Well, I'm looking forward to buy a Xiaomi phone.
I never used a xiaomi phone before, therefore I'm thinking which one to choose? If I buy Mi A2, I'll get stock android ui. But I think if I get a xiaomi phone than why can't I use MiUI? Well, I know that Mi A2 is "Android One" device but is there any way to use MiUI 9/10 in Mi A2? If not now, than will in future?
Yes in the future you will be able to flash the Mi6x rom on your MI A2 if you wanna taste MIUI.
It was the same case with MI 5X/A2 !

Thanks for the info buddy! @marc2800
Are there any news about this developement? I like the hardware-specs but Android One is missing some usefull features, like one-hand-controll and twin-apps (usefull for e.g. whatsapp on a dual-sim smartphone).
Sadly buying a Mi 6X is no option because it doesn't connect to 4G networks in Band 20 (important for Germany).

I was able to flash the mi 6x fastboot rom, the bootloader works fine. The partition system is a little different from stock (android One) so a bit of work needs to be done. besides that, according to the Mi 6x forums they already installed our firmware (Mi A2) on their devices(Mi 6x) with no issues. So it is definitely possible, just a little beyond my area of expertise. If you want to check it out for yourself the link is http://en.miui.com/thread-3439864-1-1.html

If you want MIUI then just buy any other Xiaomi phone that's available in your country. Why even bother getting A2? Just get any other device and flash custom ROM if just want the taste of stock android.
And regarding future development, I don't think any dev will waste their time on it because you already have a official phone with MIUI on it.
It doesn't even make sense to put effort in this cross development. A dev tried porting MIUI for A1 but it sees like the work is till in progress.
It'd be easier to install custom ROM on a MIUI phone than MIUI on stock.
Miui should not be too crazy to get working on our devices. It is just a matter of if enough people/devs want it and have drive to do something about it.

tell me please
how to install miui on mi a2 android one?
Well, I think I've posted in wrong division. But the thing is Mi 6X is the updated model against Mi 5X. There is a forum/thread for Mi 5X, but why not one for Mi 6X? There is no post/recovery! But why?
Why? Mi 6X is the China variant of Mi A2. Mi 6X is completely comes with the same hardware configuration like Mi A2. Than why there is no thread/forum for Mi 6X? (Note : Mi 6X's device codename is "wayne")

I also don't get it.
Way to necro a thread lol.
Also, you are literally in the 6X sub-forum.
Does every single ROM in this forum work on both phones?

With unlocked bootloader probably yes. Not sure about recovery.
Yes, they are exactly the same device. Mi CC 9 I believe was a China exclusive or something like that. Mi 9 Lite is the global version of that device. Mi CC 9 = Mi 9 Lite pretty much. Although you should be careful, there is actually 3 varients of this devices, besides the two I've already spoken of there is the Mi CC 9 Meitu edition. This has slightly different specs (in terms of ram I think), Mi CC 9 Meitu's codename is "vela" whilst the Mi CC 9 & Mi 9 Lite's codename is "pyxis". When you flash something, just make sure the codename for the rom or whatever it is includes "pyxis". You should be fine then.
Hi everyone, I have had a Mi A2 for two years and no longer having the warranty, I got curious about converting it to Mi 6X and I ask a few questions about it:
1) Will I lose the B20? in Italy this band is very important and I would like to know if it is lost even if the hardware initially supports it when it is in Mi A2 and if it continues to be supported after it has been converted.
2) Do the Xiaomi.eu have ARB?
3) Will some partitions (persistbak type) still exist? Even if returned to Mi A2?
