Hey there,
Today I moved from a Mi Max (hydrogen) to a Redmi 9 (lancelet) and got some doubts:
1. Mi Max (on MIUI 10) had an option to ask for a password to boot the device. Note that this password was asked before the boot. I'm not referring to the password asked on the lockscreen after booting. I did not find this option on Redmi 9. Does it exist?
2. An "e blow: success" appears on the bottom left of my screen when the device boots. Is this normal? I assume the phrase is cut due to the round corner of the device, as a search on Google returns "efuse blow: success", but I cannot figure what it means nor if it is normal.
3. I can install Netflix and all apps from the Play Store with no problems. However, if I open the Play Store, go to "Settings" and scroll all the way down to "Play Protect Certificate", it says my device is uncertified. Is this common?
I'm running MIUI 11.0.8.0. I checked on developer settings and the bootloader is locked.
Thanks
Update: after the MIUI 12 update, the Play Protect Certificate says that the device is certified.
let me answer the second and 3rd, yes we are the same as yours.

Same here too. I guess this is Redmi 9 problem only. I cant find any information about e blow:success error. Worst, I cant even use my phone because of it. It will boot fine when cable is plugin from any power source but will reboot loop right away when unplugged.

Alright so I just picked up a Xiao Mi 8 SE in China while on vacation and have run into a few problems. I was accepted unlock the device but when I enter fastboot while connected to the PC my phone turns black with a small text on the top left corner saying to press any button to shut off device. I also tried to install an official global rom since people have stated it was possible to do with out first unlocking it, but that failed as well. I tried to install google play services from the Mi App store but it wasn't there. So I tried some mirror apk sites to install a vpn and google play services. After "successfully" installing google play services, when I open up the google play store, or any other google app, it crashes immediately, Finally I just tried using the stock camera app, and it crashes 2 seconds after opening it. Is there something I'm missing? I had also just picked up a VIVO Nex with a Chinese ROM it worked fine with google services. I have no idea how to proceed from here. Any help will be appreciated.
Give it to me. Thanks.
Hi,
For some time I have not been able to make some third party apps work in AA. Specifically I am talking about Audible , Podcast Addict and Smart Audiobook Player. They appear correctly in the list when I connect my phone (Redmi 3s on MIUI 10) to my Audi A4 Avant but I constantly get the message "....doesn't seem to be working at the moment". If I start the app before connecting the phone to the car, then it works. I have even factory reset the phone, no root, no modded apps installed, still no joy. I have read that third party apps are not featured in the latest edition of AA but I understand that they should not be listed at all (which is not what I am getting).
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!
P.s. Update: I get the same error with AnyAutoAudio
I found this same issue on my Pocophone F1 (also running MIUI)
To fix.....
Enable Developer Options on MIUI 8 & MIUI 9:
Step 1: Open Settings app on your Mi device.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on About Phone.
Step 3: Tap on MIUI version for about 7-10 times.
Step 4: You should see a message saying “You are now a developer”. That's it now Developer Options are enabled on your device.
Now go into developer options scroll to the bottom and disable "MIUI Optimizations"
you'll probably now need to re-enable some application permissions next time you open them but this should cure your XXX not working issues.
If you still have the issues with some AA apps try disabling any battery saving options on those apps to stop Android closing them in background
at first when reading the title i thought u have issues opening p0rnhub or something...
Hi! I just received my shiny new Mi Pad 4 Plus from a re-seller. The box was sealed, but the device is unlocked (says unlocked when booting), with what seems to be a global installation of "MIUI by xiaomi 10.1 | stable" (version 10.1.1.0(ODJCNFI)).
Play Market was pre-installed, as well as some Google apps (Chrome, Photos, Music). DRM info shows Security Level L3, so no HD Netflix, as expected.
So, my question is, is it the official global MUIU version, or did someone put a custom ROM on it? The box was sealed

If anyone is wondering, I ended up installing the Xiaomi EU ROM for Mi Pad 4, works better now! No random errors and system failures when performing simple tasks. With the OG ROM it would frequently error out when sharing something, similar to this post.
I still get a very rare error, haven't been able to track it down cause I couldn't reproduce it, but overall it's a great stable ROM

Hello,
I'm currently in China but from Canada, and picked up the P 30 Pro (love it!) while here.
I've been reading I can update the firmware to get Google on swipe left instead of HiBoard.
The model says it's a VOG-AL10 on the settings page. Is it possible to use the VOG-L29 or or other firmware? I don't want to brick my device.
Everything on the phone otherwise works, I just don't like the HiBoard being in Chinese so I would like to get google on that screen instead. Is this possible yet? I do have developer options but i cannot select unlock bootloader.
This is my first Huawai phone so I'm not too clear on how to go about doing this.
I was going to grab the firmware from this site;
https://support.halabtech.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=folder&id=44877
I thought Huawei locked the bootloader, no?

Hi ! Does anyone have any news on if we are able to flash international firmware on vog-al10 ? I'm in the same situation as OP. Bought the phone in China but wanted to use it in Europe and current firmware is not well translated. Also, are we able to do so without unlocking the bootloader ?

Any luck? I'm in same situation as you.
I can't even add credit card to Google Pay as it says device is rooter or modified. Also shows as device not certified under Google play

Nope. I can add credit cards to google pay (I removed all the default apps, and switched to Google services is maybe why?) but i cannot use NFC, I can only pay with play store.

Probably I didn't describe the issue well. I can also add a card but not to be used with NFC at store. So same as you..
I also have P30 Pro VOG-AL10 (512GB, 8GB) and I'd like to crossflash it to L29.
Can I flash it using "normal" procedure (firmware->sd card, run update.app) ?
VOG-AL10 with Google account
Here is the solution: You need a mid range non activated in China Huawei phone logged with your Google personal account turned on. Open the ' PHONE CLONE' in your VOG-AL10 and select 'THIS IS THE NEW PHONE' to transfer all your data and apps stored in the mid range phone to the VOG-AL10. When the process has finished your VOG-AL10 will be a Chinese Huawei cloned phone with all the Google account functions.
Moral of the story - do your research first.
The P30 Pro Chinese versions do not usually have Google Play certification. I don't believe that there is currently a way to change the model ID to VOG-L29 either.

Have you tried it? Was it successful?
what if you lost your phone and you can not clone it
I have googled and searched on here extensively for over a week and cannot find anything specific to this model. Everytime I think I'm close it's a false lead that ends up being for a different model number. Any help would be super appreciated or else I just have a hunk of junk I can't even get into. I acquired it from work and they do not know the original users google info... I just want to be able to set this up for games for my 4 year old autistic grandson.
Thanks in advance.
Same Situation, FRP locked got it from an employee who doesn't know the google account... going to try a method once it charges to 50 but I don't think i'll get anywhere tbh.
It can be done.
PHP:
I successfully bypassed on t817v. It was a method using a hotspot and cutting the connection at a certain time. I had it unlocked and then 3 months later girlfriend forgets lock screen code and did factory reset so we're at frp again and i cant remember how exactly to do it and cant find where i saved the link:fingers-crossed:
