Hey bro, look at ROM OS Version.. Thought I would say it before someone else does

Nice and smooth Rom. Only Magisk i cant give apps root access

Oh yeah, android 11 in title Rom version 10 in description.
May I assume correctly, there won't be any new updates for the stable 10 version with this eye candy but cumbersome Asus stitch?
Does this version has custom volume steps, or may I exspect this 9+10 feature within the next half of the future year?
OH, I forgot, does this room runs stable for weeks like the last 1/4 latest versions of 9 & & 10 or does it - as the straps 9 & & 10 versions - crash every then and there?

A small overview of this awesome ROM for people who want to know what to expect going forward.
*ROM is clean. Booting animation is syberia logo flashing from left and A11 during boot up.
* Launcher is quickstep launcher. Does what it is supposed to do.
* Magisk canary can be installed, doesn't pass safety net at first. Enable Magisk hide and safety net passes without problem.
* Power menu translations are broken for me. Power off is in English, while restart is in Russian.
* Magisk should be installed twice as mentioned in instructions.
I will be on this ROM for sometime so you can ask questions or want to test specific stuff, I will be glad to check it out.
Thank you to all devs for this awesome ROM.

So, does this rom has custom volume steps?
And.. This is sadly only answerable within the next weeks.. How stable is it? The latest 9/10 syberiaOS got Rock stable. And in the end, stability got a very important factor to me.
Just getting the latest version, which falls back to the few features and stability of early syberiaOS is not a real improvement for me. It may be better with this 11,but after the experience with the early last 2 versions and owning just one device, I am not that eager to jump through the testing loops.

This is ofcourse the first release and for the first release it is stable enough. I can carry out basic functionality which doesn't hamper the basic use of phone. Customisation will take time to get implemented. For people who want complete stability, better wait for later versions and stay on A10 for now.

Hi!
Thank you very much for the ROM.
My experience, I have installed the ROM in a different way, because I use the Zip to not encrypt the phone.
1 Install OOS 10.3 + twrp 3.3.1-18 reboot recovery 2 Installed OOS 10.3+ twrp 3.3.1-18 and Reboot twrp
3 Install syberian 11+ twrp.
4 Reboot twrp, install gapps + magisk module + No_verity_mod_for_OP6 Android_10_Compatible.zip.
Magisk work fine. fast and fluid, very good color saturation. Bluetooth with my Garmin phoenix 5 plus fine. the only thing that does not have dual sim ring tone.
The gestures on the screen work fine, the gesture to return to home does not work
Thank you very much for this fantastic ROM!View attachment 5104927

Dont compare last versions of a10 to first release of a11. Of course is not the same and will change a lot with the time until it will be really stable. First we need to get OOS 11 to get custom a11 roms stable. Some apps is still not updated to support a11 because of its very early stage

Great rom. And very stable. I haven't found any major bugs. Navigation gesture bar has a bit of problem sometimes it gets stuck in a position while switching to landscape to portrait.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Same happened with Lineage 16.0 SO did it in the order of ROM, Magisk, (new download) GApps, boot, manually install magisk manager. That worked for LOS 16.0, so assume it would also work on this ROM. Not sure which of the above actually resolved it.

I flashed this, and was surprised how smooth and snappy it felt.
I got root to work with Magisk by manually installing the manager.
A couple of notes:
The launcher "worked" but had bugs. long pressing the home screen popped up a white menu with white writing. I successfully changed the wallpaper in the settings
A few times when I installed APK's from a file, the installer would get "stuck". It installed, but the done/open options never came up, and it was often a reboot to access the phone again.
It has some extra features, but is pretty close to AOSP. ie not the customisation I am used to
The screen had a habit of turning down to lower brightness after each time I set it to a higher brightness
Its SELinux permissive, and when I checked, there were a heap of audit exceptions. That would be expected on an early build.
I could make calls and send/receive SMS
Kind of inspires me to Build Pie Havoc-OS downloading the source now...

