Can't access TWRP

Hi, i have on my z1 cyanogen 11, but somehow i can only access CMW and can't access TWRP. I made a backup on TWRP of my stock rom and now im unable to restore it :$
I installed XZ dualrecovery 2.8.15
any ideas?

no idea why you cant access TWRP, but you can flash a stock kernel with TWRP build-in to restore your backup and flash back CM kernel to boot it up.
and XZdualrecovery does not support AOSP

Install twrp with flashtool?

Hello, is it possible to install twrp permanently via flashtool?
I flashed twrp img with flashtool (select kernel to flash) but then my phone wasnt able to boot up, so I installed lineage os rom.
After that, I booted up to system without any problem. I restarted my phone to check the twrp recovery but I noticed that It reverted into the stock one.
I tried to install twrp via the twrp app, the app says it flashed successfully but when I boot up into recovery, my phone shows the stock one. Please help me someone.

nevermind, I managed to install twrp with rom toolbox app.

Unable to update to MIUI 9

Hello guys.
I've just tried to update to MIUI 9.0.1.0 NDDMIEI from MIUI 8.5.9.0 NDDMIED on device Xiaomi Mi Max 2 but it failed.
I have an unlocked bootloader and SuperSu installed, but the recovery is Mi Stock Recovery. :cyclops:
I had directly booted TWRP Recovery without flashing using

fastboot boot twrp.img
to flash SuperSu on device. :good:
Need support with this issue. I don't want to flash whole ROM every time I recieve an update.

i successfully flashed to miui v9(V9.0.1.0.NDDMIEI) over miui v8(V8.5.8.0.NDDMIED) without data wipe. all my data were intact
Keep a backup just in case
make sure you downloaded recovery flashable full rom package ~1.38GB (not the 500mb OTA update )
donot wipe data/cache/dalvik
flash via TWRP recovery
just flashing rom wont boot due to dm-verity. (result will be bootloop)
u need to flash super user or magisk (or lazy flasher "ive not tried though" ) which patches boot.img which makes rom bootable

I'll give it a try. Currently I have data wiped and installed full ROM through fastboot method. So next time, for sure I'll give it a shot.
But I have a doubt, where TWRP be able to flash an MIUI ROM. I mean the bootloader unlocked, encrypted system partition and all.

Since you have your device rooted, first install flashify, and backup your stock recovery. Then you can flash twrp recovery and install Miui 9, and root the device again. Last, install flashify again and restore your stock recovery.

Can you give stock recovery from mi max 2? I forgot to back up his original recovery stock and was hit with twrp.

Need to flash TWRP which will remain after reboot...

Hi All,
I am on MIUI 11.0.1 rom and have unlocked bootloader and have got Root as well. I had flashed twrp-3.3.1-2-raphael-mauronofrio recovery initially but I found that it doesn't persist after reboot and stock recovery appears. How can I make it permanent recovery option and when OTA update comes, will it wipe the TWRP recovery as well?
Also, now I have stock recovery with root and if I flash the TWRP again, do I need to format data again? I have installed all the apps and copied data in phone and dont want to lose again..

You shoulf flash magisk after recovery

Thanks for the reply.. I did flash magisk after flashing TWRP to root the phone.. But now my recovery is Stock..

Stock rom witr TWRP possible?

I want to have stock rom with TWRP and Magisk, but I have fallen so far
My X2 Pro EU Is unlocked, with TWRP (same situation official and TWRP 3.3.1-11) ... and bootloop instead of rom
Stock OZIP does not install correctly. What should I do? Search for stock recovery, install stock rom and try TWRP again?
