On my Moto G 2014 LTE the Facebook app takes 3-5 mins to install, and at least the same amount to update. My question is, if I buy the 2015 Moto G, will it still take 3-5 mins to install? All other apps installs under 30 sec. Any other persons here have the Facebook app installed, and if, how long time took it to install/update?
I have the same phone and a Moto E and they both take a long time just as you describe, its Facebook being so large in size IMO is the proplem, its grown in to a 200mb size with the offline browsing. I'd not spend out money on another phone, just my opinion

It's annoying, because with my Nexus 5 it didn't take that long. I think that the issue for it being so slow while it installs is because it only have 1GB of RAM

It is not related.
The RAM may increase the overall speed especially in multitask, but it won't make any installation faster.
I do have this problem, but I didn't have it on my old devices with 512mb of ram and 614mb.

Alright. Because I couldn't do anything while it installed Facebook because it quited all my programs that was in the background, including my music

The description of this device on XDA says 128 megabytes of RAM
But right now I have 186 megabytes of RAM on the MiniCM10
