WE WANT ABC BACK! - Off-topic

How comes that ABC on XDA2 forum has disappeared and he isn't listed anymore on member list too? Who damage SRS creator, for being purged from the forum?

There was a database crash on xda-developers.com
Just read the news....
It is a sad day for this community.
In a series of mishaps and mistakes, best characterized as the sysadmin equivalent of a perfect storm, we lost more than 3 weeks of our database.
It all started when we decided to move posts to a whole new system of forums. In that process we screwed up. But we had made a backup just before, so we decided to go back to that, dropping the screwed-up database. Then it turned out that the most recent backup we made was truncated bacause of a memory limit, so it was unuseable.
This dropped us back to an older backup, which in this case was Over three weeks old!!!
This means that we lost:
* All forum postings since October 4th
* All new member registrations since October 4th
* Records of donations since October 4th (this is recoverable...)
* All News items (recoverable too)
If you have any important postings still on disk, in browser cache, or anywhere else, we'd like you to repost them.
Re-working the forum structure will still hapen, sometime later today, and without any further dramatic losses.
I apologize for this event, and we'll work even harder to make sure something like this will never happen again.

Hi,
I know very well that news and I wonder if it has been a case...that's all!
PS This doesn't mean that I suspect of XDA staff, but about uncle Bill and his power...I have some serious suspect.
Love-peace-respect to all XDA staff and their great work!
Bye

Hi, my name is Ezequiel and I have had ORD since 2005. Because of this, I have created a group which I not only maintain, but also I am a proud member of. This kind of group therapy might not give out any results (as we would need someone who has been able to recover from it), but at least we will be able to get past the feeling that we are in essence lonely in this world since no one outside of xda-devs seem to understand what we go through
So, what exactly is ORD?(thanks Fallen Spartan for the definition)
I have finally figured out what is wrong with us all.
We got something that can be called ORD
Obsessive-ROM Updating Disorder
you might have it if you:
-Flashes new roms as soon as they are available
-Need to have the lastes OS build
-Need to have the latest packages, it do not matter if there is no changes to the application, just as long as it has a higher build number.
-Is often forgetful in daily activities cause you are thinking of what the next leaked update will be
-Often does not follow instructions and fails to finish schoolwork, chores, or duties in the workplace because your urge to browse websites sutch as Htcpedia or xda-developers.
-Difficulties completing household chores as you are constantly refreshing your browser for updated roms
-Often having difficulty concentrating on conversations as you are constantly backing up contacts etc, setting up mail and customizing graphics on the newest rom
-Appearing not to listen when spoken to (often being accused of beeing obsessesive with "that damn phone"

I...Hate...XDA
My name is Blair and I am an Addict!
I have been an addict since I got a Kaiser 2 years ago.
Now I cook my own personal ROM's, helped Root a couple Android Devices, and cant stop visiting XDA waiting to get or help with the latest and greated WinMo/Android Mod.
Phewwwwwww!
I feel better already.....ohhhh wait is that a new WinMo build...........
Lol!
I´m Orb and I´m a humanoid, so I can type more and faster
I´m waiting that a profession: Psychologist for not humans to be created, so I´ll be in the first list to get an appointment, I have problems
The real story:
I started on Winmo world back in 2004 when I saw a friend of mine with a Blue angel, I was amazed with it and later on I got an Universal from a trip to Europe, since that I got in love with WM/HTC world, but something was missing....I was bored...
Until I came across XDA!! and all changed, the possibilities were almost infinite on flashing (flashed so many times I´ve lost the count)and customizing, money was my limit to buy more devices so I stayed only with great Uni from 2005 till 2009 that I got the chance to buy a Rhodium (I am not counting my wife´s Excalibur on this story).
Later on I wanted to have a Maple to upgrade my wife´s Excalibur and was looking for one for several months, and recently I´ve found a great deal!
Flashing continues...
That´s the end of the story....for now

