I had a problem that the In-Call volume was way to low on the Nexus 6 and after a firm search on different site's I found out that a possible solution was no a near distance future.
Hack.... even Google itself has given it a small-priority - Issue 80817: Nexus 6 - Low in-call speaker volume
So I began to experiment with volume apps in the Google Play store and found a solution which helped me to raise the In-Call volume on calls significantly! - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.firestorm.vc
Just install and make sure that you enable the In-Call Volume in the settings and set it on maximum value. Save settings and go....... Descend volume during a call.

Difficult, to really hear if it goes up, thought it did, seemed to increase and slightly distort, but could be placebo as I so wanted it to.
Ultimately I would rather adjust some system files rather than have another application, especially an ugly one. Sorry and thanks.

For me the volume was definitely increasing without distortion, sorry to hear that it wasn't working for you.
Yes I know, I also search the solution into editing some system files. But no luck so far.
I still hope that franciscofranco can find a solution for this and make it a kernel option to adjust.
On this moment I also experiment with Tasker and the In-Call options to achieve more loudness, we shall see. But for now it's better then it was, at least workable (for me).

In which case I'll give it another try and leave it installed for a few days, turned to maximum, so that I can take a few calls and see if I struggle to hear the caller as I normally do.
Unfortunately Franco said there was nothing he could do when asked.

Did you save the settings and did reboot? I don't remember that I did - but you can try. And I searched Franco's topic where he's stating that, but all I could find was that he wasn't suffering from a low In-Call volume problem.
I didn't find a post where he told that it wasn't possible. Can you give a link?

basically automatic is with your calender.
I believe if you create a schedule and set it to busy / out of office or something of that sort, it will automatically switch the phone to vibrate/ silent. and once th e session is over, it will switch it back to the original status
Hmmm... ok. Thanks. I was actually hoping that it would automatically silence alarms at night or something.
Since this isn't what it does, can anyone tell me if there is some software that I can set the alarms off at night with? I hate going through menuhell to change the settings every night.
Well, you can always make an appointment with bed
Menu hell?
Automatic doesn't appear to work for me which is too bad since SPB Phone had this feature that I thought was fantastic.
Don't know of a program to do what you want but two buttons to the left is the silence button. Menu hell? Just a thought...

I have personally observed this feature causing my phone to engage in homosexual activities with other HTC devices.
this feature does seem useful in theory but in practical instances, it is a bit risky to use in my opinion.
I'm going to set my work schedule in my calender just for this. Thanks for the clarification. My Kaiser is bi methinks.
Sorry to bump a old thread..figure better than starting a new one.
This is kind of related to the HTC home..
I noticed my "tapping sound" has been disabled ever since installing the HTC home cab. I've tried to re-enable the tap sound via the settings..it shows enabled but still no sound? Is this normal...or did I do something wrong?
And is the alarm function always this slow? It seems to take forever to repeat...actually sounds kind of weak? I've used different phones but this HTC seems to be pretty retarded when it comes to the basic functions.
Thanks.

I love the functionality that this program provides. However, there is a little bug. When you are in a call and use your thumb wheel to increase the volume of the call. It no longer works. It brings up the enlarged task bar. That should not occur when you are in a call. It should only adjust the call volume. Anyone else having this problem?

Potentially this is a great tool. However just a second after the large title bar appears it conflicts with the connectivity bubble popping up showing which network I´m connected to. So both are triggered when I press the title bar.
Is there any way to prevent that connectivity bubble from popping up so that the large title bar stays visible?
Thanks in advance for your input

That's the same behaviour I described, there seems to be no fix for it yet.
Well lets get to the point r8 away
I used to have the great Asus P525 before i switched to AT&T Fuze a month ago. Now, one of the things that i really miss since i changed my phone is the tiny little LED that used to flash when the phone/WiFi/Bluetooth was on. Which actually helped me big time to find my phone in the dark!
So basically im just wondering if any of u guys can kindly write a simple prog that trigers the .EXE file for the circular light around the navigation control (that gets executed once the phone is charging/fully charged) and make it run at specific intervals (i.e. every 3 or 5 seconds) when, for instance, the phone is on (a.k.a the flight mode is off).
Or at the very least, do the same thing with the camera flash on the back (the circular light around the navigation control is more preferable though ).
So..yea!
Im Looking forward to hear back from you guys

