Rejoice!

I saw on the huawei site that p9lite have source code released
http://download-c.huawei.com/downlo...oadId=80203&version=318922&siteCode=worldwide
Hopefully someone makes a good use of it.
Could you tell me how to flash this file ?

This is not for flashing. That is the kernel source code for this device.
Is just for developers.
They always release the Kernel Sources for their device. but the devs needs also the sources for the Kirin SoC's.
Don't think you will be ever able to build this kernel. Just tested the source and there are a lot of files missing.
I tried to build but already got a error of missing file 'init/mounts.o' that is required to build the kernel.
Yes you can. I did it myself and I'm quite noobish at compiling. I've upgraded the kernel source as well See http://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/p9-lite-kernel-source-updated-to-3-10-t3410130 for the kernel updated as image binary, or the updated source at my github. (props to Paul o Brien for instructions)

Thanx a lot
So what are the chances of seeing a custom ROM with the source for Kirin SoC not released?
And as an aside... any guesses on why it is not released?
Hello, I noticed that the link is no longer available.. do anyone knows why?
I am trying to find it but I found only the chinese DL00 and TL00 version here http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=88007&version=344035&siteCode=cn
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it here:

*Even if it's Marshmallow
Hey guys,
Just picking up and using my trusty P20 Pro after a couple years and noticed no custom kernel (4.14+) or ROMs for EMUI 10.
Anyway, just checking if anyone else has done work on this before I start up on it. I intend to start with some custom kernels based on 4.14. Then maybe a custom ROM based on the released 10.0.
I have hardware testpoint but I've sealed up my phone (for now) and will be using software testpoint (via force upgrade) from now on if required.
Edit: I couldn't even find work on the latest kernel on Github, so I have added one here:
xsacha/kirin970-kernel (github.com)
Since this seems surprisingly unpopular, I assume it's because people don't know how to do custom firmware on EMUI 10? I'll write some instructions here for how to do software testpoint in a separate thread here: How to flash kernel in EMUI 10 via Software Testpoint mode | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com)
Hell ya I would like to help
when you have a new rom i am whiling to be a beta tester
Hello, can you add camera2 Api with this method?
Hello everyone, Id love to start developing an Ultimate Privacy & Security ROM for the RM3 and RM3S, however I can only find the RM3 kernel source codes for android 9, does anyone have links to where I can find the kernel for RM3S? I know of Nubias github but model numbers are weird and RM3S isnt listed anyway.
I am willing to fix ALL problems with the RM3&3S that the community has and release the ROM publicly for free. I just need the source to get started.
Please PM me if the link cant be publicized.
I'm searching around the web but it seems they skipped altogether to release the rm3 and rm3s kernel for android 10 , they even released the 5g kernel ...
I will try around in some CN forums, if i find something i will tell you.
The model code for Rm3s is NX629_V1S

Its not by nubia themselves its a custom kernel, but i will go ahead and give it a review
As described here we have full open source Nokia 5.4 ready to play but with a bad start due to HMD's next-gen bootloader lol
Source code up - Stock ROM up - Time to find root
We got Nokia 5.4 source code and firmware up. I have been looking deep into the source code for any tricks before building it. However we have boot.img now and I think we should get magisk support here. As excepted we have these results: cp...

As oppo-source has released kernel_source and device_tree for find x3 and find x3 pro what possibility could be related to custom kernel, custom rom and i know the bootloader unlock issue does these two source code help in unlocking the bootloader in any way?
https://github.com/oppo-source/android_kernel_oppo_sm8350
https://github.com/oppo-source/android_kernel_modules_and_devicetree_oppo_sm8350
They are to build kernel for your device
Not for unlocking the bootloader in any ways
Ok
