I can receive and even send group text, the only problem is that whenever I am included in a group text it only shows that the person who replied to it. If another person responds to the text then I get another separate text just from that person and not the group. I have T-Mobile and I use the fast.t-mobile.com as my APN (or should I use epc.tmobile.com) Thank you in advance.
I wonder if I'm the only one that is having this issue.

Is there any text programs that's capable of doing group text meaning it can send/receive group text and puts it in one text message not individuals ones for each person I send it to?

Pretty much all of them do - Handcent, GoSMS
And just for info, threads like this are supposed to be posted in the Q&A section. FYI.

I have GoSMS and I haven't found out how to set it so that the group texts are in a group instead of individual texts. I always get them as single texts from people (so I don't even know they're group texts). Do you know what settings to change to get it to show as a group?
Does this happen to anyone?
When I do a group text (mms) to FOUR people, the text is sent fine. Thereafter, when the recepients respond to the group text, it comes back to me as it was sent to FIVE people.
So when I respond to the second text, it goes out to FIVE people. And I get a receive my own text.
I just moved to WP7 to WP8. And this issue started after I switched about three days ago.
Very annoying problem. Any solution?
ive checked and unchecked "send as individual messages", and yet everyone can read each others replies when i do a mass txt send.
how do i stop this? i wanna be able to send a mass text to people, but i dont want anyone to be able to read each others replies.
i dont like this conversation style of texting. it wasnt like this on the evo LTE.
any help appreciated.

This drove me nuts after we had our first baby and I used group messaging to alert friends and family. My understanding is that "Send as individual messages" does not mean it will start individual conversations with each person but it will create an individual thread with each person once they reply.
This is from HTC's website: https://support.htc.com/en-ie/005-HTC_One/060/020
Here is another XDA thread that I found helpful: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2218358
I think everyone will see all replies no matter if you select "Send as individual messages" ... the only difference is how the HTC One will display the replies. A group MMS will combine everyones replies into that one thread, group SMS (unchecked box) will show each persons reply in a thread with just that person (though everyone will get that SMS).
make sense? (not really for me either)
I hope this helps!
Update: I sent a SMS and MMS and checked send as individual messages... The recipients did not see each others replies. I have group messaging turned off in settings.
Send as individual does nothing more than create individual threads upon replies
Ok... Anyone else having problems with group texting?

Yes, the stock messaging app does not support group messaging. Seems very strange to me...I mean, what is this? 2011?
Anyway, if you update Hangouts and use it for SMS/MMS, you can use it for group messaging.
I was hoping that the stock messaging app supports group text but I guess that's not the case
Create a new message >Search for your first contact by name or number >Tap the "To" field at the top, after the comma >Search for your second contact >Repeat for your group until you're ready to write you message
This is how it has always been on stock messaging. Doesn't work like other messaging apps though e.g. only you get the replies, not everyone in the group
I just use Textra messaging app. It's like the stock messaging app on steroids.

Then...that's not group messaging. It's mass texting.
I'm recently bought the new Note8 and went to send out my new number via text messaging. I selected multiple contacts thinking it would just send a message individually to each recipient but it did not. It instead started a full on group chat.
I've deleted it. Still won't stop receiving messages.
I've selected to remove recipients and there's no option to confirm or apply and when I back out after deselecting people, they still remain in the group chat.
Can someone help with this issue?
I've searched everything. Even ran a dark web search that led me to absolutely nothing.
