I have a stable wifi connection while one of my android gets the proper speed, A2 gets low amount of data at that same time. On a 3MBps package, my other phone crosses 250kbps, while A2 gets some what 110-150kbps in general. I have double checked this matter. FYI, this was in A1 too after updating to oreo. I am on august patch update. Please shed some lights regarding this crucial matter on HOW TO FIX IT
My Mi A2 is losing connection constantly, so it must be a general problem.
I've noticed that 5 Ghz reception isn't as good as my previous phones at long distances, but at short distances I'm getting over 17 MB/s (136 Mbps).
Sent from my Mi A2 using Tapatalk
I've not noticed any issues. Can pull 11MB/sec over wifi no problem.

surprisingly it's the same issue with Mi A1 and official ROM - sometimes drops connection - not customs like LOS or RR.
but due to full treble comptability we should have benefits from flashing GSIs soon
it seems work fine on my device.

Have u find any solution? I have the same problem. Wifi sometimes get too slow to load anything, but in other devices it works perfectly fine.
Same problem here. Have a 200U/10D Mbps package. On 5GHz i pull about 72Mbps and upload 10Mbps which is acceptable (tho I've seen in this thread that the HW can do much more), but on 2.4GHz, it's just hell... I get 2.6 down and 2.2 up. In these tests I was next to the router so they are not affected by distance.
In my case the Mi A2 is pretty much identical speeds with (my router) 5GHz wifi as the other phones I've used recently. That includes Huawei Mate SE, LG G6, Google Nexus 5 and 5x. I'm never connected for more than a few minutes though.
I had the same problem. Then I did a connection reset in the network and internet menu, and that did the trick.

Could you please elaborate how you did the reset please?
Oke to do this go to the settings menu. Choose 'network and Internet' Then in the top right corner click on the 3 dots. Then choose reset.
Did that but didn't help. Still get VERY bad speeds on 2.4 GHz
I have the same problem. I have found a solution for me. Plane Mode and WiFi on. With this i have a normal wifi speed. With activated Sim cards the speed ist slow. Regards
Have you checked, when you have WiFi problems, for CPU stuck at Max freq?
BTW, I had plane mode activated for 2 weeks and never had CPU problems and 1st day I opened it came back.
Found a solution
Hey so what you guys need to do is hold the Wi-Fi icon in the quick menu, and then press Wi-Fi preferences and the press advenced, network rating provider, and then click none. This worked for me.

Similar Problem
I have a Galaxy S GT-I9000 running Darky's ROM 10.2 EE also.
Whilst at home I can connect Wi-Fi to my home router and whilst using the internet the Notification Bar icon turns from Grey to Green as I use the internet.
On the train yesterday I connected to the free Wi-Fi, phone showed me as connected but the icons remained grey and I could not use the internet.
I have checked all my settings several times without finding the problem.
Truly annoying and I am NOT flashing again!
If I find Darky's ROM is the problem then I will change to another ROM or go back to Stock and stay well away from Darky's ROM.
I have similar problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846850
i will post solution there after i find it.
If anyone has a solution already, please share it.
Ok, let me start by saying sorry for the new thread but I've managed to work out that it doesn't matter what ROM I install it happens if I do not have stock android.
Ok, I installed a new fresh ROM and Gapps, all correct, wipe before, wipe after, now boot I up my phone and run a speedtest, 30mbps download, 10 mbps upload, seems great I'm happy new ROM and the internet is working BUT then after maybe 20 minutes or so I run the test again, download is now 2mbps and upload still 10mbps, no matter how many times I test it it always maxes out at 2mbps download, restarting WiFi ect. doesn't do anything only doing a fresh ROM resolves it, for 20 minutes or so, I have all the latest Gapps, Firmware and Radio, tried multiple ROMs, problem follows them all, could it be the phone somehow conflicting with my router now I have a custom ROM?
I really need help with this its ruining my phone.
Or maybe is an "issue" of your modem?
Have you checked the DL speed from pc and see if is the same?
Its perfectly fine, even on my phone for the first 20 minutes or so, then just locks at 2mbps
30mbps down and 10 up on my PC just like it should be

Currently 4A.21.3263.04_10.38m.1157.04L - And just the normal HTC one M7-UL, I had this problem before I even updated firmware and radio, just seems to happen if I'm not running stock ROM, perhaps a radio conflict with my router that the custom ROM doesn't know how to deal with?
My internet provider is Sky UK, I'm getting fibre optic from them and my router is the Sky Hub
Edit:- Ok after unplugging my router and modem its gone back up to 30mbps but now its locked at 2mbps again so I'm guessing it may be my router or modem.

Maybe check the frequency of your phone and the router or some issue with the phone in router's settings
however, i did some test and the results are like this:

Your router should have a page for administrator and you can edit some thing like the frequency of the router and more.
You have to ask sky or check the guide of the modem to do this.

Yeah, sadly Sky Hub is a terrible router for giving you lots of settings, theres not much you can change, damn
I managed to change the channel but thats about it, no effect.
Ok Im using a better router as a relay so i can use its better wireless, now connected via 5GHZ, no really difference apart from download has doubled to a still slow 4mbps and upload dropped to 4 mbps also, hmm
OK after messing around with a better router it seemed fixed but then as usual dropped back to 2mbps, its now even running on 5ghz
Does no one have any clue why this could be happening? could it be a kernel since I have no idea what one I'm supposed to have?
So I've been searching but I can't find a solution to this annoying wakelock. This thing appears when I left wifi to connect to my mobile data. It causes a huge battery drain
It ONLY appears when I'm with mobile data on and wifi off. So, if I am connected to wifi or I keep data disabled, there's no drain at all
This is desperate. Very very desperate. I can see that some users are suffering this heavier than others (hardware problem?). Already tried with other sim card from other carrier, but no fix at all
I appreciate any kind of help. Attach two pictures for you to compare, this is a test for around 4 minutes with screen off. One is with wifi on, the other with wifi off, so using mobile data.

