Its been a few years since I have posted on here and if this has already been covered my apologies for not finding the thread.
I am trying to help a friend of mine who forgot her pattern unlock for her HTC Desire 626.
Is there any way to unlock the pattern with avoiding a hard reset using an iMac? I find plenty of options for a pc but nothing for Mac.

If Mac can run adb, yes.

Hi all,
New here,have used this site to s-off root my old desire worked great. My new phone Incredible S has recently been updated and now im on 2.0.2 think it is boot loader. Been trying to use the Htc Dev tool to unlock bootloader and after going through the steps have been sent the code to unlock .However everytime i enter it i get the same message
error: cannot load 'Unlock_code.bin
The unlock code is in the same folder as the other 3 items they asked for , fastboot,adb,adbwinapi.dll
Ive looked everywhere and sadly the few posts ive seen that have fixed this havent said how just ended thread grrrr.
Ive made other folders and directed it to them but get same error. Even removed the (1) from the code they sent as saw a thread suggesting this.
Please can anyone help?

Make sure the spelling is correct and you are typing the name correctly. The filename is case sensitive.

Yep everything correct and ive re checked. This is seriously annoying ,never had probs like this rooting the Desire lol.

I've already tried to perform factory reset but it keeps asking for the unlock screen password.
Even inserted the gmail credentials after inserted to many times the wrong password but unlocking was insuccessful...
Any help would be great!

clear the sdcard. (Format it via recovery or pc) and than factory reset

Here is my problem. I ran an RUU for my HTC One Sprint and It was successful. It was m7wls_3_04_651_2_RUU. After the phone starts it asks me about about a password that I didn't set up. I tried every method in these forums but without any improvements. However, when I install a rom that isn't SENSE base, it never asks me about any thing.
Tips:
The phone is locked to sprint.
The phone is rooted.
The phone is boot-loader unlocked.
Please help.....
What type of password lock? And what have you tried that didn't work? Also, isn't there a different forum for Sprint devices?
I don't know what type of lock is that. I tried to delete the gesture key although I didn't set up a gesture before and I tried deleting the password from the recovery mode as well. I am sorry I thought this forum was for all problems.

I searched on the internet how to unlock it but they said there is no solution to unlock it because i don't have a pattern lock. Now i want to recover my phone so that the lock and every old pictures on it will be removed. Does anyone know how to..?

Ok so this happened last night. My phone is rooted with magisk and I forgot my pin to unlock my screen!!! How can i bypass the lock screen?? can I just do a hard reset on it? im not worried about loosing data its all backed up. My concern would be bricking the phone by doing a factory reset. Any help would be appreciated

Look in 9 pro forum. I think an adb command can remove the pin code via bootloader.
But this is frowned upon bc you may have stolen a phone etc.

I think that stopped working a good while ago.
If you forgot your PIN only option is a full phone wipe I'm afraid.