No you cant get that to flash or light up.....but its definately feasible to get the circular LED around the navigation control to flash.
Anybody?!......
any help would be greatly appreciated....
Bluetooth n GPS flashing light
What would be nice is if the light would flash like it is charging while you are using, receiving/sending a bluetooth transfer as well as flashing when your GPS is on so you know you left it on....Would also be cool if the speed of the flashing would increase depending on the percentage of your transfer or speed of your signal for bluetooth or GPS or if you could get the leds to chase in a circle...not sure if that is possible or if having it for both GPS and bluetooth would cause problems but would be cool . (A nice app to bundle all these ideas in this group togeather would really be sweet maybe even get it to flash for other notifications.)
For crosslinking:

From what I understand, we don't have software control of that light yet. even if you turn it off for email notifications and such it will still flash

First of all, id like to thank Gokhanmoral and Simone for the support... Special mention to TotallydubbedHD and Studiominal for the great contribution and to all who tested and helped...
The idea was first toasted by Gokhanmoral via PM, that it has something to do with idle status and not with hot-plug issue. Then Simone201 also posted about this on "official sound quality thread" which leads me to test dif configurations and combos... Then i came up with this little Fix:
1. You have to be rooted of course...
2. Flash Siyah Kernel (Sorry for this, since i only tested it with Siyah 1.3.3b and 1.3.7b)
3. Download & Install exTweak by Darek.Xan from the Playstore (Free one will do)
4. Grant Superuser
5. Navigate through the CPU Tab and set the CPU idle mode to; IDLE ONLY
6. Reboot
It was first tested with Siyah kernel 1.3.3b and was confirmed by Studiominal thru his "sinewave" that there were no crackling found in the graph. It has also been confirmed that it also work with 1.3.7b... I cant comment on other kernel since the test was thoroughly done with Siyah...
Hope this help... ENJOY!!!

Evidence provided
It seems like something in IDLE + LPA, AFTR + LPA, AFTR only causes the audio codec to suffer from power shortage that leads to turning the codec on and off really fast.
And.. to clarify, I only changed the cpu idle mode to IDLE ONLY, and disabled all the audio options that come pre-enabled both to see whether the idle mode is the culprit and wait for the new Voodoo Sound.
Thanks for the graph Pal...
Thanks guys for sticking with this and finding the problem.
Now that the culprit has become more obvious(likely the DAC being not able to perform properly with that low current set by stock setting), we'll see more developers here digging down the kernel with power profiles
Changed the setting to see what the impact on battery life is, i am not sure what lpe and aftr does, so not sure what effect we will see. Probably someone with more insight could clear this up...

Iv never come across this problem but I use player pro and have never tried using the stock player, also, I use it with the lock screen player on which keeps a partial wake lock, perhaps this is what stops me having the problem.
I know the phone is awake because my nfc works when screen is off and player is playing.

Does this only effect Siyah Kernel?
Cause if its across the board on all current kernel sources what would be the solution to any any other kernel besides Siyah and using exTweak? A Script?
Also, I get choppy audio on almost all games and the same clicks on other audio related apps, could this be the same issue? This behavior almost sounds like latency problems of a low default audio pre-buffer...

According to Andreilux
LPA causes the CPU to be clock-gated, meaning the clock to the CPU is cut-off. I imagine that when power resumes, or actually is cut, it either causes a drop or spike in the power supply which interferes with the DAC and amplifier. This is inherently a hardware problem; they could have prevented it if they had put adequate filters on the PMIC, or whatever is in-between them which causes the interference. LPA is idiotically power-efficient and turning it off can cause worse idle battery life, so turning it off it in my opinion not a very viable option. The only options to fix it are already available to everybody already through changing of the idle states. If there's something to be done on the DAC-level itself, I don't know. CPU noise is a pain in the ass and wide-spread (Think about on-board sound on computers) and sadly there's not much to do about it if it's badly designed.
