I'm using the HI-201S/HI-202S PS/2 GPS Mouse, with an HP Jornada. Now I want to switch to the XDA for navigation.
Can someone help me with the pin-out for the PS/2 connector for the mouse, so I can connect the mouse to the default connector of the carkit :?:

Hi there,
I've got the T-Mobile MDA with the CarKit and bought a Royaltek RGM-2000 GPS Mouse. Neither the CarKit nor the GPS Receiver have descriptions of the connectors. The CarKit has an 4-pin socket-connector, the rgm-2000 comes with a 5-pin mini-din-like connector I've never seen anywhere else before.
Has anybody got any idea how to get these things together?
Regards
Christian
gps mouse connect to XDA car kit
I have the same gps mouse with XDA car kit.
Try this.....
You must oben the connector for power supply.
On the circuit are the letters R2, T2.
Connect R2 to the green wire of the 8 pin car kit connector.
Connect T2 to the orange wire of the 8 pin car kit connector.
Make a bridge from brown to red wire of the 8 pin car kit connector.
It still works.
Hi
I baought a XDA-Ipaq 36xx 37xx adaptor. It's a littlee cable to connect to the xda Ipaq accesories. Can I use it to atach an Ipaq sleeve with PCMCIA wi FI or bluetooth or CF card/CF GPS? Will it work?
No, these cables only interface to serial or USB, not the expansion port (the XDA doesn't have one, which is the problem right there...)
The double female adapter that I bought did not seem to work so I bought a miniusb to usb adapter. But mice and keyboards still does not work. There is even a setting for mouse sensitivity in the phone. How do you get it to work!?
Thanks.
Seems custom kernel is the only way
Use a bluetooth capable mouse
anybody know of a decent dock that will serve as a stand and offers a keyboard w/ trackpad? i just got my n7 and ordered one of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WSCW4S/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with it and i'm finding that the touchscreen is pretty awkward to use while it's docked. i've scoured amazon for something more suitable with no luck so i thought i'd ask the hive mind. if no such dock exists i should be able to pair a bluetooth mouse or touchpad at the same time right?
Wow... No answers? LoL!! Um... just in case others come looking, you can pair a bluetooth mouse with it. I was looking at that very keyboard dock today. I want one. LoL!! My plans was to use a USB OTG and a wired USB mouse. I may invest in a bluetooth mouse, though.
One thing I've tested before was using a USB OTG: connecting a USB Splitter to it: Then connecting a mouse and keyboard to the splitter. This works. The only issue here may be power. Sometimes the keyboard wouldn't work, or sometimes the mouse wouldn't work. Other times both work fine. I'm lucky enough to have a USB to USB cable, so I plug one end into a power source, laptop, wall adapter, etc, then the other end into one of the splitters. This will give power to the keyboard, mouse and Nexus.
Recently,i bought samsung smart dock. I even bought bluetooth wireless microsoft wedge keyboard and microsoft wireless mouse which came along the bluetooth dongle. Well, everything works fine when i switch on my samsung note 2 bluetooth i can type and mouse works fine.
