Hello,
I just bought Xperia Z3 Compact with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But it looks like there is no 4k video recording option in camera.

Why?
Thanks,

its a different camera "app" keep scrolling to the right until you get to the "6 dots" menu and then choose 4k

I searched the net and i found some usefull tips about photo capturing and video recording with xperia z underwater. Unlikely with the new xperia zr, in xperia z we dont have a physical button for photo capturing and video recording. But i found out that threre is an app ( camera 360 ) where we can use the volume button to capture photos. But i haven't found something for video capturing. Does anybody knows any other way or app where we can assign volume button for video recording?

You don't need a dedicated button, just start recording before you go into the water???

Camera Zoom FX

I like the stock camera because it has both camera and video record buttons available for quick picture capture and quick video recording. It also does the 4k. I've searched and it seems Snap Camera has this option but no 4k recording unfortunately :/
Hi
I installed android pie last night and in the video settings I do not have any 4k settings or options to change the rear video camera quality,
Can anyone else with pie check and see if there are options for 60fps and UHD from the rear video camera.
FHD and 1:1 were available but no higher.
Thanks
John
I stared at the menu for a full minute before figuring it out. Tap on the resolution to access the 'better' modes:

Anyone figure out how to hide the camera app black bottom thing? I was able to hide it in Oreo but I can't anymore.
The Image Stabilization function in the video camera is now missing after the Android Pie update. Some say it's now AIS but for which resolution of the video camera does AIS come into play?
It's not missing, it's turner on by default, and you can't turn it off
Really missing. Not turned on by default. When turned on, smoother if moving, and a little bit blurred when moving, but not now.
I prefer use google photos to stabilize video since pie update

Is it available for all video resolutions?
The phone has no option to record at 60 fps. Am I missing something or this flagship cannot record at 60fps?

Open the Camera app.
Go to Video mode.
At the top of the screen, where it appears de screen-ratio icon (9:16 or an square icon), thereis a little horizontal bar just below that icon. Scroll it down.
There it will appear more options like selecting resolution 8k, 4k, FHD and also FPS.
60 fps does not work with 8K and I have to say that there is some bug recording at 60ps (4k or 1080p). It will not focus properly, but try it.
Oh thank you very much bro..I would have never found it if not for you. And yes you are right, the camera is not able to focus.
I find this issue even with photos. Like when I want to take a close up photo of a document or an object the camera won't fo us properly.
I hope Motorola knows about this bug that focus on camera is totally broken.
