The sources are more up to date in my build and is therefore probably more
stable.

[B]A[/B] My RR builds feature the kernel from [URL="https://github.com/anomalchik/android_kernel_xiaomi_msm8953"]animalchik[/URL] which is the only current
alternative with open source codes to my knowledge and will because of that
be the default kernel in future RR builds unless source codes are released
for another possibly better kernel. Many have requested Nosgoth V2+ which is
a continuation of animalchik's kernel made by Razziell. It's downloadable
from [URL="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0IUHdLYs_HnbnhVVXp1WEFsWDQ/view"]here[/URL]. It will not be in RR by default since it's still closed source.

[B]A[/B] In general, just excellent. Compared to MIUI it's maybe a bit behind since
MIUI limits background processes more than other roms.

recording on the front facing camera is pretty dark, especially in

[B]A[/B] Not sure if it qualifies as a bug in the rom, but I agree that speaker
volume is pretty low. To fix this, simply flash [URL="https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/soundmod-axon-7-dolby-atmos-t3412342"]Dolby Atmos[/URL] through TWRP
and simply activate "Volume Leveler". As an added benefit there's a lot
of settings to play around with.

[B]A[/B] Unless I have caused the bug I probably won't be fixing it. I am not a
skilled developer, just someone who wants to build and share roms for a
device that has way too few developers.

needed, but when flashing from another rom on Nougat you can often get away
with a dirty flash. Sometimes you need to reflash Gapps to get everything
to work though.

[B]A[/B] I won't. There is always a risk of bricking when flashing new firmware. I
always try to test a build before releasing it, but it's not always possible.

Mostly yes, but I have noticed a remarkable performance boost compared to latest LOS. Probably new commits since LOS was released or it's all in my head.
Battery is stellar. Maybe a bit worse than MIUI, but only because MIUI likes to limit background processes.
Nice to hear the new RR has new updated. Thanks for make our R4P alive. Battery performance become the common issues on the several device with Nougat. MIUI has a doze feature similar on Greenify, we can choose several apps to be force on doze mode. I am using Greenify, it can make more longer stand by, from 14 hours/day (50%) to be 22 hours/day (50%). Also make limit for several apps that use more active in background mode.
If you don't mind, I have two problems since using 0408 update. First, after 100% charging, the battery stats won't level down normally, until restart. That's why I never 100% charging, but limiting through 99%. Also, second, after connecting with usb cable for mtp, then unplug usb cable, the icon notification still persist on the status bar. It can be disappear after restart. Some user ever wrote this problem, but no solution. In short, not using mtp cable, but using ftp connection for transfering file.

Thank you! Battery really isn't that bad at all anymore, in RR 10/8 and earlier it was much worse. On the later LOS builds it got far better and I would say that battery is as good or better in my latest RR builds. Of course it's impossible to beat MIUI, but I'm really glad that we don't have the same limitations to save battery on RR.
I actually forgot the full charge bug, added it to the bug list. The MTP issue has not affected me personally, but sometimes the notification light is lit long after disconnecting the device from USB. Maybe you could test the latest build and get back to me with any bugs you might find?

There are some new commits, but nothing major. You can just dirty flash the rom, no need to reflash Gapps or wipe anything.

[B]A[/B] It depends. If you come from MIUI or any Android 6 rom a clean flash is
needed, but when flashing from another rom on Nougat you can often get away
with a dirty flash. Sometimes you need to reflash Gapps to get everything
to work though.

May be I will try this after there is an improvement in kernel. As you know there are some bugs with current kernel especially in battery management.
To stop battery charging at a certain percentage, it should work this root app https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/root-battery-charge-limit-t3557002

Some questions:
1) Is the encryption enabled by default? (cause when I flashed the 10/8 version, after trying to restore a backup, I've lost all my internal files, due to the encryption enabled by default)

3) Is there any way to "collapse after touch" a button in the notifications/settings area?

Had one random reboot a few hours after installation, but i haven't been able to replicate the problem - seems stable for daily use.
Also, not sure if this is because of a tweaked kernel or CM or Resurrection's enhancements, but RAM management has significantly improved for me. Much fewer app redraws!