I cannot believe that you stole my idea, and used it, and didn't give me any credit for it at all. I made the post/thread "I... Hate... Xda!" and I'm not even linked here, seriously? So mean!! >:{
My Story ...
It started back in late 2008, early 2009. I had just purchased my new HTC Fuze and wasn't very satisfied with how it performed. After a few hours of searching, I came upon XDA Developers and started reading about what could be done to my phone to make it better. In excitement, I created an account on the forum ...
At first, I was flashing ROM's to my device so that I could get the best features and performance. I would leave the ROM on the device for a few weeks; then weekly, daily, and finally ... hourly. I didn't notice that I was becoming addicted at first; my friends and family had. We would be at a social dinner or event and I would find myself logging into XDA from my phone to see if a new ROM had been released. I'd pretend to be involved in the conversation we were having, but cursing inside at the fact that I wasn't in front of my PC to download and flash it to my device.
Popular chefs like NRGZ28, NATF, and ARUPENTHAL would announce an updated release of their next Fuze ROM and I would find myself refreshing my browser every hour waiting for the "uploading" message to change to "uploaded & ready" - like a junkie waiting on a street corner for his pusher to arrive. I would get frustrated at how long it was taking to download the ROM from my 16 Mbps downstream connection. I would stay up all night trying to figure out the best time to download ROM's so that I could push my 16 Mbps connection to it's limit - I even called my ISP to complain about the fact that I couldn't get an OC48 fibre optic connection to my house. I even called RapidShare, Hotfile, MediaFire, and 4shared technical support to plead with them to remove the waiting period - I even bought every single item from the popup advertisements.
During the day, I would find myself taking several breaks so that I could check the forum to see if a new ROM was available or another registry tweak that would enhance my phone. I would tell my colleagues that I had a bladder condition just so I could sneak to the bathroom and check the forum. If a ROM had been released, I would go back to my desk and announce that I wasn't feeling well just so I could go home to download the ROM.
I found myself filled with anxiety wondering if someone else had already downloaded the ROM. Would there be a download slot left for me? I found myself pre-booking helicopter flight services to my home just so I could get there as quickly as possible and make sure that I was the first one to download the latest ROM. I found myself setting up sockpuppet accounts so that I could trace the IP Address of any member who had downloaded the ROM before me ... just to call their ISP and have their accounts suspended so that it wouldn't happen again.
And it got worse; I met a dealer name Da_G. He started supplying me the latest versions of kitchens so that I could make my own ROM's. No more waiting. No more pushers. I was "plugged-in" at the source. I would find all of the latest application packages, and add them to my kitchen. If I ran into a problem, I knew I could turn to him for another fix. I craved it more than life itself; I needed the latest ROM ... even before HTC thought of it.
Near the end, it's all I could do. I even worshipped the great goddess Flar of XDA, so that I would be blessed into the order of modship just so I could get into the "inside track". I sold myself like a cheap prostitute/junkie in need of "just one more fix; and then I'll quit; honest". Then another release of Opera or SenseUI would come out; then a new version 6.5 - the cycle would repeat itself over and over.
I found myself waiting in dark alleys looking for iPhone users just so I could show them the latest ROM I had built; "see," I would say, "I have an app for that too". I was a lost soul like those that perish in the Bermuda Triangle; except mine was that of a lost GPS signal. I found myself on street corners calling friends and asking: "Can you hear me now". I lost everything, my house, my home, my wife, my dignity, my HTC Fuze. I felt like I was in a deep dark cave unable to use the backlight of my Fuze to shine the way.
But then, I was saved - I found ORDER. Founded on the teachings of the grand master ITJE and his three followers of the HardSPL: FALLEN SPARTAN the mystic flasher, STYLEZ the rominator, and the all-knowing MIKECHANNON; the high priest EGZTHUNDER1 seeks to enlighten those afflicted with his wisdom. He taught me that all was not lost ...
I simply had to go buy another phone.

Thank you for your testimony hilaireg, we all know how difficult it is to expose yourself and talk to others about this "demoniac addiction" that is eating all of us inside. Let me tell you, that we really care about you and know what are you passing through, but accepting this and opening to give your testimony...it's a huge step towards sanity and rehab.
We all going to be with you in this long journey to become xda clean...for once and for all...but it's going to be difficult....maybe some up downs...but we will be here for you to provide guidance.
Please group...let's say together "We love you" to hilaireg. And when you feel depressed or that you are going to fall again for this addiction, repeat to yourself...BOOSFRABA....BOOSFRABA...BOOSFRABA...
I hope that helped.
hilaireg... I love you. Ha I lied.