A couple more things I noted:
1.There is no music player (Thats ASOP, and Pico GApps) I downloaded Vinyl from Playstore, as it allows dark theme'ing.
2. There is No Audio FX. I rooted via magisk, then simply installed Viper v2.6.?.? , installed the drivers, rebooted, enabled it, and it worked :good:

Thats not a bug, but a character of ASOP over lineage; some see it as a reason for going ASOP! Its like saying RR has a bug because I cant set the lockscreen date font colour, but I can on Havoc.
You are using german specific NTP Servers. My preference in my ROMs is to use the more "international" NTP Servers of
Code:
#Global
NTP_SERVER=2.android.pool.ntp.org
NTP_SERVER=time.izatcloud.net
#North America
#NTP_SERVER=north-america.pool.ntp.org
#Australia
#NTP_SERVER=au.pool.ntp.org
#Test
#NTP_SERVER=time.gpsonextra.net
#Europe
NTP_SERVER=europe.pool.ntp.org
#Asia
NTP_SERVER=asia.pool.ntp.org
maybe un-comment North America.
I tested many servers using
Code:
ping
(NB: they dont all respond to a ping request) and
Code:
w32tm /stripchart /computer:2.android.pool.ntp.org /dataonly /samples:5
NB: from the device without WiFi.
My bad, that's a windows thing
Great ROM !!! Using this ROM for 3 days and not many bugs ! The only bugs are camera sometimes fails to open / takes long time to open and home button doesn't work on wake up ! All other things working great ! Super fast! Great interface! Great job ! Looking forward for new updates???

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
Include your OOS base versions in reports. (Eg: 9.0.0, OB7, 9.0.2, etc.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Which TWRP do I use?
A: Use only latest blu_spark TWRP from HERE
Q: Which GApps do I use?
A: I recommened OpenGApps. Any GApps should work but I will only be answering to issues where OpenGApps is used.
Q: Do I have to wipe data if coming from another ROM?
A: Yes, I will not be providing help/support to users that haven't wiped data when coming from another ROM.
Q: How often will I be getting updates?
A: The plan is for weeklies, if unavoidable circumstances come up, please don't spam the thread. I will release a build as soon as one is ready.
Q: Does VoLTE/VoWiFi work?
A: Yes, I have tested on Jio in India and it does work. If you have VoLTE/VoWiFi on OxygenOS working, you should have it working on AOSiP.
Q: I ended up on CrashDump mode, how do I get back to my system?
A: Theres a valuable thread HERE which can help restoring your system, you WILL LOSE ALL DATA and I will not be blamed under any circumstances.
Q: Is the ROM official?
A: Yes, all builds from the 27th of January 2019 are now Official.
Q: I use Telegram, where can I find help on that platform?
A: There is a common AOSiP Group Chat for all devices, the link is HERE
Q: Does SafteyNet pass and is the SELinux Enforcing?
A: Yes, SafteyNet does pass without Magisk as well as with Magisk and SELinux is Enforcing.
Q: What OOS Base firmware do I use?
A: Anything above OOS 9.0 should work fine, i recommend being on the stable OOS builds but the Beta OOS updates should work fine too
Q: I'm having high idle drain, please fix.
A: I'll need more data from you to figure it out, Install BetterBatteryStats and let me know about what it tells you after 3-4 charge cycles. Please do not report issues when having apps like Greenify, Naptime, Wakelock blocker etc.
Q: The vibration sliders aren't taking into effect, they are the same value as they were before increasing/decreasing
A: They aren't the same value. The vibration tested during sliding the slider doesnt reflect the actual value, you can experience the actual value during an incoming call/notification/system vibration.
Q: Does Android Auto and Google Pay work?
A: I've had several users report that Android Auto works!
Google Pay is now 100% working from 20180127.
NOTE: I can't test both of these but i trust my users and testers
Q: My phone is stuck on the "Bootloader is unlocked" warning page, why isn't my system booting?
A: Since there are a bunch of scripts being executed when the device is sent a power on signal, it might take some time to boot. Don't panic, your system will boot fine after some time. All builds are personally tested by me and a few testers.
Q: When I'm updating via OTA in the Updater, do I have to reflash GApps and Magisk? Will TWRP stay after I update?
A: When updating via OTA, GApps and Magisk will remain intact. Have a look in /system/addon.d/. Anything that is present inside that folder will stay after the update.
TWRP will not stay since A/B devices don't have a recovery partition for it to actually stay. You will be reverted to the stock recovery.
yay, another toy to play with
will give her a go once I'm home.
Nice ?
Yeaaah!!?
---------- Post added at 08:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 PM ----------
I flashed this rom and till now it's working really great and really smooth!!
Good work!
If you can just add oos gestures it would be a really great rom for me.
Oos cam?
For everyone that already flashed the build before 12:50AM IST(Indian Standard Time) on the 18th of October 2018, I released a build with the same file name in the website, the build fixes Auto rotate for the device! You can check which file was downloaded based on the file name (the new build is Beta while the old build was BETA) or by the md5 file in the website.
Since the bug is now resolved, I have also removed it from the Known Issues section of the thread.
Have fun with the ROM and rotate the device to your hearts content!
why aren't we wiping system before flashing the rom and why do we need oos on both the slots before this?

