I have phone for two day everything is ok except battery draining fast and phone getting hot when I watch some YouTube or just check something on the website or chatting with friends.
Anyone have same issue?! I have china version one.
Mine does not heat up. I occasionally play cod for maybe 1hr with no issues.
Certainly no heating up under normal use.
Battery - it will take a week to learn your usage and bed in.
I'm on 2 weeks in. 7.5 hrs sot over a 14hr work day. Exactly what I think a 4500mah 888 device should do.
I have my phone for 4 days now.
Heating up and battery drain...im just using email + messenger + facebook + Line + Whatsapp. Few calls during the day on Skype...
During night time battery goes down 1% per 1hr = so approximately 8%

Sounds appy. Something running all the time?
Over a normal 12hr work day what sot etc do you get? This is an easy 7.5hr sot over a full day device.
I get that with everything on full except brightness usually at 50pc inside .
Can't comment on dropping overnight, mine sits on the wireless charger.

Yes...almost all applications on this phone. Even they are disabled from background if I open battery usage details I have for example netflix or YT running for 18hrs in the background and for example 20-30min in the foreground.

Might not be your power bank, try using BBS to find out
After a day i can confirm is NOT the power bank. since this happened in the past 3 days
i used Airplane mode all the night to see if some a is Wakelock my phone and got just 3 % of battery usage with the power bank attached, so i manage another test since BBS told me is Android System RIL or something like that.
Second Test: Disabled 3G+ Connectivity for 2 hours and enable just GSM 2G and just got 4 % dropped ( i make a few calls and used whatsapp so is OK), i think is 3G becuase where ilive is outside the city and recently we got a heavy storms (causing shoutdown of the nearest anntena) i have low reception rnothing and 3g running so i think my phone is using more battery trying to acquire more signal and 3G support.
Hello folks,
Yesterday i finally became tired of the ridiculous battery life my phone was geting in official 4.3 rooted. I tried another kernels, uninstalling facebook, facebook messenger (those are said to drain battery) and finally i saw something that was the cause: ~30% of battery usage was by Android System, aka samgung included apps. I installed some ROM without those samsung bloats and seems like the battery is normal again (like it was with 4.1.2). I'm still testing and would be awsome if someone else can get a lot more battery life without those samsung apps and be happy again, like me.
By the way, i installed THIS ONE, but i'm almost sure any 4.3 stock rom without those excluded apps will be fine.
BEFORE: Overnight i had ~4% of battery drain with EVERYTHING turned off, wifi, gps, everything!
NOW: Last night i had ~3% of battery drain with wifi and data ON!
Weird isn't? I think our phone had a very bad OTA this time. Share your experiences! Hope you all get a better battery with this
world wide web says 4.3 OTA across all models has a negative battery defect.
did you root directly from android 4.3?

Yes, before and after the ROM i mentioned (EVR, link in OP)
Reporting:
Right now, my battery level is 40%. Phone is on 1day and 5hours, moderate use. Here is my usage:
WIFI always on yesterday since 3:00pm, switched it off about 12:30 am.
About 12:40 am i switched mobile data on. Mobile data was on til 9:00 am, then i switched all toogles off.
Turned on WIFI AND mobile data about 4:00 pm and until now its all switched on except GPS.
When battery reached something like 5% i will update the post.
Reporting 2:
Now my battery level is 5%, here is my usage since last report. Something i didnt said earlier is that im usimg agni kernel 3.3, cause boeffla caused me random reboots. Using zzmoove as governor and everything else with default values:
WIFI on til midnight, hear some music before this on phone speaker
Switched all off on sleep, at this time (12:40 am) battery level was about 26%
Today turned WIFI on about 9:00 am listening music and browsing
Bellow are screenshots of battery stats today

