Hello!
Does anyone know if you can have gesture navigation from the Chinese version in the global version?
I have downloaded some through the play store and have had several problems such as being disabled at times.

That's an update to Android Pie screenshot.
I think he mistyped the title. Either that or he posted the wrong screenshot.
The screenshot also says N960, which I believe is the Note9? So, he's in the wrong forum also.
I guess note 8 didn't get any update for pie. this screenshot belong n960F

No, it's a GoodLock module that allows you to do that, but the module is only compatible with Android 8.1 and up. Since we're not getting Android 8.1 and the Note9 was launched with Android 8.1, we have to wait for the Android 9 update before we can use that module.

Just trying on pie beta on note8
Thank for your reply
EDIT:
Now that I'm on pie, how do I get these extra toggles on note8 pie beta
Why you're in such a hurry to install pie? Do you know what restrictions brings us pie? e.g. call recording doesn't work anymore on stock rom... With every new edition, Android is more and more like iOS - user can't do this anymore, user can't do that anymore... And everything covered with "concern for user's privacy and security"
Ask yourself agan before install pie - do you really need this shiny sh*t instead of your free will to use OS accordind to your needs? At least you are a hacker

You install GoodLock and the Navstar module. GoodLock was only released for certain regions and might not be available for you, in which case you can just install the module. GoodLock is basically just a launcher for the modules, but there is a way around it, if GoodLock doesn't work for you and the module doesn't show up in the app drawer (GoodLock isn't strictly needed to make the modules work). You can get the NavStar module from here. Then, like I said, if the module doesn't show in the app drawer, just have a look on the market for an activity launcher app.

I have Pie Beta on my device now as well, and none of the GoodLock modules works for me, including NavStar. I think it's because the modules aren't compatible with Pie, at the moment. We have to wait and see if Samsung updates the modules to work with Pie.

This is very, very interesting. One Handed Operation+ works perfectly fine for me. My OS just simply disables the Routines app. When I "unfreeze" it using Titanium backup, it just gets disabled immediately again. It doesn't even show up in my app manager. All other modules install fine, but some doesn't open at all and others when I change settings, it just doesn't actually change anything. I'm wondering now if it might not be something related to the custom ROM I'm running, that's based on the beta. Maybe something was changed that somehow affects the functionality of the GoodLock modules.

Hello!
Just updated to Android 10 and switched to the new gesture navigation and I love it. The inconvenience is that they seem to work only with the stock launcher which is terrible. Any workaround this issue ?
Well, i got Android 10 update yesterday (not beta but official live version). I use Nova launcher prime. Somehow gestures work - at least back button, to the home screen button and last used apps button all work. Double tap to open Bixby works too for me in Nova. I did Android upgrade, without phone reset.
NB! Nova launcher states in settings, that gestures don't work...but like i said, they work for me.
Such a shame that Samsung still makes a crappy launcher with no special features.
I guess we'll have to wait for updates, the pixel 4 got an update that made gestures work with 3rd party launchers.
I'm the same (Nova Prime), and my gestures are just as they were pre-upgrade - which I'm kind of happy about. But I just don't quite understand why! I didn't think launcher would affect it.
I'm sure that after Android 10 goes final you'll see a lot of apps update. I can understand a developer not wanting to spend a lot of time developing an app for beta compatibility. Even Samsung waits on their own apps while in beta, e.g. Good Lock.

Erm...don't know if you are aware but the beta program is over, the final software is available via OTA update, I am not running a beta version of the software .
And Samsung just implemented Android 10's gesture navigation, which is available since September.
Hello guys.
There some way to use gesture as AOSP Rom on Stock Android 10? Like another launcher.
Thx.
"Off topic vent"
I don't know why sony release a new Android without 'choose gesture option' like Motorola does. Looks like a incomplete port ( since Pie ). Maybe to force XZ2 and XZ3 looks like an older device.
Found an app to do It!

Still search for best settings.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...-apps/pie-xperia-10-10-plus-launcher-t3905699
I haven't upgraded to 10 yet, but on 9 I've been using FNG and I prefer it over the AOSP pill gestures.
I think if I'm not wrong that gestures features should be enabled with Android 10, but they are not on xperia xz3. And the funny thing is that there are some apps inside that should do the job, but we have to ask Sony
Here
Same for my XZ3

This is very strange for SONY to do that because everything is there, they just decided to disable this feature for XZ3 users.
I will try to look into it maybe we can activate it through adb just like with pie.

hi yes it's really a shame I personally searched everywhere to activate navigation by gesture but it was impossible I tried with the adb code provided by nreuge but it does not work; the middle bar appears but it does not move there is that the sweeping on the right or on the right which works so was useless

Hi, I have updated to this version, in general everything works fine. I have noticed that now we got an arrow bellow keyboard while typing. Because of that, keyboard has been slightly lifted up. Is there any chance to remove it without root? I have already tried to unhide and hide navigation bar etc. Regards

On previous version 10.0.5 , this arrow didn't exist while using navigation bar set to gestures. You had to gesture " back " to get keyboard down which I get used to. That's what I'm talking about.

weird behavior on 10.0.6
Hi Guys,
I had some troubles to switch form OB14 to 10.0.6. First of all after installation my PIN wasnt recoginzed anymore (this Problem appears first with OB12 I think, but never before for my setup). So i had to switch back to the other Slot to boot OB14 again and there i was able to get thru the locksceen with my PIN again. So I decided to delete every lockscreen security and install 10.0.6 again via TWRP.
After that i was able to access the phone in 10.0.6.... everything looks good so far.
Then I opened Google Playstore the first time and it force closes every time. Clear Data and Cache of Play store and Play services did not help.
So i switched back to OB14 and everything is fine. Any suggestions (besides clean flash ?
thanks
Once and for all, choose the rom you are using and explain why if you can.
I currently have the Chinese rom and i have notificatios problems and some Chinese stuff cant be uninstalled.
I was wondering if its worth it switching to EU since im afraid it will destroy the battery.
I have way better battery life with the EU Rom than the previous global Rom which was installed from the beginning. I am super happy with the phone except camera performance. It's not always performaning as stable as I was used to with my Huawei mate 20 pro.
Xiaomi EU.
I have the EEA model... I was unhappy with how slow the updates were, so I unlocked the bootloader and flashed Xiaomi.EU ROM (stable). So far so good. Battery life, while not spectacular, has been slightly better and the phone doesn't overheat while doing simple tasks anymore.
Coming from stock global I tried Xiaomi EU but didn't like so I got back to global but the EEA version which is MIUI 12.5,for me it is the best rom if you are in Europe and you have a global phone
I came from EEA and flashed eu due to the slow upgrades of EEA and of the better camera quality of eu version

Just followed this video
Who still thinks the Chinese ROM is the best?
Anyone?
Is the camera actually that much better?
I'm still on China.. Everything looks normal and working well.. what am I missing?
I just changes keyboard and uninstall the china apps. Only two apps can't be uninstalled.
I wanted to change to EU, but I am now wondering if to just stay on China.