OOS Camera is included with almost everything working, only issue currently is rear portrait mode.
I'd personally recommend using a GCam port though.

The ROM zip handles wiping of system and flashing of it in a more stable manner, I've personally had crashdumps or corrupt system partition several times when wiping system from TWRP.
You need it on both slots to ensure you have the necessary firmware in place to prevent bootloops.
Quick question. You said the night mode doesn't have a toggle option currently. Is it forced to be enabled by default?

Does all functions of Gcam work perfectly?
@anirudhgupta109 - An unexpected surprise when I saw this thread! I'm still rocking this ROM on my two Bullhead units. Great to see you here! :highfive:

Disabled and no way to enable, sadly OnePlus' display doesn't follow the AOSP way of night mode so it requires a custom function to enable which I need to work on, when I do it'll be added.
For now, you could change the Panel Modes from the QS tile to Night Mode.

Yes, it depends on which port you're using. Look around for one that works perfectly, shouldn't be too hard!

glad to see it pop up for the op6.

As a precaution, flash it once and then AOSiP
I have to say, the boot animation is CRISP, will come back with a review of the ROM.
This ROM seems really promising, I have one question though, does it have any option to hide the notch?

Pixy's OS Update
Tryout 1:
Flashed the rom after flashing stock ROM using miflash tool.
Suceeded! But just after 2nd boot the ROM went into bootloop.
Tryout 2:
Reflashed the ROM using TWRP and just after flashing the gapps the ROM started showing some screen glitches after booting up.
Tryout 3:
Reflashed Stock ROM(miflash tool)
then, ROM.
Evry thing well and good. Really stable ROM.
But, I faced one issues that was duing calling, THe Phone app(calling) gets freezed up which hanging up. The same thing I saw in HAVOC OS. So restated everything and tried COSMIC OS.
Till now, far and good. Thanks a lot for keeping the 9.0 versions alive.
A big shoutout to @MaheshTechnicals for the updates.

Hey bro its great to test bootleggers on my OP6 and unfortunately & accidentally messed my phone with trying this more hz display which doesn't work on android 10 i haven't glanced that forum clearly(my bad:crying so please provide me necessary code to start my device.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/development/mod-70-72hz-display-mod-oneplus6-t3952113
Its correctly stopped at Warning page of boot loader unlock & please try to add face unlock, oos camera app and proper higher refresh rate module to your code which would definitely welcomed by all OP6 bootleggers users:good:
Will wait for your contribution and support for 1 day & will reinstall bootlegger if nothing works
& thanks alot for building this rom for oneplus 6.

1. I am not sure why you would flash some overclocking thing for the device especially when our displays are capped at 60 hZ. For adding code to add higher refresh rate, i will NEVER DO IT. You may wanna use msm tool to re install OOS directly.
2. OOS Camera support i may be looking into. The things are slightly different than that of pie, so not really sure by when i will be able to add it.
3. Face unlock is something which google took out from code when they brought the pixel 4 series into the market. It is something which is currently not possible for any custom rom running android 10.
You may try to flash the stock 60 hZ and see what goes on

Unable to install magisk modules from the app. However they can be installed on twrp. The hardware overlays magisk module does not install and as a result using android auto is difficult.