[Q] Petition to Samsung about Bada-os

Hello Friends!
I'm admin of polish fan site about Samsung Wave, which is in some way banned here in xda, because I could not find any topic about it
Anyway, we are aware of Samsung that starting to behave like other big company's in terms of 'user feedback'. A lot of customers that bought Wave are complaying about several, not repaired until today issues/bugs, these are :
1. RAM issues - It has got 512MB, but it goes like it would have 128-256MB.
user who tooks his device from the box sometimes can't even open a website without 'error, no memory, close some apps to free more' - but user than sees, that there is nothing else than webbrowser opened!
2. Lack of office-files editing options avalible in the phone. This is what I use a lot. On my forum there are two main voices - one half says "if you want it, pay for it", second half thinks like me - device for this cash, should have it built-in.
3. Treating users, and their opinions by Samsung - We stated our demands 3-4 moths ago. Samsung never reveals changelogs in his fw - moreover, when we claerly said 'answer our questions with something more than <<we will talk this internaly>> <<we will think about that>> etc... What they did ? Yes, they answered us just same way as always, God!....
There should be some great apps in SamsungApps, where are they ? Why can't we get more than 1 app running at the time ? Imagine using SPB Mobile Shell, and nothing more, because this is how phone behave. It just restarts the secondly and more apps to their "first splash screen". So Yes, you can run multiply instances of programs, but in REAL time (and thats what multitasking means) you can run just ONE APP....
Other words : Samsung Wave with his issues is still being used by thousends of people. Me and my friends we got many so-going issues with out Waves and I personally cannot belive, that this is not a problem of every single user.
That stated I must say, that I liked Wave v.much, by I was pushed by Samsung to sell it. RAM/Multitasking is worse than in old NokiaN95-2.
So if you agree with us, or got 30 seconds to spent, please help us all and sign/like this.

Samsung, in my opinion anyways, are well known for pushing some bad firmware to devices, and having no transparency about issues and what is going on to resolve them. IN the 4/5months that I had an Omnia HD I8910HD I had many issues, all were meant to be fixed by a magical firmware upgrade that was meant to be released about 4 days after I got the phone. They never released it, it got pushed back and back, and I still do not know if they have released it. Its a shame, as I know their TV support is well equipped.
Basically, I feel this will fall onto death ears, and samsung will just continue repeating themselves.
worst/lamest/corniest name ever for a software meant to be bought by millions
It's not badass

