IMEI 0 after restored from hard brick - LG Optimus L90

Hi!
So today I discovered that my phone shows my IMEI as 0. 2 months ago I hard bricked my phone because of replacing aboot or smth. XDA tutorial said that I needed to skip some IMEI part? Phone is sending out calls and everything is OK but I'm just worried about this IMEI part. Also I would like to know why my phone got hard bricked after second try unlocking bootloader (stuff where you need to replace aboot file.) Trying that again today. Is it safe to install custom rom without having to worry about my IMEI code 0.

Xperia Z Unlocking bootloader issues

hey, this is my first post on here.
A while ago I got my Xperia Z which is unlocked to all networks and I checked in the service menu and it said I could unlock the bootloader so I did so and installed my own roms, then it became faulty so I got it repaired but before so I flashed the stock rom on there just incase it was refused to be repaired because of the custom rom.
When I got it back I discovered in the service menu my bootloader can no longer but unlocked and I cannot root it or put CWM on it or anything as I keep getting errors... any advise?
I tried using the original bootloader unlock code I got but the phone rejects it saying something like 'FAILED remote does not have permission' or something along those lines in the CMD while using the fastboot code.

I've got my phone rooted now following a guide but it hasn't helped
Make sure your mobo has not changed, and ask Sony for a new unlock code
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
If in service menu, and in bootloader unlock = NO, then it mean your motherboard has been changed, or the person that do the repair just change another phone for you which is unable to unlock..bootloader unlock = NO status mean no matter how you do it, the phone cannot longer be unlock as the phone hardware has been lock for specific carrier(usually)...
I tried anyway putting my IMEI into the sony website and got a new unlock code but that will still not unlock the bootloader, and my issue never got fixed as I was told that the motherboard would need to be replaced and I couldn't afford it, and I'm concerned as to why my IMEI has changed and I can no longer unlock my bootloader and I've tried downloading a new stock rom and flashing it and my phone is unlocked to all networks still as that was the way I got it and it is still this way.

Just continuing into that thread, is that possible to mod the carrier? I used to send my SXZ to the sav, get it back, unlocked the BL tried a rom and (was-i think- tired) I relocked it -_-, and from now on can't unlock the BL anymore,is there a solution or I just need to reflash the TA, put everything to stock and send it back to sav?

Relocking bootloader error - huawei p8 lite

Hello, my wifi on the phone is not working so I need to take my phone to the service center. But I unlocked bootloader. So I was trying to relock it back. I have a code and I found lot of guides... but I got error in fastboot cmd -> "root type is a risk". I dont know which ROM should I flash into the phone to get it working. I dont have root yet, becouse of reflashing a lot of times and I flashed orignial recovery back. So I dont have TWRP there. What I have to do to relock my bootloader??
Error in adb cmd after: - >>> fastboot oem relock *number* - >> ERROR: Root type is a risk.

I had problem with my WiFi adapter. My phone was also rooted and of course I had unlocked the bootloader. I took it over to the service center and although they told me that my guarantee was void, I left it, so they could inform me about the cost of repairing it. Finally they told me that it was hardware problem and they would replace my motherboard. Although it was rooted, I didn't pay anything.
Besides that, a friend of mine had a Huawei phone and got a problem. Because of they didn't have spare parts, they replaced it with another newer model.
I believe Huawei isn't strict over these matters.
Just head over to the service. It might take a month to get it back.

If it's hardware problem you got repaired phone in warranty also if bootloader is unlocked

Even though its buyed from T-Mobile, so its not going straight to Huawei services? I had there this phone already one time, with this problem and I got a new one, this is for second time, but I didnt have unlocked bootloader first time :/ I also think that, they will not even look at bootloader, but still I dont want to loose guaranty.
So often fails the Wifi-chip? My phone is 8 month old and I wait for this issue every day No There should be phones on the market, where the wifi never dies. Or? Otherwise huawei has build really **** phone. Maybe it is my last one. It's not nice to know, that the day will come without wifi. That's really not funny to wait 4 weeks. Not not funny. Good luck!

Help ! Imei and Serial number corrupted G620S-L01

Hello everyone
I don't know if this is the right place to post it but I have a problem with my Huawei G620S-L01
I got it from a friend with Stock Rom 4.4.4. Everything was fine for 2 months until it starts bootlooping. I never tried to root this or something like that... After googling a bit, I found the solution to the bootloop in flashing Stock Rom via Sdcard/dload method. Everything was fine again... Then I noticed that the Lineage 14 (7.1.2) was out and I wanted to get it. But in order to flash it, I had to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom recovery. It wasn't a problem for me since I've already done it with other phones. The problem was to get the bootloader code from Huawei because I noticed that my IMEI changed and my Serial Number changed and shrinked ..... so I used those who are on the battery to obtain a bootloader code from Huawei (because the corrupted ones doesn't exist in the IMEI database even if they seems to be real). I thought that will finally work.... But no, the fastboot command to unlock the bootloader says : FAILED (remote: invalid key, unlock fail)...
So this is where I'm stucked. What should I do ? Did I flash the wrong firmware at the first time even if it seems to work like a charm? How can I get my IMEI and S/N back ? Does flashing another stock firmware will help me? please help me :crying:
I'm still unrooted
Thanks in advance
Please help me ! Anyone... :crying:
It seems that there is no solution...

