Hello , i am on BLA-L29 8.0.0.127(C432) , i have seen that 129 is for sure released to some people for c 432 ( Eu region). I have tried the firmware finder to download and install the full-ota of .129 but it fails when it is about to restart with the error that the update is not verified etc.
Are there other users (C432) stuck in .127 also?
Im on bla l09 129 now updated from the ota on monday.
AFAIK 129 isn't approved yet, and can only be installed through FunkyHuawei.

Remember that when you use firmware finder, to check with imei availability. If it's not approved you cannot flash successfully. But get errors

BLA-L29 C432 still on 8.0.0.127 here.. Checking through system update shows nothing while other regions have even received .132... wtf huawei?
On FF it shows updates up to .130 but i can only obtain .129 which is approved with IMEI.. however yesterday 3 updates were pulled from FF which felt shady and made me think they were faulty since people were complaining about wi-fi battery drain so i didn't use the app.
If the phone's system updater decides to work will it give me directly .130/the latest update currently or i'll get just .128? Should i update over FF? Is it safe? Why were the updates pulled yesterday?

Hello,
I have a PRA-LX1 C432 unbranded and the updater keep saying I have the latest official update B170.
Using HFF we can see B181, 183 and 191 for C432 model. But... making a system dump of these builds we can see that there is in build.prop "generic_15" as phone model...
So I didn't install anything...
- Are the builds from HFF trustables ??
- Is there a way to force the update?
thanks!

But there are more than one build 181, do you know which one you installed ?
your device name continues to be PRA-LX1 or moved to "generic_15" ?
Anything consistent in this update ?
thanks

What country/region are you from?
What is the present firmware version B160 dated?
Firmware Finder (FF) (online version) shows B150 as the latest, so FF's probably not going to help you unfortunately: http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=VIE-L09c627&firmware_page=0
Your only other option may be to convert to another region's ROM, which has received regular updates - e.g. Euro C432 ROM (latest is B382, dated March 2018). But, it's a risky procedure which involves unlocking the bootloader, rooting the phone, changing the vendor country info with SRK Tool, etc, etc.

Which update did you try? If you're still on 4.1, then you should try a much earlier update (i.e. the very 1st 5.0 update) - I'd recommend one of the B361s from here (or via the FF app): http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=VIE-L29C605&firmware_page=0
Always download & apply the FullOTA-MF, in this case ~1.3Gb file size.
Once you have installed B361 successfully, try the B381 update (not the latest B382 as it will not work at this stage most likely). Again, download the FullOTA-MF (1.4Gb) & apply it.

try B202 first
I had an P9+ B130 version and was able to upgrade to B202, which is needed as a stepping stone to MIUI 5. I used FF with the proxy update scheme. The B202 update worked while other versions stopped at verifying the update, which is just what you experienced.

Same problem here. I'm still on vie-l29c636b103. Any solutions?
I've got an P9 Plus (VIE-L09C432) and the latest update I get is B370 from March 2017. I can see from other users on XDA and Firmware Finder (FF) that there are newer updates out there. But neither "system update" on the phone, nor HiSuite finds anything newer than B370.
Why is different updates available only in some regions. Who decides this? Huawei or my phone company?
I tried updating via FF, but even though it makes the system updater find a newer firmware it failes when I try to download it. My next phone will by a pure Google phone.

The build have to be approved by Huawei in FF.
For your phone, the latest approved build are B381.
Yes, the question then is why do I never get any updates newer than B370? Is somehow Huawei or Telia (my phone company) holding the updates back?

Strange, i'm a swede with Telia...got B381 OTA weeks ago.
(it has nothing to do with Telia)
Sent a mesage to Huawei support and they asked for my IMEI number and would look into why my phone never got the updates after B370. Have not heard back from them yet, but I'm optimistic. At one time I have unlocked my boot loader and rooted the phone, but I relocked it and restored the phone via B360 which was updated to B370 via my one and only OTA received. I found I had little or no use for root on the phone.
B384 is now approved in FF. (Smooth update)
Security patch April 1
3D camera
Today I got B384 as official OTA ...
I gave up waiting for the updates via OTA and just used FF, now on B384 myself.

Maybe Huawei has forgotten your IMEI. You can update manually with Firmware Finder app (no root, no unlocked bootloader needed) or with my guide (unlocked BL needed).

A checksum error suggests that the file has gone corrupt during the download. You must pause the download after 1% or so, turn off the proxy or DNS settings, and then resume the download. Did you do that?

Hey man, I'm from Tunisia, I was stuck on VTR-L09C109B173 desperately waiting for Oreo until last month when I finally decided to rebrand my P10 to L29C432 with no regrets, I'm now receiving monthly updates from Huawei!
You have to unlock your bootloader in order to rebrand your device, If you didn't unlock it, I'm afraid that you can no longer get your unlock code as Huawei already shut down the last working link few days ago...

I see you try to download small update packages. You need the FullOTA versions. Try DNS and pause after 1%.
I have Clt-l09 c432 with .161 version.
I used to see 163 version and later 195 version in update settings..
I did not make update.
Yesterday, i have seen that my update has been lost.
There is no update anymore.
I have connected my p20 pro to my laptop.
I used to see updates there also.
But updates when i connect to my laptop, has been lost also.

Do you contact Huawei support ?
I can assume that your cellular operator (assuming updates are still pushed through those) or Huawei pulled those updates because newer version was released.
Just out of curiosity, if you don't update your phone, why do you care the updates were pulled?
It is ok now. I could update to 9.0.0.203 through ota.
One month ago, i did update to 195 version. But system and camera was worse. So did returned to 8.1
Thanks for answers..