Introduction

Hey everyone, I'm E-Jay and 2 years ago I knew absolutely nothing about Android, apps, or anything related to it. I was interested in Facebook and only because in 2013 I had started a group for people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction or looking for help finding recovery resources, I myself am in recovery, and it was more successful than I ever could imagine. Unfortunately in 2018 I had left the group in the hands of my #1 admin while I was out of town working because I didn't have the spare time to put 100% into the group and it's membership and I had done this multiple times in the 5yrs of it's existence. Now with over 10k followers and a list of on call recovery professionals we called The Recovery Professional Network, we guaranteed that any active user anywhere in the USA would be in a bed in a rehab center within 24hrs of reaching out for help as long as they did they're part and followed through and not a single time was that promise broken. Including one Alaskan member which amazed even me. During my absence the woman running the group added an admin member who we both knew from interaction in the group who I never cared for but Rachel, my admin really liked. When she asked if I was ok with it I told her about the alarm bells that went off the time I talked to her but know I'm a very unsocial person and said it's her call because I was away indefinitely and she went ahead and added her. About a month later I noticed I hadn't gotten notifications from my group in a few days and normally got 20+ so signed in and to my surprise the new admin member had removed Rachel from the group and blocked her, removed the other admins, and put By Her Name with her work title next to her name. Even removed my active profile but fortunately I still had access to the profile I started the group with and as owner she couldn't remove me. I had no idea how long it had been like that but immediately logged in the owner profile, removed her, and took her name off the page. Unfortunately, the damage was done. She had used my group for her job as a headhunter for recovery centers. At that time it was a common practice and they were banned from the group because the profession was known for underhanded tactics, illegal even. She had gotten a minor from the group in a Florida rehab, flew him down, did the paperwork fictitiously, and used with him when he got there. The mother was being charged with Medicaid fraud and the kid a mess and worse than ever in his addiction. So, I decided that the damage to the group was to much to recover from. I didn't have the free time it would take to repair the damage done. So I archived it because I always said if it ever got to where it wasn't the tool that active users could count on to help them, free of charge, any way possible in their recovery I would shut it down. I did exactly that. About 6 months later started another one that was attached to a conspiracy theory blog. Once again it was more successful than I imagined. About 2 months in with a couple thousand followers I started researching groups that are tied to the subject and did a post about the yellow vest protest in France. The research for this brought me into contact with Anoyomous and other hacktivist groups because they are front line fighters against what is known as the NWO, one of the most well known conspiracy theories and in my eyes one that has evidence of truth everywhere you look. I started noticing strange things my PC and then my phone started to do and eventually shut the group down because I was certain I had been hacked. I got consumed by trying to figure out who and how someone was doing what was going on with my devices. Everyone I know thought I was crazy and after 18 months of looking and telling people who always had same reaction of looking at me like I lost my mind and saying as much behind my back, I quit talking about it. I even stopped using my phone even though I knew I was right because 50 or more times I thought I was being led to a certain thing that I was being led to believe was happening in my personal life that ended up being true. 100% of the conclusions I thought was being told to me ended up being true. Yet still, everybody thought I was crazy and still do honestly. Yesterday I discovered Total Virus and scanned my device there and finally I have proof my OS is corrupted. The scan found a keylogger, 2 Trojas one which is a dropper and hides the viruses in legit apps so antivirus apps don't find them, and finally a RAT or Remote Operation Terminal that gives the owner full operational control of my device including the mic, camera, and files. The reason I am posting here is to ask for help A-tracing who did this because part of me suspects it's someone I know but the other part remembers the time with the hacktivist and a argument I had with one certain person that ended with us both not liking each other. B-emoving these from my system without losing everything and having to start over. I have made countless Google accounts, profiles, multiple devices, and have deleted more apps than I can count yet still at this followed me through these two years. I appreciate any help I can get and thank you in advance. I look forward meeting anyone from this forum who thinks they can help and has the willingness to do so. I attached Screenshots Of the Total VIRUS scAN aND SD maids oVErVIeW oF MY dEvCE.

General Verified ... Confirmed ... Identified. "Cease and Desist Order" (Reported to BBK/Oppo by XDA Member)