Guide SIM UNLOCK T-MOBILE version all type of IMEI supported

I was trying to sim unlock bad IMEI (financed) all services refused to unlock I managed to sim unlock very easy
1 you need to convert to international version follow this thread By AnonymousTipster ( great thanks ) (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/t-mobile-6t-to-international-t3888307 )
2 unlock bootloader
3 type this commands
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot reboot
thats all
you can also backup modemst1 and modemst2 files before this steps
you won't loose imei or have some problem phone works without any problem just tested
Congrats bro
Alright bro, I thought this was an early April fool's joke at first but it's apparently not. Congrats n sorry for the early doubts... I had just read your posts about trying a sim unlock thru some company and it being successful but the tmo app wasn't working so I figured that's where your sim got unlocked it had just carried over to the international version but apparently not. It's crazy that this is how easy it is to bootloader unlock & unlock your sim. Definitely backup your modemst with readback mode in msm
I can help you do what you need as I've done it before. pm me.

1 phone is not stolen its financed ordered from ebay as unlocked I was scammed was not able to return from oversies
2 you can backup your modems and then try deleting with this commands they are not deleting I tryed 2 times
3 after blowfish confirmed that phone was unlocked opened unlock app > permanent unlock was receiving same error delleted app data same error factory reset - same error reflashed firmware same error after that this commands worked
all unlock services included blowfish unlock cellunlocker few one from ebay . tyed many of them they refunded money (blowfish returned credits to account) main reason wan device was not active 40 days this services can unlock bad imei phones but if device was not active 40 days they can't more than month I was trying to unlock but only this commands worked if you think you will loose modems to backup try this method
Download & Open up Terminal Emulator on your phone
Once it's open you'll be greeted with a command line prompt, in which you can enter text commands, the first thing you need to do is enable root access by entering this line (press the enter key on your on-screen keyboard after each command to issue it):
Code:
su
If this is the first time you've used Terminal Emulator a Superuser or SuperSU popup will appear, make sure you grant root access.
Now enter these two commands:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/sdf2 of=/sdcard/modemst1.bin bs=2048
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/sdf3 of=/sdcard/modemst2.bin bs=2048

Bro ur funny we use magisk n we don't dd modems thru terminal to back anything up.... Tell me technically what sense would it make to delete your modem how would that unlock your sim? See if u really did unlock ur sim n bootloader for free by flashing to international and then deleting ur modems (lol) then you would have put twrp on and actually rooted upgraded to beta 7 or flashed an aosp (at least that's what I'd assume cause that's what we unlock the bootloader for) so post some screenshots of whatever ROM ur on or a video of the process with u proving ur not lying. Cause as far as I know absolutely no information regarding the devices unlocked sim state reside in the modem. Imei in Efs maybe or on the board in the phone but not on a piece of a stock rom that some of the best developers on here just overlooked but u magically figured it out.... Quit it dude go home

Some people I know discovered this work around in November if u make a modemst back up of both modems first, use msm readback to backup imei, then wipe modem, then sim unlocked, restore modem files and imei with msm readback mode. It's just very risky. So if u know how to use msm readback mode and smt mode then go for this, @nika_bego you are correct. For the haters, grow up man, u are incorrect, this man is correct. There are multiple ways to do things in android. I was part of the initial team that first achieved root with this phone with a locked bootloader via aging kernel. Which then led to wiping the modems..we had to keep it between ourselves or chaos would erupt on xda. Plus the mods get so upset if u talk about hacks, modded apps, imei anything and restoring stuff.
Thanks, good job man

I don't believe this guy either. However it is actually true that converting the TMO variant to the International using this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/how-to/t-mobile-6t-to-international-t3888307 will allow a simple
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
instead of having to go through OnePlus/TMO to get unlock.bin file.
Doing the conversion, then unlocking the bootloader, then rooting as normal. However I do not for one second believe that erasing the modem will unlock the SIM.
Edit: Looks like it might be possible to SIM unlock with this HOWEVER it requires MORE STEPS not only what is listed in the OP.
OP - Can you please update your post with a full, detailed list, of what to do?

Recover IMEI?

Well I have been modding phones for a while, and I've been able to avoid anything this catastrophic so far, but yesterday while using Qfil, I clicked on erase entire flash.
So far I have recovered everything except my IMEI so my phone is not connected to my network. My question is can anyone help recover or restore my IMEI to my ATT Locked LG V40 with unlocked BL and Unlocked Rom?

Not long enough obviously, one of the first things suggested before flashing anything is to backup the IMEI partition, EFS for Samsung, to avoid having an expensive paper weight like the one in front of you..
Might need to find someone with a box now.

Really I've never heard that before...I only backup what's tickable in TWRP .-. I think IMEI might be one of those options...
