Introduction
This is ROM is built from Omni sources, but I cherry-picked (added manually) HALO from paranoid sources. This is my first ROM that I've every built so don't expect it to work perfectly.
Please read the FAQ and Known Issues sections before complaining about anything. DO NOT ask for ETAs (I will smite you if you do)

Known Issues
Active Display causes SystemUI FC. DO NOT activate it or you will have to wipe data
Halo disappears from the screen completely when hidden (There is an option to disable that, but not in this build. Working on it)
Halo is a bit buggy when rotating the screen. Just disable and enable it from the notification drawer.
Multiwindow is still quite buggy, but that's not my fault. Blame team Omni for not finishing it

Congrats on your great work @paxy97
Just want to check how's the battery life on your home-version. I'm using walter79's and very happy with stability and battery.
You mention also in the bugs section that Active Display crashes?? I'm having no issues at the moment, and I really like this feature.
Any clue why it doesn't work on yours? If this is the case, not sure if I should change or maybe wait a bit.
Also, how is it with the Bluetooth issue? Still ongoing?
Anyway, I thank you for the hard work and the effort you are putting into this... keep it up.

Hm strange, when I flashed this ROM and enabled active display systemUI started crashing and I could do anything except boot to recovery and wipe data :/. Also while I was fixing some issues in the code I noticed that a lot of them came from active display conflicts.
I don't know about bluetooth, but I assume it's still bugged since my build is pretty much omni from source. I haven't changed anything regarding bluetooth.
I will ... until july 22nd, because I'm going on vacation for 3 weeks
For old cm themes. there are 9 commits: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/2790/ #mGerrit
https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/q/status:abandoned,n,z
I'm sorry to say that I probably will not be able to make a CM version, because CM code is too different from Paranoid and I get too many errors that can only be solved by rewriting most of the statusbar and notificationService code (which I have neither the time, not the knowlege for). Sorry again, going back to dirty unicorn porting
Don't sweat over it, I assure you your efforts are highly appreciated.
Thank you for your work and please, keep it up!

I am , my pc has been running 48h straight downloading and building. Now I downloading dirty unicorn sources again, because I messed up the last ones. Hopefully I'll at least get that to build. Should not be too difficult though. It's based on pure omni, so I'll just add our device tree from omni's github and use walter personal github for the kernel, which is amazing btw . So hopefully in about 15h you'll have a build if it runs without any errors
New build coming coming soon (today or tomorrow, depends if it builds and uploads before I go to sleep).
Features:
- walter's personal kernel sources (the ones he uses for homemade builds)
- Omni's multiwindow (it's EXTREMELY unstable. It's still under review on gerrit)
- Omni changes so far
* Theme manager is still giving me a lot of errors so sadly no build with it yet

Yeah, it's much better than active display. Not buggy and doesn't consume as much battery.
Damn it. I just got up, looked at my PC and realised that it failed to build because I'm out of HDD space -.-. I had 30gb free didn't expect it to use that much. Anyway uploading the build when I come home from school

YOU'RE ALIVE. Lol, we miss you. And thanks for the great builds, CyanogenMod and Kali....
Been using CM9 RC1 for a couple hours now and everything is running pretty good.
The only thing i'm noticing is lag and screen tearing on stock launcher, and that's with or without forcing gpu rendering or surface dithering.
Other then that, everything seems stable enough for a daily driver.
Thank You CM Team!
EDIT: Seems to be happening with other launchers and with window and transition animations...

So I use the4 latest and no problems here but is there anything you can elaborate on that might have caused conflicts?
I've always wondered why I have a greenish look on CM9.
changing kernels solves the problem. Looks like color hue is off.
Any ideas ? why is this kernel related ?
would anyone care to share any major differences between AOKP and CM9? Would flash myself but don't have the time at the moment
Screen tearing on white background is the reason I stop flashing CM9 two month ago... I guess it was never fixed...

I've been on AOKP for awhile and never had the issue. I just flashed the RC1 this morning with 04292012 gapps and the matr1x kernel (v22) and mine is not greenish. (Sorry I didn't even boot before flashing kernel).
I've only been running it today with this setup and it is really fast and snappy.

I just switched from AOKP today and the main difference is bootanimation, launcher and AOKP has a little more customization options. :silly:
Honestly though, this build is running really nice and fast and I sure missed CM's "go to sleep" button in the notification pull down. So who knows what I'll do...