Yeah, that's true, it's supposed to be kernel related but, I've tried several kernels and every one gives me the issue (well, actually I've tried the most popular, elementalX, bulletproof, kangaroo and stock kernel)

I'm not sure for your device, but for mine, N4, this is related to 3g network. So this wakelock is present when you are connected to mobile network via 3g.
To reduce and minimise this wakelock to unnoticeable minimum, I use smart radio option inside gravity box, bit you can use even better application, intelli3g: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voidvapps.intelli3g
This app basically switches automatically to 2g when screen is off or you are connected to wifi.
As I said, this is all assuming your device is similar to mine, since I don't know nothing about your device
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
Thank you mate, but no luck, for me that doesn't fix the issue. In 2g it's the same drain that 3g. In fact, I used to use that app, but there was almost no improvement
So... People with htc one which are your stats, can you check your wakelock time while staying in 3g?
Btw I'm gonna try new kernels now... I've been said all kernels will be the same for this wakelock, but just in case...
need some help with this msm.hsic.host wakelock
need some help with this msm.hsic.host wakelock, I will try to post more screen shots. My battery drain occurs at any time, with wifi or not. WLD did say this was a kernel problem and recommended toggling on and off mobile data, this had no affect on this beast.
to me it seems like this is wifi network location reporting. I've tried to stop google's network location accuracy mode but it keeps coming back. If I'm outside using mobile data and gps I'm ok, only on wifi which I think google is trying to use the network location accuracy mode. Is there a build prop setting I can edit or apk to disable.
GPS issues?
My phone's GPS keeps dropping for some reason. Places I had no problem with on my Nexus 5 suddenly become dead zones with the Mate S. Anyone else have similar issues? My phone was originally from China and I'm in the US if that makes a difference.
I have not had any issues, actually it is probably one of the best functioning GPS's I have had in a phone. It generally works fast and well I have just returned for a week's vacation where I used it everyday for walking around - no problems what so ever., and fast reception even using the phone with no data connection.

That does make a diff. Most China devices are hard coded to only connect to china based Sats and due to this they have trouble connecting to any sats that are not based out of china. Just one of the things you give up when buying china devices.
For me also the Mate S has the best GPS I ever had. Locks so fast and inside the building where I never had before GPS.
gps problem
After firmware update I do reset and a-gps stop working. The sattelites find slowly and works very bad
I use my Mate S from early December 2015.
On December 15th I upgraded the firmware to version B145.
I had no problems with the GPS until ... last week. Then (in Endomondo v 12.0.1), GPS signal dropouts began occur frequently.
I too have started to get blank spots with the sat nave complaining of no signal. Checking gps test shows plenty of sats. I have reset the agps and let it learn its own to see if its any better. Thus was spot on, not sure what has changed as the firmware is still the same at C433B114.
Yesterday, I upgraded my Mate S to Marshmallow (Beta - B303). The problem with the GPS still occurs but ... only the first few dozen minutes.
Then - for the next two and a half hour - everything returns to normal and GPS in Endomondo works fine.

Hi!
Please contact to me on mail [email protected]. I have a question about gps. Thank you!.
Has anyone solved this issue? Would rooting my phone help? I'm in Canada and my GPS was working until last week and I didn't even do an update.
Same issue apparently with no reason or update at all....I think it s definitively a gps hardware issue, maybe due to overheating after hot times spent on the car cocpit....any news on thos topic???
Hi Guys, I has the same issue as I was not able to fix anything for 20mn. But then, searching on the net, I found GPS Test app that was fixing thing for Mate 8. So I installed it, I cleared my AGPS with it and then it updated everything and I could fix within 10s. So great. And sometime, even when I'm in a house.
Link please!
Found the apk but still hanging randomly...i ll try a factory reset...any othe hint?
I'm having The same problem. Today I'm going to try:
Power Mode: Normal
Prorect my exercise app: SportsTracker
Prorect GoogleMaps
Enable High Precision Location (GPS, mobile data and Wi-Fi, all activated, of course).
I'm sure the problem is a confluence of factors: Locked Screen, Power Saving Mode (Intelligent?) and unprotected apps, including GoogleMaps

Hello there!
I have a Xiaomi Redmi 4x device and a few days ago the WiFi started to act up.
I decided to take a look at the logs and this is what I've found:
pastebin.com/w6VXqCWA
I use HAVOC OS 3.0 Android 10 (Q)
The device seems to work in very close proximity of the router but as soon as I move, the connection drops.
(I tried to re-flash the stock ROM and other ROMs, but the problem won't go away)
Thanks in advance, have a great day!
My known someone gave me his 4x to troubleshoot same problem.
I also using same phone too.
At first I have exchanged all hardware between two devices to find its a hardware issue or not (noob)
After that I put back all module to respected phone.
I really don't know what happened... the wifi issues gone!! ?

Do you have any pictures, I wouldn't want to break my phone by messing up with the hardware when opening it up?
have you tried connecting to different wifi network?
while writing this comment latest havoc os build is 3.3 20200401, please try this build and see if you face this issue?
also see if other device connects to wifi correctly or not?
try turning off router for few seconds and start again and check if it works?