I apologize for the title, but this is relevant to Oneplus 10 Pro.
On approx Nov 12th last month, i joined heavily in the discussion regarding Region changing, or using MSM Tool to flash a different fw for our devices. That same day i successfully jumped from the 2419 Tmobile branded fw, to the 2415 Global FW, without a hitch. I then immediately posted success replies to those who were interested. In the 1st full reply regarding my process, i identified several "requirements" in both editing an accompanying file, as well as which version(s) were needed in order to do the jumps. Exactly 3 days later, OPPO took down their official posting that linked to the Rollback packages, and the Beta 1 Android 13 builds to download including the local update apks needed. Seamlessly they linked an identical page with NEW links to download, that had the same names almost. (i have screenshots of the file size differences for proof) ... but almost 70% of you all who attempted my instructions, but downloaded the UPDATED packages, resulted in a bootloop, or unresponsive device!
1st... im sorry for that! When i hard linked the files that i KNEW worked, i never expected oneplus to be sneaky and change the contents, but keep my links headed to these newer packages... I just really did not fathom a company which we all used to support, turning against us in an act of really sinister nature. They had to be aware that once these files were changed out, it would create numerous bootloops and bricks, yet they would not provide us an Unbrick method.
I addressed the altered files swiftly once i verified the changes, and then began urging people to be careful and also realize that there were new things that were done to the FW and i did not have any ideas how they would react, especially on the Tmobile Variants of the 10 Pro and 10 T... but i made THIS FORUM, my ground zero because doing the same method WORKED on the 10 Pro... but after a few modifications, i was stuck in the Unresponsive Brick state ppl were encountering.
(My 10T still worked like a champ though, which confused me as usually OLDER devices have less structural security than newer ones, and the 10 pro was almost a year older!! To Assume something makes an A** of U & ME.)
So with this forum as ground zero, it was where i was focusing probably close to 30-40 hrs a week, trying to troubleshoot and collaborate with other Devs/users about methods to break the MSM TOOL Authentication, so we would all have a WORKING, UNBRICK TOOL, that no one had to send some person a crypto payment to then let them log into your computer! (Stranger Danger!!!!)
It seemed like every time we had SOME MEASURE of success, either by luck, or even finding an alternative tool not meant for this device, that was capable of a successful flash.... we were instantly "knee-capped" by a sniper, and either the new tool no longer functioned properly or it outright broke.... (Secrecy Tool... used to unlock crucial Engineering Mode sections got blucked thru the instructed installation, with no new solution.... which also somehow there are screenshots of an Engineering app, RUNNING ON A ONEPLUS 10 Pro, that had 3 or 4 more options than we do.... hmmm) Anyways just one example of an OPPO intervention.
I have helped with SAMSUNG Root exploits that were SERIOUS flaws, and it took Samsung a few weeks to try patching... BUT I KNOW that BBK, with all the 40 different devices released each year, DOES NOT have a team dedicated to scouring for OUR semi-glitchy NON WORKING theories. (1st clue)
Anyways, here is the main point.... About 2 weeks ago i revealed that i was going ALL IN on finding a way to give us an MSM Flash tool that would bypass all the login stuff and let us do a local UNBRICK FLASH. I gave a few too many clues as to what my Goal Line was looking at. In about 24 hrs i was sent a "Cease and Desist Order" via email, to an address that is not associated to either THIS account on XDA, nor ANY account connected to the Oneplus Community. It was an address linked to a Qualcomm Developer profile i created, and another Android development site. Yet that site doesn't have any info linking to XDA. (2nd clue)
After the 1st order i got... i received a less formal , but just as direct email, from BBK/Oppo requesting that i stop ANY reverse engineering activity that they are now aware of my actions, and failure to comply, or if a release of any tool that had identifying data which could be proven as OPPO programming tools, they would refer my actions to the Department of Justice, cyber crimes division. I TOOK THAT ONE SERIOUSLY, and notified my family attorney! .... I then just within the past 48 hours posted some updates, as well as theories regarding other NON-ASSOCIATED programs that were readily available , and created by the manufacturer Qualcomm.... (because they cannot come at me, for apps that EVERYONE already can dl.... ) WELL UPDATE: Yesterday 12/26 around 9:39pm Central i received another FORMAL "Cease and Desist Order" from Oppo/BBK... but this time it was informing me that they intend to press Qualcomm into filing an official complaint against me, for "Copyright Infringement" , and "Illegally Accessing Unauthorized Applications by Qualcomm, to Reverse Engineer their security" ... <=== my lawyer laughed at this one.... but im not... and now i must tell you that "officially" i cannot release a public tool, if in fact i am able to mitigate their security. Under the "Bug Bounty" Programs offered by both Google, and Qualcomm, I have FULL AUTHORITY to continue researching the same thing i was doing prior to the letters. Oppo cannot TRUMP both Qualcomm, and Google who expressly approve hackers and security testers WITHOUT RESTRICTION, to do whatever we have to, in order to break their respective programs, AS LONG AS I USE THE FAIR REPORTING PRACTICES, AND NOTIFY THEM OF THE BUG/EXPLOIT FOUND... and then Once they acknowledge receipt of the complete process, a 90-day counter begins, and UNTIL THAT EXPIRES, i am not allowed to disclose, ,or discuss any specifics regarding what i have found, in order to give them adequate time to patch/replace the vulnerable process/application.