Wow this looks really good.
Do AOSP ROMs have better battery life than Stock-based ROMs (e.g. Existenz v5)
Great to see some new top class Dev's supporting XZ:thumbup:

awesome rom! quick question though is this rom using the 4.3 blobs and is the driver that fires wake locks fixed
No wake locks yet.
Very impressed so far.
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
This rom is pretty smooth, fast, and stable. So far no notable bugs which is great. However, Android OS is still first on my battery usage history. I would love to see some more settings like changing the navigation bar size, listview animations, centered clock, and custom carrier label. But that kind of stuff doesn't take away too much from the experience as a whole and this rom is probably my DD for now. Keep up the great work!
Edit: There is audio stutter and distortion when playing music but this seems to be a common issue throughout most 4.4 roms.
@herna
This should help you fixing the audio stutter bug.

Hey Guys,
This port is based of CyanogenMod 10 By Sir blearreaz0n. I have used his rom for fixing bugs and learning purposes. I have also compiled different fixes from different sources and also included my own fixes. This First build is a port so the Next build , i will build from source.
Pre-requisites:
*ClockworkMod Recovery https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9B_MYcrSzXON1AxR3hDZmVacUE/edit
Installation (first time/new users):
*Flash and install the CWM recovery via ODIN
*Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
*Do a Nandroid backup!
*Do a wipe data/factory reset
*Do a format /system partition
*Install the ROM from sdcard
*Reboot
Working:
*2D acceleration
*Lights
*Sensors
*Telephony - calling, messaging, mobiledata
*Touchscreen (multitouch)
*Bootanimation
*Themes
Not working:
*Audio
*Bluetooth
*Bluetooth tethering
*Camera
*USB Mass Storage
*USB tethering
*Wi-Fi Hotspot
*Camcorder
*OMX encoders/decoders
*EGL
*GPS
*Wi-Fi (partially)
Issues:
*Incorrect colors is caused by the (buggy EGL since the other BCM21654 devices have an official JellyBean update, implementing EGL from Ice Cream Sandwich is not working). I am working on it but for the time , use the theme attached in the attachments Thanks to HAKA Theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951801
*The RIL is working thanks to Team Hurricane but since the audio is not working you can only use the messaging option http://team-hurricane.blogspot.com.br/2014/05/informacoes-cyanvision-cyanogenmod-101.html
*For performance i advice you to turn off all the animation and to enable 16 bit transparency
*Themes work but there are Incorrect colors (See first Issue)

What is NamelessROM?
NamelessROM Gerrit Review
What is NamelessROM ?
Simple - NamelessROM is opportunity.
An opportunity to have a voice to the development team of the after-market firmware that you run on your device.
The main goal of NamelessROM is to provide quality development for android devices, phones and tablets alike.
NamelessROM developers are available nearly 24/7 and respond to bug reports and feature requests almost instantly.
This availability will allow you, the end-user, to have direct input into exactly what features and functions are included on the firmware that YOU run.
NamelessROM maintains features and functions of several well-known open-source, AOSP-based ROMs, as well as many features of our own.
See the screenshots in the 3rd post, and visit our website for more detailed information.
NamelessROM = endless possibilities. Unless you have an iPhone, then you're out of luck.

Working/Not working list same as CM12? :silly::silly:
Or i assume if there isnt anything listed things then everything works?
after clean install nfc give fc and cant do anything
friend, good job! but at the moment it is impossible to use because of FCs ...
Just a small problem I had (due to not reading properly) The GApps you have linked is to the 4.4.x files, Might make it easier to link to the 5.0 ones?

Introduction:
A friend of mine (Fusionalex) and me were very unsatisfied with the current state of custom ROM development for this - at least concerning the hardware - great device. The maintainer of the official LineageOS has done nothing for months. Fixes for basic issues and features (see our features below) haven't been implemented although the source has been available for years now. For us, switching to one of the numerous bloated Lineage forks (which at least fixed some issues, but brought other unnecessary problems) was no reasonable option. Apart from all the bloat, many of them don't get regular updates anymore, even though major security issues like KRACK or Blueborne have already been fixed in the official Lineage source. There are some great builds out there like CM 13.0 by MrColdbird or 14.1 by OrdenKrieger (from which we took most of the code for the major fixes, a big thank you goes out to you).
So which ROM did we choose? An up-to-date official LineageOS, but extremely bugged? Or a fixed, but incredibly bloated and mostly unstable custom ROM without the latest security patches? We chose to create our own Lineage experience, as close to the official as possible, but with most of the big issues fixed and up to date.
We will continue to update this ROM until LineageOS 15 by OrdenKrieger is stable enough to use as daily drivers.

