Anyone no where u can buy the serial data cable, either internet or store? That would help me a lot since nobody can tell, not even o2.
Thanx

I went to quite a lot of trouble to find a serial cable myself aswell. But today I've succeded. I called O2 asking them where I could get one. After going through the stores they suggested I decided to call MCC (the biggest importer of GSM stuff in the netherlands). They couldn't sell me one directly course they aren't re-sellers but they could tell me which store could order one. So I went to 'expert' gave them the product-id and now they are ordering one for me.
I wish you good luck on your hunt and if all else fails you should try it the same way I did.

Gomatic www.gomatic.com sells the cable and can customized it to any connector to your needed device. I had a need to poll a Sentry temp adapter with a serial port connection DB9. I did go through a bit of stress with the 5 grounds. see gomatic or email me.

I have a brand new O2 XDA2i for sale. I got it as a replacement for my stolen O2 XDA2i. It is brand new in the box, unused. It is currently locked for the O2 network, but I can unlock it if requested by the buyers. I am based in Norwich, UK and I am ok for it to be collected in person, or I can post it to the buyer on clearing of the funds. I can also supply it with a O2 prepaid card if required.
It also comes with a spare cradle, spare charger, in car charger and in car holder which will be quite useful if you use if for voice navigation.
Please make sensible offers, and it is up for grabs.
Please feel free to call me on my mobile 07780 661 661.
how much?
gbp 230 + postage (on actuals)
qtek 2020i - where did all my stored data go?
my battery was getting low and i knew i wouldnt be able to charge it for a day or two, so i thought id take off the battery to save its little bit of life for a moment when i needed to make a phone call. when i put the battery back in, first it asked me to set date and time, then took me to normal screens, but all my data was gone! contact phone numbers gone, text and picture messages gone. where did they go? can i get them back? its critical data that i cant lose. its been 3 months since this happened. can someone please give me some advice
would you sell just charger?
i only need a charger that fits a qtek 2020i if your fits would you sell just that? OR do you know a website where can buy a charger? thanks
I'm curious, where is everyone buying their TyTN IIs? I almost got burned on a purchase through eBay (decent rating, but had to file a claim to get my refund).
I looked at smart-mobile-gadgets.com which looks pretty legit. They even have the version with TomTom in stock, and a good price. However when I called the number it went to a generic 'the person @ is unavailable' voicemail box.
I know it's carried at the XDA store but there's no guarantees yet on versions (I want TomTom) and I need the phone sooner rather than later.
On top of that, I've looked into becomming a reseller but none of my distributors carry it either, and I'm getting a lot of runaround from HTC America.
Any suggestions or stories of good experiences of your purchase? Please share!
i bought my unit from supergps - but it was faulty so i sent it back - they said they couldnt reproduce the fault and sent it back to me - so ive now got back to them and have asked for my money back - we'll see what happens - i will probably be buying the next kaiser from someone else who has a bit of credibility to their name (i dunno, maybe expansys)
i bought mine from phonesource-usa.com's store front in las vegas. It had tomtom, uk plug, and no us adapter. no hassles. only caveat is the 14 day return policy. my unit has a bad pixel, but i didn't feel like fussing over it (assuming they would have exchanged it anyway).
i'd buy from them again.
the XDA-Store has a great Deal: http://store.xda-developers.com/HTCTyTNII-unlocked.html
Comes with TomTom and US adapter for the UK plug
I bought from MobilePlanet, myself. And got a discount for getting the AT&T plan through them (need to call their CS to get that).
I would ask a question, though - if you're in the US and don't already own maps for TomTom, you're likely to end up unable to use the taster version that's included. The maps you can select from are relatively small (the LA area is three maps, for example), and I haven't run into anyone who could purchase additional maps for the included version without popping for TomTom 6 anyway.
So if you're in the US, you might want to reduce the importance of TomTom on your purchase decision.
If you are planning to or bought a used nexus one there are a few things you should get from the seller if you want to have a warranty.
original purchasers:
-Address
-Purchaser name
-Google order number
you might be able to get away with just the address and name but itd be best to have all. i just went through a hell of a time finding the original owner of mine so i could get it serviced.
*mods, if you could sticky this or paste it into a stickied thread it would help allot of future buyers
actually i was looking for this info. after you have the original owners name, address do you call htc to change it to your own info?
Shouldn't this be common sense when buying anything major (lot's of money invovled)?
I bought a PS3 last year from someone off Craigslist. I kept his cell number, got the original recepit, and his full name off the receipt. I even wrote down his licence plate number and the color, make and model of his car.
I was so paranoid because he sold me a flawless 2nd gen PS3 80GB, sealed KillZone2, and BNIB PS3 Sixaxis DualShock3 controller all for $250. This was when the PS3 was still $400 and price cuts and the slim were still a rumor. However, dude was rolling in a mid-late 2000 M5. So either he didn't care or he also stole the car LOL.
I have all of those but i can't get it serviced because i live in Europe. HTC screwed me over with this one.

