Brothers, Just updated to the M11 Snapshot version of Cyanogenmod on my OnePlus One. I was able to get the Boot Animation taken from Cyanogenmod 11S to work in M11 by following @MrMarkEdward previous instruction But as it boots up, the Boot Animation seems to be running very slow and looks as tho it's framing. What could be wrong?

What did the bootanimation look like on your stock cm11s. Maybe what you are referring to as slow and framing is what it actually is meant to look at. As it spins its not a continuous spin. It actually moves stops moves stops moves stops until complete boot.

Oh not at all. On my Snapshot M9, the Boot Animation worked fine and smooth. Just like how it's meant to work. But it's slow and stuttering on the Snapshot M11 ...
Exact thing happening to me on the nightlies. Not sure when it started, but at some point the bootanimation became choppy. Might have something to do with the resolution, as a smaller bootanimation seems to be smoother, but I haven't been able to find the oneplus animation in a smaller resolution that works (the flashable ones in the apps thread don't flash for me).

Requirements:
- DK28 ROM with kernel that can run custom boot animations (Bonsai4All, ViperROM, etc)
- Ability to boot into ClockWorkMod Recovery (any version) and flash a .zip file
What is it?
- As requested by lazydazed, a working CIA boot animation (I ported fromTP2); I made a few modifications to my liking
- Won't overwrite your existing boot sound
- The preview plays pretty quick, but the actual speed on the device is appropriate
PREVIEW
Instructions:
- Download .zip to SD Card
- Flash in CWM (all versions of CWM supported)
Download updated 01/19/11 - now supports all version of CWM recovery
looks great! nice job

how about a tutorial thread?
I flashed it via Clockwork and it didn't show during bootup. I'm pretty sure I did everything right. I'll try reflashing. ACS DK28 Stock rom
I don't think acs' stok kernel supports custom boot animations out of the box. Maybe try one of the Bonsai roms or maybe swap thekernels and see if that does the trick

Correct, this (or any custom boot animation) will not run on a stock kernel.
Yea, I kind of figured that was the problem. Total sadface on that. Thanks for the info.

I had wondered what kind of shutdown animation would fit. I was fooling around with the logo in After Effects seeing if there was a way I could make it disappear in a way similar to turning off an old tube tv set. Couldn't figure it out and moved on to other things.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking something simple like "Backing up Level 7 Encrypted Files" in green with a flashing command prompt. Then some cryptic text can fill off the command prompt. Maybe then some text could pop up saying something to the effect of, "Logging Off"
Just simple and secretive

is this miui 6 or miui 7 animations? just watched a video of miui 6 and the animations look like kitkat animations besides the unlock animation (which i really like)
edit: just flashed and it was "successful" but I dont see any changes. no fancy unlock animatino, same old slide up slide down animation.
Mm... There is no MIUI 7 my friend. There r just 2 MIUI 6 versions. One based on Kitkat and the latest one on Lollipop..

trebuchet is the only one I saw in the .zip file, but I just tried it on G-now launcher (its the launcher used in the video below) and it seems to be working there too.
trebuchet would slide in from the Right edge upon app opening, then "zoom out" on returning to the home screen like shown in my video here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I358dOCmvgE
Nova launcher, when set to system animations, would just use the stock lollipop slide up from the bottom edge animation upon app opening, and then it would "zoom out" on returning to the home screen
still missing the unlocking animation...which i think is the best one of them all. OP, is there any way you can do this?
It was working fine with Google now up until today. But Google just released a new Google app update and after installing it now system uses default animation when opening apps from home but closing app uses the miui. Is it possible that we get a fix ?

@imam.krismanto , Great job man , the animation is very nice and smooth. Is it possible to make it compatible with latest google search app. I am using google now launcher and after latest update when I click on icons on home screen it uses the default animation however I get MiUI when closing apps.
@imam.krismanto trying this with latest Sultanxda rom for oneplus one ( 16 August ) causes system ui crash in some apps when switching to landscape ( gmail, Google keyboard and ... ) is there anyway you can fix it ? Thanks
works fine in Oneplus X with 5.1.1
Just tried on my Oneplus X (H2OS rom), it flashed successfully but only close app animation is different (but I really like it). I'm going to try another rom to see if all animation is working
Edit: just tried on CM12.1, app opening animation is working too now, but it is the same of MIUI, it slide from left to right, not zoom in and fade in like in MIUI. Is there anyway to get zoom in + fadein for app opening animation ? Anw it's prett fun, thanks OP
Possibility of work on sultan's cm13.

