A language problem maybe, using a language that is not supported by the Assistant?
Try switching system language to English (US) and try again

Are you using stock build? Is it fully updated? It should work just fine.
Mine work fine in my Nissan Pathfinder. Stock phone.

when it just doesn't seem to work the phone denies the stereo access. this can have many reasons but most times this fixes it:
clear the cache and data on the phone app, unlock the phone and connect to the car stereo, go through the splash screens on the phone and give all the permissions.

Google finally rolled out the final 7.1.1 build for the 2015 Nexus brothers just a short while back. The build number reads NMF26F. So for the ones who want the complete Pixel XL feel on their Google Nexus 6Ps running NMF26F i.e. the latest final build can either wait for the Pixelize app (on another thread) to show an update and fetch it from there, or get it from here.

Live Earth Wallpapers just need a small workaround for functioning normally. Just proceed as follows,
- Head over to /data/
- Look for WallapersBReel.apk and install it (tap -> install)
- After installation completes, all Live Earth Wallpapers except Your world - Solar System works
WHAT'S NOT WORKING?
- Pixel's navigation bar animation
- Night Mode

Could you try copying it off /data/app/ to /sdcard/ and then performing an isntall -OR- maybe reboot your phone once before trying?

Hello kribensis! I'm really sorry for the late response.
The failed download workaround - use Opera VPN. Yeah the back end is blocked out in some countries. Kindly let me know!
Also this thread isn't update since Pixelize is where the whole thing is.
Anyway Pixelize will undergo a major upgrade to be self sufficient and patch up your device to Pixel with every upgrade without me in between and a huge download everytime. Will keep all of you posted.

If you're rooted, follow the tutorial below. You need camera NX V7.2 for it to work (stock camera no longer works with this mod installed) and be on any version of 8.1. It's working on my dp1. Cheers.

I finally got it to work this morning. I'm rooted but didn't follow what they say in the article (Read the comments to know why). The article doesn't explain it very well... There's no need to be rooted to make it works. Also, It works flawlessly on the Google Camera without the NX version. I made it works on my Friend's Samsung S7 running Nougat 7.0 and without root as well as my other friend's Samsung Note 8 without root!

Thanks. I'll try uninstalling the NX and see if it works with stock. Don't know about the root part. Said it's needed and I'm rooted anyway but if root isn't needed, even better.

Since it's no longer pixel 2 xl, lost Google lens in Assistant. Got HDR back though. Dang.
Edit: have everything working now. Changed ro.product model back to Pixel 2 XL. Rebooted and didn't lose HDR this time round. Have AR stickers and Google lens in Assistant now. Yay.

In the build prop did u use all lower case letters or Pixel 2 XL??? I'm just wondering because after changing to Pixel 2 XL I lost my hrd once....that's before official 8.1 though....

When I changed everything to marlin, I lost lens in assistant but I got back HDR on NX camera with AR stickers. Last night, I edited build.prop again and changed product model to Pixel 2 XL (as shown). Rebooted and I checked Google Assistant. Lens icon back and working. I thought HDR option would be gone but when I opened NX camera, it's still there.
The only thing is stock camera fc after changing to marlin. But since NX is working with HDR and AR Stickers, I'm not too bothered.
Well I wonder ....my Google lens in assistant and AR stickers in camera are both working fine but hdr disappeared...well u have got something right and that something is what I need to make my thing right ..right ??
Do u have the camera 3 API active ?
Have u added anything else in build prop??

Install this version, just modify Api 26 by Api24 and add ro.product.device=marlin in apk:
ar.core_0.91.171127093.apk
vr.apps.ornament_1.0.171127163-V1.1.apk
If it does not work.
Add line ro.config.calibration_cad=/system/etc/device_profile_angler.proto in build.prop file restart your device
extract the proto and move in /system/etc

I could not find one. I found the module on Google.
You can take a look inside the zip, it is just face unlock and required libs from opengapps packaged as a magisk module.
You could even download the latest gapps and replace the files in the module zip with those from the gapps zip.
Works exceptionally well on my 3a XL. I did the model training about 10 times from different angles and it recongises me within half a second if not less.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did the same a few days ago and am seeing much faster and more reliable unlocks.
Is there anyway to have the option where it goes straight to the home screen instead of having to swipe after it is face unlocked?

Not possible tbh. Face unlock is completely removed from smart lock. no way to bring it back except for custom ROMs.

Recently I had installed android 11 beta on my Pixel 4 xl then out of no where it started to say System UI has stopped working and I couldn't open my device so I flashed android 10 onto it but after doing so my face unlock wont work. Whenever I try to set it up it says Face enrollment didn't work.
If would mean a lot to me for any solutions.

Yes, the Telstra version, but there are some affirmations that the recently July update fixed the face unlock issue with the default version.
Well i Factory reset my phone with beta 2 and couldnt set Up the face unlock It doesnt recognize my face, it says put the face into the circle all the time so I decided to back to July build with android 10 thinking of it will solve the problem but it still says the same
