We received our PDA2K units last week and the ROM version is older than the one listed on the I-mate site. Make sure you have confirmed your ROM is the latest.
See my signature for latest details after installing ROM. It upgraded everything but the Radio.

I've seen on german forums that the newly shipped o2 xdaIIs from germany have radio rom 1.10.0.
Same is true for the MDAIII, I am downloading a rom now and will post it in wiki

Is there anyway of upgrading an O2 XdaIIs Asia Model with the CE ROM image only? I thought of changing an old 1.22 ROM with the correct Country Codes but its too much stuffing around if O2 Asia end up releasing a ROM updatet for the IIs. I tried upgrading but it keeps failing on 8%, i'm assuming because the encryption has been changed from 1.22 to 1.31. But when i try and install the 1.31 with its BAUpgradeUT it gives me a checksum error, but if i use an older version it failed on 8%.
Anyone know how to upgrade to this version/latest CE rom image?
I have downloaded the new rom for my 02 XDA IIs, I paid for it to be unlock about a year ago now and was wondering if I upgrade the rom will this apply another sim lock?
the ROM version I have is the 1.31.00 WWE and Radio 1.06.00, is the 1.40 worth upgrading to, I have been looking to see what the update includes but can't find a list of what it updates

That later ROMs added new features, such as bluetooth stereo audio, and push e-mail, but the performance he experienced was best with the version above.
I have a T-Mobile (USA) MDA, still with the shipping ROM. I see the ROM version is 1.8.10.2, and the radio version is 1.09.10.
In other words I have a newer ROM than the version he mentions in the article, but an older radio version. (I have 01.09.10, and he recommendes 01.13.10.)
Is it possible to upgrade the radio version without upgrading the ROM version? Would that upgrade the performance of my MDA?
Do others agree,one gets the best performance using 1.6.7.1/01.13.10?

Isn't this just a cooked rom? It also includes the older 1.13 radio :

Wiki reports the 1.57 rom haveing CE OS 5.2.20776 build 20776.1.4.9 and a 1.14 radio
Thus this new rom has a lower radio and a lower OS
Radio can always be individually upgraded or downgraded. ROM 1.59 has to be newer than ROM 1.57 if the former is not a faked or cooked ROM.