NOW HERE IS WHY I AM WRITING THIS NOTICE.... I was contacted BY VOICE, by a Qualcomm Technical Support Administrator, who was actually trying to reach out to THE PERSON WHO REPORTED ME TO OPPO.... TMOBILE ..... GOOGLE AND QUALCOMM.!!!!
I played along and when they asked me about what i was trying to report exactly, i asked them to read me back just what i had sent them , because I was "busy over the past few days, and had made several reports, so i needed a refresh of which report it was...."
They read me back THE ENTIRE EMAIL, including the header, which stated the Email address, as well as the Username (???) and then in the first sentence, they said, "Hello.... I'm sorry to contact you this way, but i did not locate any other means of contact to report criminal activity being performed on your applications and devices. My name is <XDA-NAME> ,and im a member at XDA-Developers, who has seen some alarming discussions regarding your newest Smartphone processor, and also the applications you use to interact with them... I cant go into too much detail here, because it would take much more than i feel comfortable typing, but it is urgent that you contact me regarding the XDA USER: "Beatbreakee" . I have acquired his contact email, and phone from online public data channels, and i will include those at the bottom, but you need to act fast and stop this hacker, before he creates a serious security risk in your company!"
Followed by a jumble of Email addresses... only 1 which was mine.... and several phone numbers from WAY BACK... that i havent had in years, but also one current number... which they mistakenly called ME instead of him.
So i first off want this to be noted that i have ZERO intention of revealing who the "Concerned Citizen" was that felt that my usage of the READILY AVAILABLE DOWNLOADS of QPST, and QXDM were of such a nefarious intent! So plz dont ask, because i dont Dox people.... I leave that to politicians and tv journalists....
I just wanted everyone who takes the time to read this, to be AWARE that you really cannot trust ANYONE you dont have a good repertoire with... and be advised that some of the people who ask for help, and also have EXTREMELY SPECIFIC questions pertaining to some thing youre discussing, may have totally malicious intentions as to how they use the info you tell them.
All i can say is that the user REALLY reported me, BECAUSE I WAS BOISTEROUSLY EXCLAIMING THAT I INTEND TO BUILD A FREE, OFFLINE, UNBRICK TOOL, TO STOP THE EXTORTION BY PPL WHO HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO CHARGE US FOR A SOLUTION WHICH SHOULD BE FREE.....
In other words, they snitched me out so i wouldnt hurt their gestapo over fixing our phones..... (Kinda trashy.... dontcha think!)
But thats all the details i can provide ... sorry i wont break America , any more than it already is.... So you get to stay in the shadows PERSON.... But you should know that NOW i have the green light to use any available programs/software within public domain, in order to achieve my intended goal.... because all i have to do is make the report to QualComm because THEY INVENTED AND DO THE CODING FOR THE MSMTOOL.... NOT OPPO! ..... good try! (oh and i told them EXACTLY what i was attempting to do, which is how i learned of their bug bounty... and they not only were not concerned... but they laughed because the versions we have around on the internet, are SEVERAL YEARS behind the current tools, and are neutered enough to not pose a security risk!)
So i will continue to work diligently people... but if i find success, i wont be able to give any disclosure other than confirmation, and then it will take 90 days before i can actually say something legally! This sucks, cuz we need the tool NOW.... and the Oneplus 11 is being released In January in China! (Yikes)
ok thats all.... Happy New Year everyone...... (including the person who wants our devices to stay bricked unless we pay them!)
If they sue you, just defend yourself saying that they are doing illegal activity also by blocking the user device to be repaired by third party.
This in America and Europe is illegal so they can't do anything about it.
I really wanna take a guess and say that the "certain someone" once ran around here proudly proclaiming that MSM can never be hacked and we must always pay.
This is disgusting. Make sure to forward this post to all the tech blogs and get some proof over to some people (redacted obviously). OnePlus/Oppo need to be taken to task for this. The fact that they intentionally changed packages in order to brick people trying to change regions is actually something they can be sued to oblivion for and you have all the proof. A company cannot knowingly cause damage to someone's property like that.
Also, this cements my choice to never have anything to do with OnePlus again.
That really sucks. It's probably that OppoTech123 scammer who claims to be illegally leaking OPPO MSM tools, just to charge you to use it.