yes you can call htc to change the info or just wait till you need it serviced and do it while you request warranty repair.
if you are in Europe cant you send it in for repair instead of a device swap?
The ASUS wall adapter that came with my Nexus 7 is dead, I can still charge the N7 via USB connected to a PC but not via the wall adapter. I contacted ASUS for a replacement and they say it is not covered under warranty, I can buy a new one for $9.99. I bought the N7 at Staples and they will just replace the N7, cable, and wall adapter, basically return the entire package for a new one. However, Staples doesn't have any more in stock and doesn't know when they will be available. I also don't really want to replace the tablet itself.
Anyone know of a good replacement wall adapter? If the stock ASUS is so weak that it dies in a week, I don't really want to throw good money at another one and would rather get a better one. Also ASUS says three week delay in getting one which is also not really good for me.
Thanks all for your help!
PS, I called google, had I purchased from them they would have replaced it free.

That's rollox, of course it's covered but your first point of contact has to be Staples, your contract is with them not Asus or Google.

Thanks for trying to help, my first contact was Staples, they offered to exchange the entire N7 (wall adapter, cable, tablet) but are out of stock and can only say they will be available in two - three weeks. Staples suggested I contact ASUS as ASUS carries the warranty for the device when outside the exchange window for Staples or the 14 day window from Google.
I contacted ASUS and they won't replace the wall adapter under warranty, they offer to sell me one but also say it will be a long time (weeks) before being shipped.
I think its crap ASUS won't back the wall adapter and replace it free of charge under warranty!
So, I ask again, anyone know of a good wall adapter replacement?
Thanks in advance for all your help!!

Have a search, there's a thread on "chargers" which is US specific.

Ah, sorry Grizzly fan, come live in the UK m8
As for chargers, avoid any of the Griffin ones even though they make some good adaptors, personal experience and posts here say the N7 doesn't even recognise you've got one plugged in.
Many aftermarket charger/cable combos don't play well with the N7. I ordered this one that's supposedly made for the N7, hasn't arrived yet but possibly today. Might be worth a shot.
I just received my OTG cable and saw it was the wrong one I've ordered.
It's turned so its in the way of the mini-jack and the mini usb is too long so there's a gap between the nexus and the plastic on the cable.
could someone point me to the right cable? preferably from aliexpress.com or amazon.co.uk as they will ship to Denmark.
Tnx

I know that sometimes on the US site of amazon it will show up the same on the .co.uk one. So I'll give you the link and see if it works. This is the OTG cable I use with no issues.
Edit: As I just read in the customer comments there. There appears to be some issues depending on the seller. I bought it from seller "Crazy-Store(ship from Hongkong)" (no affiliation to the seller other than being a customer).
Note: It did take about 2-3 weeks for it to arrive to me here in New York, USA.

tnx but they won't ship to Denmark.
I think I've found the right one on amazon UK but they won't ship it here either so there's aliexpress left.
is there a way i can be sure i won't the one with the long connector?

Hard to say given the circumstances. If you check out the comments that I mentioned in my previous post. I guess I got lucky. I'm sure there's someone on here that can or will eventually give a more definitive answer.
Of course, assuming the sellers are actually selling the correct product on Amazon, then I'd say you are going to get the correct cable. And again that's a pretty big assumption after what other people said on Amazon.
according to the comments on the amazon link a seller on ebay named itrimming sould have the right cable so i've made a bid.
Now i just have to wait +9 hours to know if i got it.
hate ebay when i just want to buy something
Bought my two cables here:
http://dx.com/p/micro-5pin-to-usb-female-otg-data-cable-black-129671
Takes usually 3 weeks to have them (Germany) but free shipping
Sv: i bought the wrong OTG cable
Yeah but that one doesn't have the angled connector
