2 with 20%, and with 10 minutes on the charger was able to make it to 6 pm on day 2.
I'll be canceling my order as I decided on the Xperia Z3 instead. I'm pretty disappointed in the reviews of the N6, I was hoping on better battery life.

Your comparing apples to oranges on that one. The Note 4 may have "beast" like specs, yes, however, it DOES NOT perform like it does. Its extremely laggy and hiccups. Many people have reported delays when launching apps. Not something a "beast" like phone should do, huh? Not too mention the locked down bootloader. Yeah, I won't be picking up a Samsung device for a long time.

If I return the Nexus 6, I will just buy a Note 4 developers version. I ordered from Motorola so I can't cancel until I receive the phone.
Wtf is this thread....lmao!!
Most of the reviews I've seen it has comparable specs as the Note 4. I'm just wondering if it truly compares or best the Note 4.
Ordered my Nexus 6 the other day (32gb Midnight Blue). Will be here on Tuesday.
Did I make right choice of phone?
I recently turned in my HTC M8 for the Xperia Z3V. I know, "WORST" mistake I made this year lol.
I'm a huge fan of stock android and can't wait to experience Lollipop. I loved my Nexus 4 and Nexus 5, other than the poor cameras and loud speakers.
This is gonna be my first Motorola made phone, but you can't complain about what they've done in the smartphone market of late.
After watching a few reviews of the Nexus 6, I can't help but notice that the back looks kinda like this blue leather looking material (hopefully I'm wrong). I was hoping for some kind of strong plastic.
The size of the phone definitely isn't too big for me. Im a huge media user and can't wait to watch some 1080p movies on it.
My doubt in the phone only comes when watching comparison videos with the Note 4. A lot of comparison are giving the upper hand to the Note 4.
My wife has the Note 4 and it does feel nice, but the aging design (hardware and software) of the galaxy line is a downside for me. Seriously, who still wants to use that hardware home button?
I've also noticed some complaints of the screen burn-ins and the nexus logo falling apart.
Anyone wanna try to help ease my thoughts with their experience so far?
The backing on the nexus is a hard plastic fyi.

You've made my day on that part. So did it just look better in person then? (The back)
I too was uncertain but took the plunge also on ordering one. It'll be here this week. I traded in my note 4. But thankfully I don't have to turn in my note 4 till 2 weeks after receiving the nexus. So it gives me a chance to choose. But I well tell you I've not been happy with the note 4. The every once in a while lag/hiccups and constant losing lte in getting discouraged. I've rooted it and that seems to help but not as good as a $700+ phone should be.
I've also seen and been scared of the reviews about logos falling off, screen burn in, and that blue. I just don't know if I'll like that blue metal ring around it. But I figured if I don't like the blue I can just put it in a case. Or worse yet just send it back and keep the note 4. But I highly doubt I'll keep the note with the problems it has. Granite for the most part there minor but still aggravating.
I loved my nexus 5 except battery, so if the 6 has a battery that last a day and with those speakers in sure to love it. Just wish tmobile carried the white version since the metal sides are silver,

You've made a good choice. But at the end of the day the majority will love it while some will be extra critical and point out things that most won't be able to notice. Overall the N6 is a beautiful beast imo
I had the same problem when ordering my new phone. But one of the main reasons against Samsung was the lack of high quality materials. My last two phones were Samsung and they were pure plastic. Sure there are phones feeling even better but I was like WOW when taking the Nexus 6 out of its box. The other reason was the pure (but rooted) android. I hate all the Samsung TouchWiz and HTC Sense and stuff like that.
Beside these things you are posting in the Nexus 6 board here so I guess the major part of the users will say you did the right choice!
I can't comment on the note 4.
I came from the 2013 motoX.
I could easily say it was the best phone I've ever used despite the camera issues.
Motorola in my opinion makes one of the best quality devices out there.
They're warranty is great and if any of these issues involving burn in or letters coming up effect you I'm sure they would gladly replace your device as I know they have in the past with all Motorola devices that have issues.
But I for one got the white model because the blue model doesn't look near as classy. The blue metal ring around it looks terrible and looks more of a bluish purple color.
However I bought my nexus 6 for the development community, screen size, and front facing speakers.
The camera has blown me away so far.
Even low light shots turn out incredibly well and exceed my expectations of a camera phone.
I for one don't think you will be disappointed. But you make the call!
And enjoy!!

Why do I keep reading everywhere that the S6 looks like an iPhone? How?
The face doesn't look like an iphone, the back doesn't look like an iphone. The only part I understand is the bottom edge, but even then, there are plastic seams on the S6.
And if Samsung really did copy the iPhone 6, think realistically about the timeline. How long would it take Samsung to design a brand new glass and aluminum phone from scratch? At least a year of design and engineering and revamp of their entire manufacturing process. I highly doubt they could copy the iPhone 6 in October and have it ready for production in February. Unless Samsung was copying "leaks" which I highly doubt.
People who make these claims have no idea the amount of money and time that go into manufacturing and engineering.
Honestly who cares? Threads like this are only ever good for one thing... Starting bull **** arguments. So for the sake of everyone's sanity can we please just not?

Agreed, really, what is the use of having people argue about whether a company has produced a similar looking phone?
The iPhone's now look like regular android phones so where's the copy??

Well if you remove the Samsung logo on the front, and the two sensors. Move the camera on the back from the center to the top left. You will have a iPhone lookalike.. Not identical twins but similar.
But now a days it's Apple copying Android software and I guess hardware if you wanna throw HTC in the mix. But both of those companies have a argument that can be used for another day.

Lol of only. Sadly there are many that would rather start ****. Those who can carry a discussion far out number those who can't buy it's always the few who bring down the many....

Ok. So a conversation on XDA actually sounds like a pleasant change of pace so I say we give it a go.
To start. I can see how so people may feel that the s6, not necessarily the edge, resembles an iPhone. It to a certain degree looks like a hybrid between all the latest iPhones, sans the 6/6+. The aluminum that has been darkened or lightened to match the color of device. The back glads is reminiscent of the iPhone 4. And the bottom of the phone clearly has taken some pointers from the apple design team.
But all.of that being said. I prefer this phone and how it feels because while all those iPhones and the new level of build they brought to the market at the time was great. Samsung has taking some of the styling and made a phone that's far more premium and luxurious than any other phone out there. Well the Lamborghini phone actually might technically be more luxurious but 8k for a phone no thanks.
