It's easy to build multiple ROMs, if you have a working device tree. Some people like some ROMs better than other. surdu_petru said he is able to build a ROM pretty quickly, so why not? Also, maybe the source of the ROM is different in some part and has more or improved code, so maybe some features will work better with the same device tree.
I have sim issue in this ROM, but I install fix sim in rros thread and work perfect now, I'm using Y6 II with C636B190 emui

HWC is working fine on OpenKirin's ROM, but it's not the same on RROS.. Which ROM should I compare with this one?
This rom is more fast than rr and aospa
Tested and 2 sim work
Battry acceptable
No lag
I have just issue with sleep of death
Thanks

I installed a substratum theme and after a reboot, the system get totally destroyed. I even can't test all the ROM.
I'll reinstall the ROM to try it again.
Whatever, thank you so much.
(EDIT: I just needed update substratum)
I can do an update from aospa? Or i can do a wipe data?

Thanks Percy for your work and dedication.
...simple question... - is it the 'same' like VanirAOSP by @shankky?
percy_g2 is listed as a contributor - so what's new/different to that other release?
The specs are also the same:
ROM OS Version: 5.1.x Lollipop
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.4.x
ROM Firmware Required: TWRP Recovery
Based On: AOSP
so what's in/different? A new bootanimation? *this is a joke*
...and: I would like to thank you for your efforts and activities here

AOSP means Pure and Original ROM without any customization, like nexus device have. All Custom ROms are uses AOSP Source as a Base to Building the ROM i.e CyanogenMod.
Specs u r talking about is not ROM Specific its information about kernel version and rom version (Lollipop, kitkat.) so u will find same specs in all ROMs
YEEEEEEEEES! THANK YOU! I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!!! Sorry for this spam,

Yep. Tried. This rom also has the auto focus issue with the main camera, like anything else than stock based roms. Read somewhere that it is a kernel issue that the issuer does not recognize :/

Honestly there is no true point due to the code has stopped being produced because focus is shifted on Oreo on the ROM development side. I kinda started building when everyone pushed their final updates. Like DU is on its final release, we are on the final release of AOSPA and same goes for many other ROMs.
@Cameron581, sorry but that means that when Paranoid Android updates to android oreo u will continue the developement ?

CarbonROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware based on Android 7.1.2, created with the goal to reach the best stability and performance. Our vision is to be the best alternative to your Stock Android firmware which came out of the box.

The CarbonROM does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Important Notes
This build wasn't planned to be published here in XDA since it was only built for a friend of me using still the Huawei P8Lite.
After a while I decided to publish it here that more people can use this ROM. Since I only own an Honor 6X I can't provide regulary updates of the ROM because without the phone in my hands it's nearly impossible to work on it. Do not expect more contributing or any updates with fixed bugs on this ROM and please don't ask for it.
Anyway... Happy flashing!

at the beginning I was presented with many performance bugs such as massive lag, red edges when owning lag, constant restarts.
Fixed hack kernel flashing 0.2 nougat, installing magisk and kernel auditor, turning off the 3 cores (leaving the first) then turning on the four cores and ready, fixed lag although sometimes there's lag in some apps or at the beginning
Sometimes there's a bootloop until you plug in ypur phone.
Can I use it without LTE SIM?
Is there any way to use this room without an LTE Sim card?

Maybe you are doing too much too soon. Pick a couple of projects that you can update regularly and then release them. I for one would be happy to use slim nougat given its updated regularly.

My only request would be to add microg support to it.
OT - have you considered any gzosp base rom for development? IMO, they seem to be more smoother than others. I have experienced that on mido

Btw does this ROM have OOS full screen gestures
Any bugs, you want us to try?
Hey, I flashed the experimental 21112018 build but I have no signals and it is showing I have no sim card installed.
Flashed OOS once, was already on OOS, then flashed Xenon, booted up and then flashed GApps. No root for now.
Please help if I made a mistake...
Nice to see you, dadi11. I remember you from my LG G3 days. I loved that workhorse. I'll give this a run for the money and provide general feedback.

It was just released! We're not even a page deep in posts. Give people a chance to install and test. With the holiday upon us, it may take some time to get user feedback.
Latest Pixel Camera Port -many force Closes and Night Sight not working , OP6 Cam is OK but after use of the Gcam and switch back to the OP6 Camera it doesnt work normaly. After Reboot the OP6 cam is then ok. The Gestures seems a little bit slower then the stock gestures on the latest Beta.
And .... How can i turn off the always on display, becouse the slider is off but nothing happens
I noticed that in my files app, the internal storage is hidden and you have to unhide it. When you unhide it, it shows up as 'unknown' but has all data in it
Edit: ambient display also seems to be always on when music is playing and the device is locked
When the screen of the mobile phone is off, the screen will light up for a while, then it will be off for a few seconds. What is the reason? I hope that the subsequent version can be solved. My mobile phone is one plus 6, and the ROM is based on Android 9.
