Hey guys, I just got myself this phone and charged it for the first time, after the battery went to about 4%. And even though during charging it said Super Vooc 2.0 super charging, it topped up to 100% in 60 minutes, instead of 37 or so. Do you have any idea why?
Thank you!
I think it depends about the device and room temperature ,, if it's hot ,, it will charge slower than normal speed

Hmm, you could be right, it is extremely hot these days...Cause I cant see other reason, if it would have been faulty, it wouldnt have said Super Vooc 2.0 while charging. Thanks for the idea.
Just try to charge in cold room ,, make sure also the device is not hot
I was thinking sometimes why my device is not charging fast, and the only reason is just the room and device temperature.
It happened to me only for that reason and one place because it's hot

I mean really hot! Normal usage is ok but when I play games or use web browser for half an hour, it turns hot (back and front, lower body). Does anyone have the same problem?
Another thing is the charging time is too long!
Here are the answers from other forum:
Yes the liquid tends to warm up at the lower back half and once that happens, theres no way you can recharge it till it cools down. Feedback from acer engineers theres a temp sensor right behind the battery and if the temp goes above 40c...it'll stop charging. I think that maybe is one of the reason Acer didnt really launch this model worldwide?

Phones with Snapdragon chips in them get warm. The Desire does it; the Nexus does it. I wouldn't worry. My nexus takes about two hours to charger to full.

I have the same problem, its very hot, im worried for the health of cpu and battery..
At least for the charging troubles, using setcpu I defined to run at 500 (around) MHZ when on charge and no overheating then, plugged from evening till morning or using gps for 2,30 hrs with charge connected. It stills warm but no overheating... Tips from EvIl rom, not mine
The lower part is where the CPU is, battery heat would be from the upper back part. Also computer USB charging is slower than wall socket charging.
My Ace getting heated up when ever i put my phone in charge.I use original Batteries only.Usually i get 40"C on every charging cycle without use of phone and with the use of the phone while charging getting 45"C temperature..is that quiet normal or something wrong in it?..I can feel the heat while charging on my hands!

Seriously? Nice question, you are like the first one posting this question, I mean if it gets up to 50°C, then turn off the device and get it off the charger, leave it for 30 minutes and the turn it on and connect the charger.

one main thing that you seemed to have missed, and what would be the most important info.. what is your cpu and your battery temperature? i ask because feel is a very inaccurate way to tell temperature. all feel does is tell you if something is hotter or cooler than what you are feeling with..

i make test with CPUZ and it's Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.65GHz
the battery tempurature is 36.5C (while charging)
but the most importannt thing is the sensor and as i see it's very high
all sensors (0 to 10) the tempurature from 45C to 60C
any relation with that ?
+ when i touched the phone with my hand i feel it warmly and very HOT

well, touch says nothing, as many complain about the heat, when the cpu is below 37C, human body temperature. battery temp can go up to 60C, before the phone shuts down to cool off, and 100C cpu temp(temp of boiling water) before it shuts down. so you are definately below the safety temp. and its normal for the phone to warm up while charging.

aaha okey great !
but i have Enquiry,
why when i charge the phone with usb cable plugged with PC doesn't get HOT and warmly anymore?
the problem just with turbo charger and also the turbo charger get hot
because the problem it's appreared before 5 or 6 days only
before there is no problem

Because they have different output. You will need probably 10 hours to charge your phone over USB when the turbo charger will charge it for 1.5h. The problem didn't appear 5 or 6 days ago, this when you noticed it. And...that's not a problem at all, it's called physics...

the amount of voltage going in differs. the greater the voltage, the more heat will be produced. as said above, "physics".
okey thanks a lot for replay and help o really appreciate that
but as i searched on google i find someone say it's het HOT because when the phone
battrey become less then 15% and charge it to 99% it's damage the phone
and make it warmly .. and i do that many times .. it's right ? OR just physics as you said gays ?
thanks again

hi guys, my problem is when i charge my phone on fast charging using original charging adapter it shows (fast charging for only 10-15m) after that it turns to cable charging and I'm still on Oreo no root, is that a hardware issue?
tried:
- cleaning the charging port
- factory reset
- flashing a new firmware
- tried another adapter and cable.
any suggestions? thank you
Maybe temps are to hot so it switches down to a less heating method for battery protection ...in the summer the fast recharging often doesn't work because temps are to high. To be sure, you can even try another cable (because adapters give rarely these problems but cables often get broken inside for bending them or the USBs plugs get worn for using it) when having the problem and if the result is the same, the reason is the one I explained. This thing happens even to other models so I don't think there's a software problem (as I know, never happened for this) so wipes are not necessary.

so there is a heating method for battery protection? i didn't know that, well it's too hot this summer in my country and my phone going too hot when I'm charging, i didn't have this problem in the winter time so that's the cause. thank you bro for your help.

More the charge gets fast, more the battery gets hot especially if using the phone for something else while charging. In the summer, when the hoter outside temps gets the battery even more hot then it normally should be , to protect the battery (because it might even explode if to hot) in these cases software slows down charging. This happens for all models and even if it's true that cables often get broken slowing down chargings, a lot of people change unnecessarily there cables in these periods because don't know about the temp protection...
This is not a rule for the summer, but for everytime the battery gets hoter then an established temp so, it might happen even in winter if necessary .

Good thing doing this even for another reason : since having my phone, I used fast charge only a couple of times because I needed the extra speed for not having anough time to do the normal one. This because fast charge stresses the battery a lot so it's durability drammactly goes down if using it for every day charging and you will replace it sooner compared to using it after using only the normal charging for everyday usage . Sorry, but I don't agree... Don't think it's not good or worst than others because note 9's fast charge is coming out from the other previous models (S9, S8 ecc) and like for them, used when necessary is the best thing to do for having a long life battery and I'm also convinced that it's meant to be used when necessary.
If this problem occurred after update?
Mi 11 Ultra is charging really slow when I play game or even do a normal surfing or using whatsapp
It's really irritating. Any fix for this.? Is it a software or hardware limitations.??
PS: Phone charges really fast when it is locked nd kept aside. Using indian variant and 55W charger that came with box
Its not 67w charger?
It could be a heat issue. If the phone is too hot, specially when gaming 3d it reduces the charging cause it has control temperature module.

In India we got 55W charger with box. And coming to the point, I agree during gaming it might charge slow due to heating issues. But during surfing nd whatsapp-ing if I charge then also it's god damn slow, do u face same issue.?? Can u pls confirm
When locked it charges really fast.
what is your ambient tempeture? it also affects it.
Thats the reason why some people get the 38min charging from 0 to 100 and others get 45min or more

It's 28°C.
I think the temperature of phone goes up during normal usage than when it is locked. I think that's the issue causing slow charging during normal usage. But I want to know if this an issue with the device or normal.??

Could you please try charging once during gaming.?? Like how much time does it take to charge 5-10% while gaming....that would help me know if I have issue with my device or not. Thanks bro

That's definitely no issue! The Snapdragon 888 heats very fast and while charging even more. So there is no wonder it will reduce the charging speed to cool down while using the phone.