hey all i am having the issue with official stock but its media server
I even formatted the ext sd but its back.
Any ideas?
hello, as anyone tryed how is the battery life on a full charge - on airplane mode?
can we get near a week of usage watch/chrono etc?
thank you
Bluetooth consumes but a fraction of the neergy the watch needs - most of it is needed for display, memory, processor... I don't think you'll see a much improved life in offline mode - maybe just because you won't be getting notifications, but that would still save just a small amount of energy the watch usually needs.
I tested at night with screen Off and airplane mode. It drain 9% in 8hours.
And that is about the same drop I have leaving the watch overnight: connected just the "Always On" on off. As Zvieratko says, very little impact, only the screen is relevant to fast or slow battery consumption.
The battery life sounds disappointing on the LG G Watch R. I really like the watch and want to get it but I want to be able to stretch the battery life to a week so I only need to recharge it once a week.
Right now I'm using Samsung Gear Fit in offline mode, Display Activation on manual, monitoring my steps, only connecting via BT to my Note 4 before bed each night to sync. With its puny 210mAh (vs Watch R's 410mAh) I am able to make it last 7-8days. With BT on all the time, maybe 4 days.
In airplane mode with the display off I get about 1% usage every hour, so I guess it will last about 4 days on a single charge, however I see no point in this mode. I want to be able to look at it at any time so display is always on, and I want to see my notifications, so it's never in airplane mode. It lasts between 1.5 and 2 days like this.
Since I take it off before I go bed anyway I don't see a problem. The charging cradle is nice, it's not like I need to plug a lead into it. Now that would annoy me.
Of course it could be a problem if you are camping - sorry, can't tell you the time, my watch only lasts a day on a full charge.

Or considering my watch only has a 400mA battery, it could quite possibly recharge of a solar cell stuck to my back pack
I'm facing battery drain problem in my Oneplus 3T device. When I sleep I switched off data connection but it drains at around 2% per hour. But in my previous phone (Xperia Z3) it drained around 4-5% whole night (6-8hr) even data connection is on.

2% per hour is not really a "battery drain". If you use draining apps (for example, the Facebook apps), they are probably still running in the background (even if you have no data). You should check out the Battery section in the settings app, when you pick one of the apps that it has detected that's using your battery, you can see the "CPU Foreground" and "CPU Total". If the total is greater than the foreground CPU time, then the app is using a decent chunk of your battery life while you're not actually using the app.
When you find the apps killing your battery life, you can use something like Greenify - which is an app that hibernates each individual app that you select. This requires root, of course. You can also try using the app Naptime - which puts your phone into hibernation mode immediately after your screen turns off and again requires root. Either app should help you get sub 1% idle battery drainage. Hope this helps...

Use Betterbatterystats to trace the wakelocks that are causing the problem.
Then you can use Xposed+Amplify to limit them or use a custom kernel for better battery handling.

Unable to root my phone. In normal mode it is detected in adb shell. But in fastboot mode my phone is not detected in adb shell. Fastboot devices command don't show device ID.
Phone battery left 63%. Details showing total 13% usage by 7 applications. Where 24% battery gone?
Hi everyone, currently I'm a bit frustated by the battery issue that I have on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5(SM-N9208)

is it normal to have device idle and android os > screen ?
With that screenshot, my SOT is only 1hour 20mins
is there any apps to track down what is draining the battery ?
And I think that the percentage is shown is wrong?
Best regards,
Alex Yamin
I think you're right in saying that the idle shouldn't be that high, maybe an app you recently downloaded?
How long has it been this way?
My battery isn't that great either and sometimes even Pandora or Spotify drain my battery faster

When I'm at work, I don't play any music/games, mostly only whatsapp, telegram, instagram, and a few calls
I think it's already been half a year, been a bit frustating to bring powerbank anytime you go
I also tried to install GSAM battery monitor, saying my battery usage is 15.5% per hour, pretty insane but it is

Whoa... That's a lot. I use YouTube a bit, Spotify, stitcher, WhatsApp, messenger, maybe Gmail sometimes i use a gear S2 and Bluetooth headphones which is why I drain my battery so quick, when I don't use them it lasts me all day... but when I do have them on I always have to charge my phone at lunch or i won't make it thru the work day.
I'll post a pic before I start charging my phone...