Pre-requisites:
* You are familiar with helping yourself out of awkward situations. You won't defame or complain at the developer of this ROM for your misfortunes.
* You are familiar with using fastboot
* Before you are ready to flash this custom ROM, you have to install the latest factory image from October 2021
* Bootloader unlocked
* You have created a backup of your ROM & data
First time installing PixelDust ROM, or coming from another ROM:
YOU MUST HAVE an Android 12 FACTORY IMAGE FLASHED TO BOTH SLOTS BEFORE YOUR FIRST TIME INSTALLING ROM.
1. Flashing stock ROM / unlock bootloader (If applicable):
Follow these instructions: https://developers.google.com/android/images#crosshatch
Boot the stock ROM.
Don't setup any google account, don't add a screen lock. Just go to Settings > System > Developer options. Enable OEM unlocking.
You need to follow this guide to unlock your bootloader.
2. There are now two options for the installation. Either via TWRP or via Sideload (for advanced users).
A. Flashing PixelDust ROM via TWRP:
Download the ROM and both TWRP files (img + zip) (for download links see above).
Boot fastboot mode.
Connect the phone to the Computer with USB cord.
Copy twrp-3.6.2_11-0-crosshatch.img to the platform-tools folder or folder that has fastboot in it and rename it twrp.img.
Open a Command Prompt.
At the Command Prompt type and press enter.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
If requested, swipe to allow modifications.
Tap "Wipe", then tap "Format data" and type yes to continue.
Copy the rom zip and twrp-installer-3.6.2_11-0-crosshatch.zip to your device.
Tap "Install", select the rom zip, tap "Add more Zips", select the twrp-installer.zip and Swipe Slider to install.
When install is successful tap on "Reboot", then tap on the first list item "System".

B. Flashing PixelDust ROM via sideload:
Download the ROM and boot image (for download links see above)
Boot fastboot mode
Connect the phone to the Computer with USB cord.
Flash the boot image (this allows stock recovery to flash unsigned rom zip)
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot_aosp_xxx.img
Wipe userdata (required for first PixelDust/Android 13 install)
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
Reboot into fastbootd
Code:
fastboot reboot fastboot
Use volume keys and power button to select "Enter Recovery"
Select "Apply Update from ADB"
Sideload the ROM zip
Code:
adb sideload PixelDust-Tiramisu-aosp-crosshatch-user-xxx.zip
Reboot

Dirty flashing PixelDust ROM (coming from a previous PixelDust A13 ROM):
Just skip the step "Format data" / "Wipe userdata"

literally just installed the rom, rather painless process. wallpapers are superb. nice and quick navigating around screens very happy with this custom rom
Downloading now and flashing tonight. Good to see developers still working on this phone.
So weird, it installed fine but i don't have anything extra, it's basically just a plain pixel ROM without any mods...

I'll try again after work but I noticed that my build number is different than the one in the changelog which shows (RQ1A.210205.004)
Maybe the download file links to an older version?
Thanks, love this ROM. Most stable rock solid ROM with great battery life I have used. You guys rock!

turns out, when i was flashing Factory image, i was using flash-all.sh but it only flashed the active slot. As soon as i flash both pixel Dust loaded perfectly. Great ROM so far! thanks to the devs.
Chrome and Android System Webview will not update. Other than that it's great and fast.
Edit: Finally got both to update. Had to click update all. Will not update one by one.
Just wanted to say thanks for the amazing ROM! Running great thus far! 1st custom ROM for me w/ Android 11! Great mix of features, gotta say it's nice seeing Face Unlock added back into a ROM, also it seems very snappy and smooth so far! Magisk stable running smoothly.

You used Magisk stable release to get root? I thought Canary was required for 11?

Yeah Magisk stable works. I haven't looked at changelog if you want to go view that to see what the differences are. But I've been using Magisk stable for January and Feb google ROMs
Guys, are you getting a lag when opening/closing the notification shade? The rom works amazing otherwise and no lag anywhere else whatsoever. Love all the customization features!

Ah, thanks a ton! Fixed the lag for me.
Setting "min CPU frequency" of "Cluster 1" in EX Kernel Manager (Little cluster in Franco) to 652MHz instead of 300.
Edit: Lag is back again Did fix it for sometime but it keeps coming back.

I did enable the option to set it at boot - and tried a higher MHz too. But I guess that would have an effect on battery life..
Tough luck