Flash clean?
Only with him.
Dirty flash here (5.7.3-.4) and without any problems.
Clean flash for almost 2 weeks, haven't had any major issues so far. All apps work as expected.
Strangly enough, every time I reboot my phone the time/date is wrong. I had to switch from network-provided values to manual input. Not sure what is causing this.
Aside from that, everything has been stable.
Battery life is noticeably better before - but that could be due to the clean flash, or upgrading from lollipop to marshmallow, or the ROM/kernel, or a combination of all that.
Features are awesome. Implementation of dark mode is a godsend for me; i've hated Material Design for all the white backgrounds since Lollipop came out.

Great ROM. Only problems so far:
-Time is set to 20/09 on boot and takes a minute to set adjust correctly.
-occasionally pico tts errors and stops working
-same for the internet browser

Does anybody had any problems with NFC with either this or a previous build? I am on 5.7.3 and currently downloading 5.7.4, my NFC doesn't seem to work. I don't use it often so I'm not sure when it got bad, so it could also be a hardware issue since my phone takes quite the falls occasionally (though I AM capable of turning it on/off).

Does this work with all Galaxy Tab 3? I have a Galaxy Tab 3 7" (SM-T120 or P3210 from what I've been able to find - WiFi only anyway), for which info is hard to find anything so far. So when I just stumbled on this thread, I jumped right on it!
You describe that I have to install TWRP, but there doesn't seem to be a version for my tablet specifically. I am more or less experienced with this stuff, as I rooted and installed custom ROMs on my Galaxy Tab 2 7" and 2 HTC phones. Been having enough trouble with devices not working because of messing with them and then messing with them some more until I got things right, so right now, I'm kinda careful before starting messing with this one... LOL
Please advise?
Tablet crashes to bootloader when flashlight option is pressed in power menu. Also, settings crashes if you press a couple things. Antenna works, I don't know if data or Bluetooth do yet. Furthermore, three finger screenshot does not work. Loving this rom, very smooth!

When I reboot my tab, a screen appears trying to load data and carrier info. I can only stop it by minimizing the screen.
My UI, settings and browser apps stops working randomly. The screen size in a couple of my apps are oversized or much larger than the screen. I haven't found a way to reduce the size as of yet.
Other than the minor bugs or glitches, this Rom is very nice, smooth, fast and easy on the battery.

yes apps are getting stopped working randomly and that will get fixed when cm gets stable

Tried that and ensured that that network type is set to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL), but I still cannot get a mobile data connection. It recognizes that I'm on the sprint network, but the 3G or LTE icons don't show up and I can't actually reach the internet without being on WiFi.
Am I missing something? I feel like I'm the only one with this problem lol

This build is much better! Not as many app crashes as before, but still occurs. Camera app opens, but freezes up. I downloaded another camera app and it freezes also.
We have a choice of 3 launchers. RR stock launcher and pixel are excellent.

Some users are facing bugs (like no imei on official updated nightlies), so there were no updates since 16-02-2017. Anyone not facing these bugs or can live with them can update from here till official nightlies starts. It is supposed to have bugs, so if you face any please revert to official nightly of 16th Feb and keep using that. I am not fixing so please don't report bugs here and specially on official rom's thread if you are using this.

Yes just sync and build. About the size, i can't tell why there is a difference, i didn't even noticed that.
He is focused on fixing bugs as some users were experiencing and official nightly may come soon.

Please if possible build XOSP . Pathetic update policy by developers towards XOSP.
Size difference may be due to changes done by abhishek is not in-sync with RR github. Like volte icon and other fixes.

this is not a problem of the rom, as it's stock resurrection remix. It might be some app you have installed.

Users are having issues on my CR, so same problems might be there for some users.

We already have 3 RR roms. Also how is it different from the one by kenzolo on XDA itself. Minor changes??
The battery life is much more longer than the other two RR roms. Goodwork mate ?

Clean install with latest firmware is recommended.
I am using it from yesterday, no bugs for me. But cannot say that it is bugless as there may be many featured which i haven't tried yet.

Im test it
My feeling is that the battery consumption in this ROM is as high as the Efficiency mode in the kenzolo ROM.And by using the power save mode in kenzolo, Battery consumption can be reduced further
And battery performance isn't added to the battery settings
Apart from these, it has a great performance in all areas:good:
Of course this is just my own opinion

i dont think it would be that easy. the RR builds rely on different sources and dev trees, each dev has his own little tweaks and tricks up his sleeve. besides, theyre all exchanging ideas and helping each other already, so its best of both worlds: helping each other out with issues but keeping their own dev style. so its less bugs and more choice for us users
and dont forget: the more devs, the merrier! and the more custom roms