Features:
U-Touch
Headset buttons and headset hook working, especially with Xiaomi headsets
Ambient Display
GLONASS
OTA updates
some customizations to update the user interface, because apparently Google refuses to push its new design in the AOSP source

Installation instructions:
Files you need:
TWRP 3.0.0 by eagleeyetom
TWRP 3.2.1.-0 by ShubhamB
ZUI 2.5.358ST firmware
latest version of our ROM (always on top of the linked list)
(optional) OpenGApps ARM 7.1 (recommended version is Aroma)
You can switch from official LineageOS to our ROM by flashing this small zip, which removes the signature check and then our ROM. Do not flash GApps again, this is only possible on a freshly installed ROM! If you want to go back to official, you need to flash this file.
Steps to install:
unlock bootloader
flash TWRP 3.0.0 using fastboot (v3.0.0 is currently the only version with Aroma support, which we need later on)
if you get this error message, you can ignore it: E: unknown command [log] - this happens because the old TWRP version you need to use doesn't support certain logging commands used in updater scripts, this does not affect the integrity of your installation
flash ZUI 2.5.358ST (this flashes the latest available official firmware)
wipe system, cache, data and Dalvik cache
flash our ROM
(optional) flash OpenGApps, you can use Aroma installer (the interface is bugged, but usable and the phone doesn't crash thanks to the TWRP we are using)
flash updated TWRP 3.2.1-0 (has more features and is more up-to-date, Aroma isn't supported, but you don't need that anymore now)

Little advice :
Try to make radio images inline with device tree so that users don't need to flash a big chunk os before flashing this zip just only for latest radio images ...

Please bring Camera2 API
Hello @Da Bozz Sir, I highly appreciate your great work and I only have two requests.... Please please implement the Camera2 API in your future build...
I know that one has to make changes to the device tree but I don't know how to do it...
(...in the QCamera2 folder by adding HAL3, etc...)????
But please, please implement it, the chipset SD801 does supports it?
And please add Ambient Display Feature...
Please reply sir...

AFAIK the answer is no... Our chipset is too old to implement it

Hello,
we are still investigating the possibilities of using the Camera2 API on this phone, but please note that it's highly unlikely that we get things to work flawlessly.
Ambient Display shouldn't be a big problem.
We just have to investigate if it causes any problems.
Great work from you guys, looking forward to future builds!

Sir, I would still have the request to test Camera2 API on this phone
You people are our last hope, because editing the Device Tree is beyond my reach, as it requires great dedication, knowledge and ambition, that I don't possess...

Thanks! I'm glad you like our work!
The ambient display build from 24th has been taken down for now, because the implementation is incomplete, it's missing some settings which we will add later today.
Camera2 API is still work in progress sorry!
About the other 2 things: please describe more precisely what you want and we will consider it
Thanks for your valuable reply sir,
I was requesting for a popular gesture nowadays called the 3 Finger Swipe Screenshot
In this one, a user has to swipe from the top to the bottom dragging 3 fingers on the screen, this works as a gesture and takes a screenshot, it is very popular in Xiaomi devices (MIUI) and on OnePlus devices....
And now, many custom ROMs like Resurrection Remix, PureNexus, etc. have this feature
Attached picture 1 & 2 show a demo...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Second of all is the app icon that will appear on the toast message...
CM12.1 & CM13 stable versions have this feature which works flawlessly, attached picture 3 & 4 demonstrate how...
But in the nougat ROMs, users are provided with a switch to either enable it or to disable it...
But this "switch" has proved to be buggy in every nougat ROM that I have used (picture 5)
To implement this, one has to add this code to Toast.java file in the framework:
(android_frameworks_base/core/java/android/widget/Toast.java)
Code:
ImageView appIcon = (ImageView) mView.findViewById(android.R.id.icon);
if (appIcon != null) {
ActivityManager am =
(ActivityManager) context.getSystemService(Context.ACTIVITY_SERVICE);
if (!am.isPackageInForeground(packageName)) {
PackageManager pm = context.getPackageManager();
Drawable icon = null;
try {
icon = pm.getApplicationIcon(packageName);
} catch (PackageManager.NameNotFoundException e) {
// nothing to do
}
appIcon.setImageDrawable(icon);
}
}
I ported out this code from RR OS source code, but please consider investigating as I'm not sure if this will work on lineage os...
