So let me start with a litte question,.. I´ve the Europe Version with Vodafone Branding, can i just Download the VIE-L09 B160*as example and Debrand it ?
Phone has no SIM-Lock only branding and damn APPS
Here is my question. I have the P9 Plus, but I guess its the same on other Huawei phones.
I want to be able to set language independently from region, as my region is The Netherlands, but I want to use English System Language.
How can I get that done, as when I change language to English I cant set the region to Dutch/The Neherlands.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hoping someone has some ideas. I got my p9 plus today and all my apps installed fine except for Outlook. It's downloaded but won't launch, just gives a while s teen then crashes. I've installed it a few times and I've restated the device a few times but no luck. Anyone else come across this?

You have to be in Pro mode to enable RAW. Pull up the white tab above the shutter button then swipe right.

Same here, I can't believe Huawei would lock regions to specific languages, especially when some of the translations are really bad (Danish for instance).
Maybe we need to install more locale,or something like that..

Here's what I haven't been able to figure out. I got my device yesterday and all is great except that the IR blaster doesn't seem to be working. I even tried to teach it manually and it says it registered but when I point the phone at the AC to test nothing happens. Any thoughts?

Call quality has been excellent for me so far. Huawei have always been great in this department in my experience.

The camera of the Huawei is better. As for performance both phones will perform great, though the Oneplus 3 should have the edge on paper with the Snapdragon 820 and 6GB of ram. I don't think you'll notice it much in day to day usage though, unless you really love having lots and lots of apps open with multitasking. With both devices having a 1080p display, they have more than enough horsepower to drive them.

However, after playing around with different themes, I can't seem to find this background anywhere. Not even applying the default theme brings it back. Does anyone know where to find it?

You sound like working for Huawei and try do marketing. I know that Huawei Android SW development is total ****. How dare you say that CyanogenMod is ****? The OnePlus One is a superb phone and comes with CyanogenMod which is great on it. Unfortunately, Chinese seem not to like freedom in software. Same with Huawei; instead of leaving it to the people to decide what they want, they impose their crappy and laggy software which may be full of spyware from their intelligence services.
P.S.: I know that this was not productive discussion and it's not the way I like to discuss things, but I try holding a mirror in front of you.

EMUI 3.0 is not laggy AT ALL, it works flawlessly ..

Im not sure exactly how you would expect any of us to know if it will block future updates.
Nothing in life is guaranteed and we obviously cant predict if samsung finds a way to force the updates despite being blocked....its common sense really.
That said it blocked the first BS update on my exynos and its blocked the current BS update on my snapdragon so we are 2 for 2 lol

Samsung Pay
Hey guys I have a Samsung Pay question, I factory data reset my phone to get rid of the update, installed package disabler pro stopped the update successfully... however when I reinstalled Sammy Pay I cannot complete the setup with my fingerprint, iris, both, nor the pin... Only disabled the software updates and left all bloatware active... How can I get one of my favorite features back?

Next big dilemma: Been hearing they may block our IMEI#s since we are not giving up our note 7s. Can we hide or disable this act?

It remains to be seen where else it will happen though. I will be very surprised if they do that here or in the US honestly.

I contacted Huawei via webchat application, I live in UK. Huawei guy said that p10 lite will not get the Oreo update I bought mobile 2 weeks ago that's crap support. I hope he is wrong.

That's good I asked twice the guy in Huawei customer services and he was negative.
I don't know if he meant that UK mobiles will not get the update.

The reason you get different answers is none of them know anything. The only meaningful answer would be an official announcement.
The supposed beta in China is a good indication but it may not be released worldwide or it may not be released at all. Sometimes they test updates and cancel them.

Another answer today from Huawei in UK region, oreo was released for mate 9 series and soon p10 lite will get it, everyday another answer lol

That doesn't mean anything. They don't know anything about updates. It's not within their jurisdiction so to speak.
I'm not saying that it will get Oreo though. I'm saying it's still unknown.

That's true. Btw they say that Oreo beta for P10 lite,Mate 10 lite and honor 7x is available in China. And now in some European countries,but only for honor 7x.

I recently bought an P30pro (256gb/8gb version) in China! Works like a charm! Although, the soft inside is mainly set for Chinese users.
Is there any way to switch the firmware into a global version?

nope, im in the same boat with some tweaking you can get everything to english and disable or delete the chinese apps

I have the same questions too. :crying:
no custom launcher for Chinese version, its blocked to prevent Chinese carriers to change this. I have not been able after trying a lot of stuff to get the ok google to work. if someone knows how to do this i will appreciate it.

Unfortunately there is no news. As with most bootloader locked Huawei devices, you are limited in what you can do. Even before the launch of the p30 series, it was a known fact that launchers could not be changed on Chinese specific Huawei models. Weren't you aware of this? If you need google assistant and launcher change functionality my best advise to you would be to sell and purchase a non Chinese version of the p30 .hope this helps.

Yeap, that does work. When I first got mine, Playstore was available through Huawei APPstore, but after updating to Android 10 playstore was suddenly gone, so I did exactly that, only I just needed to reinstall the playstore. I wonder if through this process one could get the Mate 30 Pro to have full access to all the Google goodies?

Actually, my wife brought it for me from china. I managed to get rid of all the chinese bloatware through ADB, only thing I still can´t use is GPay. Every time I try to add a card it says it´s not possible to configure NFC payment. It seems Huawei blocks this last step of the configuration somehow. Anyone here managed to get GPay working in the AL00 version?
