[GUIDE] Working Dolby Atmos for Stock OSS

Hi Everyone,
After doing some research i found a working Dolby Atmos sound mod for OP3 stock OSS.
How to install:
-Download the zip from here
-Flash from TWRP.
-Reboot.

Bro. The reason why nothing seems to work on stock is because they ****ed up the vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf
Copy your system/etc/audio_effects.conf to your vendor/etc and replace the existing one. Then flash my Dolby Atmos' or any other. Same thing with V4A.
Idk what OnePlus was thinking when they released the phone with bugged configs.

Guys, any idea why A. R. I. S. E (1.3) break the Bluetooth on OOS 3.2.2?

Replace /vendor/etc/audio_effects.conf with the /system/etc/audio_effects.conf.

You're on OOS?
By breaking Bluetooth I mean that I can connect to a Bluetooth speaker, but then when I play a music the phone hangs and freezes.

This is a known issue we are working on fixing. However Numbers is internal beta right now and we are currently testing a fully systemless implementation.

I can confirm that my Bluetooth also breaks on 3.2.2 after installing viper & Dolby Atmos. Glad to see others are working on it!

Yeah so Numbers doesn't have this issue. I had the same issue with my OP3 with Leviticus 1.3

A.R.I.S.E. is better. and guitardedhero has a team now so it's really nice.

Yes. I have 2 Bluetooth headsets and my car's Bluetooth. They work just fine with dolby and viper enabled.

Read it is based on 3.5.5 firmware so a modified twrp is needed.
But anyways if you don't call it works because the incall speaker is not working.

Yeah, I figured it out eventually. I flashed twrp 3.0.2-22 through flashify. Confirming incall speaker not working.

EMUIMIX CM VERSION ALPHA 1 RELEASED
The rom is done 80%, it boots, but I need someone to test it with his phone too to be 100% that everything is working.
Features of the rom: EMUI VERSION
What is not working:
-Wifi(sees all networks but when I try to connect it fails and says: The connection to"network" has expired. The connection has failed.
-I have a problem with Huawei Swype Keyboard. At first boot when I try to type something the keyboard doesn't show. After skipping everything in first boot of the os you need to go to -Settings-Advanced Settings-Language and tiping methods-There you press on Default Keyboard, then select Google Keyboard or how it's named, I forgot.
-Bluetooth- same problem as wifi; maybe even worse, whe you press on Activate bluetooth, after 10 seconds it goes off again.
I have not tested everything because at the same time I am working and on The CyanogenMod 12.1 EmuiMix. This is the Modded Emui EmuiMix.
I do not not when I will release the CyanogenMod EmuiMix, I'm kinda mad that I need to fix the Wifi and Bluetooth, and on CM I need to fix A LOT
So please, if anybody can test this ROM or help me to fix the Wifi would be great.

More optimizations, proffesional camera app( light painting... etc and proffesional mode), new boot ui, bloatware removed,and I don't know what to add more. If you have ideas or you want some features in this rom tell me.

Is it possible to change the default launcher? I remember on my old huawei device there were roms, that were based on the emui, but with nova launcher as default and only launcher.

Already TRIED that. Result=> Black screen after firstboot setup. You can access settings, etc, but no launcher. And I tried with Google Now Launcher.
And changing FULL system UI is a waste a time. I'm just finishing this custom rom version because it was already done from one of my older projects.
I want to finish this custom rom and continue my CM 12.1 EmuiMix, bcause that is my main project.

Try to port emui 5.0, or modify a 4.0 to looks like 5.0. This would be cool

Hehe, you need to have a device with similar specs, and no kirin620 chipset device runs at this moment EMUI 5, and to make 4.0 look like 5.0 you can just download a theme and set it in the hwthemes app.

As we are all aware that once again Google broke SafetyNet Passing as they have extended their property scanning | Original Article here
The temporary fix was originally mentioned on this thread by @[email protected]
However you had to do the terminal commands after every reboot, thus Me and a few friends took this idea and created an app that does the same for you in the background and thus an easy temporary fix.
All you have to do is to install the apk as usual, grant it supersu permission and click to fix :laugh:

This is tested on 7.1.1 not sure about Android 6, but you may wait for the official fix or try using the ADB commands manually if that works :fingers-crossed:

Hmmm, mines a Galaxy S8 on Android 7.0 as we don't have the luxury of 7.1 yet... Shows the difference I guess between different versions or phones I suppose

I have just got it working. I opened your apk and changed the minimum SDK version from 25 to 23 as I believe that stock Android 7.0 runs SDK23.
Installed perfectly and does as you have said it does.
I am also going to assume if we lowered the minimum SDK a bit more you may get it working on Android 6 but would need a guinea pig to try it lol. I can send the modified APK to you if you want to take a look

I been test when I back to home. I have install mod to pass safety and its pass but when I back I dissable and check it work on my rr5.8.3

I guess it only works without modules activated.

Black camera preview

Ok, so I have this issue, I'm on .126 and I unlocked the BL on this firmware as well, and I have TWRP/Magisk and Existenz patch installed, camera was working fine but I'm not sure if Existenz or the actual camera fix triggered this issue, I have been reading through various threads but now I'm so confused , A clean install of FW .126 it's enough to get the camera back? Any suggestions here? I'm new to this device I don't really wanna mess up anything, I have enough with my rip DRM keys :silly:

You're big! Thanks for the fix, you saved me of wipe all my data, I appreciate the help, I'm very unfamiliar with Sony devices now, the last Xperia I had was the Z1 Compact, I also owned a Z2, great phones, but everything worked different back then :silly:
I'm also waiting for Existence 3.0! Also for an AOSP rom? Glad to see devs giving some love for this device, it is great tho. ?

Sadly the existence developer doesn't like custom ROMs :silly:
But AOSP is there
omnirom is coming and lineageos is in the works.

In coming eXistenZ v3.0.0 the camera patch will be separated for people who unlocked bootloader on 126 firmware.

Me and Other one ported omnirom.
And there is AOSP.
And we can mainly rely on the Sony aosp device tree's and their hard low level driver and kernel work

Yes, yes, I know that you and other peoples are working hard on several projects and it's great !
I would be happy to test other ROM but at the moment Lineage is my favourite

Hello I have Sony Xperia XZ2 from my friend and he has an issue that camera preview shows black screen. It works in taking photo, he just cannot ses what he is aiming at. Is this same issue as you has? And can it be fixed by reflashing phone?

I do not own the XZ2 anymore but you can try by flashing vendor.sin via newflasher, that worked for me, if it doesn't work flash the whole firmware and it should be fine.