Hi guys, has anyone tried this on CM 13.1 ?
Greetings,
Here is a boot animation I made and I thought some of you
might like it. Although I didn't make the main animation
I put quite a bit of time into it. I also made two logo.bin
files, one has moto at the bottom the other is motoless.
The logo.bin zips are flashable (thank you metpolds), the
boot animation is not. You know the drill: back up, rename,
system/media, 644, reboot. I think its worth a test drive.
Bye.
*As far as I know the stock rom uses mp4 format for the boot animation. These will work if you are using stock rom.
**The boot logos should only be flashed on the moto x pure/style only!!! Stock or custom rom will be OK.
I have posted many of these now. Make sure to look at the entire thread.
*Found a couple things I didn't like. The transition between boot logo and boot animation is now seamless. It looks so much better. (Sorry about that)
There isn't anything wrong with the first files. You don't have to replace them if you don't want to. The new ones are better though.
Bye
I will be doing regular updates so keep coming back.
Did a new one.
Both the bootlogo and bootanimation are flashable.
The actual bootanimation will run longer than what
the gif is showing.
Here is another.
bootlogo x3 flashable
bootanimation

Here's another.

I wasn't happy with the last one.
Made some changes to everything except logo.bin.

(added screen shots)
Here's the dark version of the one above.
I hope you like it.
btw, the boot animation doesn't repeatedly zoom in and out as the .gif is showing.
Enjoy,
Bye.
Hello,
I wasn't sure about this one when I started it but...
I it came out quite nice actually. Its a bit different.
There are two flashable boot logos to choose from.
If there is any interest in a dark version I'll make one.
Bye.
One more.
Boot logo is flashable.
Plays well on device. Looks good.
I used boot logo1. Boot animation starts at that image.
Seamless transfer from logo to animation.
Bye
FYI, When I played the gif animation in one browser the blue half circle just flashed back and forth. The half circle actually spins very quickly. The other browser I use played it fine.
I AM REALLY LIKING THIS ONE. Does anyone else agree or am I alone on this? This ones worth a look. Flash boot logo1 its really cool.

Hello Everyone,
I am not sure if I am posting at the right section,
but I really need Your help on this,
When My phone boots up, it loads Samsung Default Theme & settings(icons & Clock), then my Theme...?
Why...? is there a way to hide this behavior... so when the phone boots it loads my theme & settings directly...?
At least change the initial theme as in make it load black wallpaper then load my theme...
That way to would be less annoying...
I have Attached a GIF of my issue, Hoping someone been into such thing & has the solution...
Thank you all in advance...

You are right, that is strange behaviour... not seen it before to be honest.
Try reboot into TWRP and clear cache/dalvik ( will take 5 mins to boot up again first )
Try updating your Note 8 to latest firmware and then re-rooting
EDIT:
Have you tweaked your boot start up time? maybe your custom boot animation ends too quickly... before your settings have fully loaded. < this would make more sense to me.
Try a different Boot animation

UPDATE 11-01-2020: This apps seems not to work on Pixel Experience and stock ROM, be careful when using it different roms than HavocOS
I flashed my phone with HavocOS a couple of days ago and loved everything about it except for one thing, the green fingerprint icon really bothered me so I wanted to change or hide it, after looking for a while I found the wonderful app created by @Zacharee1 OPFPControl, it allows you to change the icon with a custom png image, modify the opacity and the icon tint and also enable/disable the animation!

Works on custom ROMs fine.
After a reboot it takes a couple mins for a toast to appear saying it was granted root permission and then it works. For the first couple mins after a reboot I have the same old green ugly thing.
Just wait a couple mins after applying the mod and see if it works then.
I haven't tried on stock myself I just noticed it didn't apply for a small time after rebooting
