Navigation Volume Level - Android Auto General

Hey Everyone,
I recently started having this weird volume problem while using navigation on AA. The navigation volume always used to match the other voice alert volumes, but now the navigation is a lot louder. Now when I have navigation at a good volume, I can't hear my texts being read.
Not sure if it's something with an AA update, or a Maps update. Is anyone else having this issue, or notice any volume changes like that?

Yes... it seems a recent update to Android Auto moved the navigation volume from the 'alerts' channel to the main Android Auto channel. Please leave feedback for Google within the Android Auto app if you want to see the old behavior restored.
Google… why do you do this? It was fine before you monkeyed with it. Put it back the way it was.
If you want your texts louder, try upping the 'alerts' volume.

On my 4100-nex my navigation volume was loud but when changing the volume there is an alerts button that I used to lower the volume. I have the newest android auto version installed

I have the same set up, lowered the alert volume down to 2 to get good navigation volume, but then if I get a message its too low for that. I used to keep it on 8 for everything, even when I was bumping music at 20 the alerts were good at 8.
I did notice that when music wasn't playing the navigation was louder than normal before this problem started, but now its always "that" loud, even with the music.
It really randomly started one day when I had navigation with no music and it seems to have just stayed at the louder volume. I guess for now I just need to remember to keep the alert volume down when I'm using navigation

Any way to lock the ringtone volume to one level?

I recently migrated from the iPhone 4S to the N3.
So far, I'm liking most of the features.
However, the one thing that does bother me is that the ringtone volume is directly tied to the media level.
Is there anyway to isolate the ringtone volume so that when I increase/decrease the system volume via the rocker, the ringtone volume remains constant? Starting in iOS 6, this was allowed on the iphone. Please don't tell me that this is something ONLY iPhone can do.
Thanks in advance.

When you press the volume up or down key, tap the settings key right next to the pop-up and it will show the other volume levels.

Not sure your software version, but my volume button controls only the ringer unless a game or some other form of media is running, then it controls that media but not the ringer. The only time I notice it affecting the ringer is if in the case of a game and I try to adjust before the game is fully loaded. If you watch you see a phone icon or a speaker on the slider. If you try to adjust for media too soon you will notice the slider is still showing the phone instead of the speaker for media.

Low notification volume when playing music (after 14.3.A.0.757)

after updating my firmware to 14.3.A.0.757 I started experiencing this problem:
When I'm playing music any type of alert sound is extremely low, almost inaudible. This also includes google maps navigation voice. I usually pair my phone with my car via bluetooth while driving. If I'm not playing music then the turn by turn voice guidance sounds fine at full volume.
Is anyone else experience this problem? or know how to fix this?
to do a simple test just play music and turn on voice guidance to a random place, see if the volume dips low when you start the navigation
Thanks!.

Weird sound issues

Hey guys,
I am having weird sound issues with my new P10.
When setting ringer volume to certain level, it seems to only work with the ringer when somebody calls.
It does not have an influence on WhatsApp, Gmail, text messages etc. These do sound a LOT louder.
So, I can control call ringer just fine, but basically cannot control the volume for app notifications. I also tried to lower the volume for alarm, media etc, but these apps seem to be connected with the ringer volume slider (which is of course what one would expect) but they are much louder that the call ringer.
This is my first Huawei phone so I was hoping to find some setting for this, but no luck. This is really annoying. If I do not want Gmail notifications etc to be loud, I need to lower the ringer volume to minimum, but then I have issues to hear when someone calls
Any idea what is going on?

If i find one i will let you know.
P10 Plus
The P10 Plus has a same issue.
Yep, it looks like notifications sounds are not only too loud but also still present when sound is "muted"
as a temporary workaround I reduced the volume of the notifications by editing the notification files on my pc. but I am really hoping that Huawei is going to fix this soon.
sound settings do not affect videocalling with facebook messenger on my P10.

More Volume steps on samsung Stock Rom and Costum Kernel.

Hi,
I am looking for a way that allows me to hear the volume while listening to music through the volume buttons of fine rules. then I'm still looking for a way to normalize the volume in the streaming apps. At the end of the volume bar, it is sometimes that it is still quieter at the penultimate step, and at the last step it gets much louder. I would like to normalize this so that it goes from very soft to very loud, as it is also used to the sun.

Have you tried 'Sound Assistant', allows you to set different sound levels for individual apps. It's one of the components of 'Goodlock', but was also available as a 'standalone' app in the past.
From memory, it also allows you to change the number of volume steps, from soft to highest volume.
Now I just need something else that I can handle the system sound, and get the pure sound of tidal and spotify.

No sound control popup or actual volume change when using volume buttons

I'm running COS 6.1 A.10 on my unrooted/unlocked European X2 Pro.
When I press the physical volume buttons, I very often don't see the sound control popup. Sometimes it appears and I can change the volume, but in most cases it doesn't appear at all. It doesn't make a difference which app I'm using - YouTube, Prime Video. I don't have an active BT device linked or a headset plugged in either. Quiet Time is turned off, all volumes in Sound & Vibration are turned to medium, the default function for volume buttons is set to Media Volume although nothing changes if it's set to Media Volume.
I used to have MacroDroid to change sound settings based on time/location/events but that's uninstalled. I still have Do Not Disturb which mutes my phone during calendar events. Regardless of any such apps, I should still be able to use the volume buttons to adjust the volume but there are no popups most of the time.
I just restarted my phone and the volume popup is back. I know this happened before but after a while it's gone again without knowing why. Does anyone have an idea what could be the reason and how I can get my volume popup back permanently? Thanks for your help.