It absolutely is. There's nobody else who would gain from this that has been participating in those threads. I mean... the username is literally OppoTech...

unfortunately i cant really confirm or deny anyone... but i will point out this... look into the thread on our 10 Pro forum, where i dropped what ive tried... completed... how i came up with the idea... who helped me in the right direction, and what i was planning as my next steps... Then you will be able to get a list of users who you can each do your own sleuthing.
Again this is not to identify the person directly... but if I was someone who felt deceived or wanted to know who i could eliminate from my conversations and dm's when they REPEATEDLY ask the same or similar questions in other XDA forums for other devices by the same mfg.... I would compile a list of everyone in that thread, then cross off every name that i know has a good rep here, all of the ppl that i have a history with... followed by any names of members who are moderators, or have threads of their own which they provided FREE, instructions/applications for helping remove or mitigate some form of restriction. (root... custom kernel... rom.... bootloader... etc) and then the list of remaining names should be pretty short. Finally take out any SENIOR members, because most ppl who reach that status are OG and not a heartless CASH GRABBER who is only here to spy for his clan of thieves, extorting ppl in need of assistance. Finally take the final few names, and check out all of their posts and replies to see if they follow a pattern , and also if they are only on threads of devices by the same manufacturer.
Any names beyond all those categories, i would NOT do DM's with, or reply directly to any informational requests from those users. ESPECIALLY if they advocate some form of payment to themselves for services that are requested in Crypto. All red flags, and reason for suspicion. But thats just my opinion of how i would decipher and determine exactly who i will stay away from. But actually its worse, because NOW weve been informed that we have ppl here who will sabotage and drop FALSE accusations in formal reports to companies, just so they can keep making $100 a week, by eliminating the people who are working on a "Free For All" solution....
Just sayin'
I mean REALLY... they straight up called me a "Malicious Hacker", who is trying to destroy the security of all their devices! .... How am i trying to destroy ANYTHING? When im actually just trying to give users a reason to still buy OnePlus devices.
Cuz when they release the 11 in a few months... i truly believe their sales are gonna decline almost 10% worldwide! And MAYBE if the company saw that several community members were working on ways to make a tool that FIXES the issue they created... they might rethink their rollout and drop us a repair tool when it drops...
It has been a long time since I have participated in any forum at all, but this, oh my god THIS.. it is on an another level.
First of all, many thanks to you and to all members who are trying very hard to give free of charge support, and fk these trash companies. Your times and efforts are appreciated.
I was deeply involved in the warez long time ago, and I just want to say that cracking/patching the MSM tool is not that hard. In fact, it is a very easy process compared to what I have experienced and witnessed with more complicated protections. It takes one dedicated releasing group to do the job once and for all.
I hope that one group will see this post, take it personally (which they usually do xD) and give OP and its team who is certainly reading the treatment they deserve.
This post proves that they are going for the money, nothing else. Hope people who said the rubbish bla bla bla of protecting devices, security issues, etc will change their bunk mindsets.
Thanks again, and hope you will be safe.
Gamenexus, LTT, UnboxTherapy should receive this info.
They reach a great amount of people and then it will have some repercussion.
And as I said, if they do anything just do it back, the amout you're gonna receive is far bigger.

So I'm a Qualcomm developer with licensing and I would like to talk to you for one I have information in code that you probably can use for your benefit I am personally not able to do this as I don't have a running computer at the moment I get a hold of me in private message and I can add you on discord we can talk and under no circumstances is a vendor have rights to software that is not made by them nor by their use of it or even the restriction of it is against Qualcomm licensing like I'm his bypass tools for the login information flash tools such as the MSM tool but then they solves have stopped using it back in 2016 and 2017 they're using a different type of tool now which I will not say publicly but if you want more information get a hold of me (then it was designed to be free and it should remain free that is the whole point of Open source development.
One more thing I did back up the any version of the file they switched cuz I'm noticing what you're talking about so when I go to my about phone section where it says color OS is completely different fun and completely changed plus the weight scaling font is no longer called the one font but oppo so if you need me to link the Google drive file so you can have access to the one that works cuz I used your method I have a hard copy for the na 2417 version
That is just messed up ...Its funny i went on XDA today and had a PM asking if it was me who reported you...I thought to myself who would report anybody for trying to figure out a way to help everyone who has or have a Xucked up Oneplus
phone . I have killed my phone many times to help figure this out. I have actually paid for someone to flash my phone and try to log all the info. Illegal maybe ..but would be worth it ...to get a MSM working tool to fix our phones.
Oh by the way I hope you Figure this MSM tool out ...I would help if I could code and stuff like what you do. Thumbs UP to you

If you're running a computer I didn't know how to code I just don't have her any computer if I'd come has software to bypass things locking up their phones so they can be flashed anyways.
Courage! I hope it doesn't come to a suit

But actually its worse, because NOW weve been informed that we have ppl here who will sabotage and drop FALSE accusations in formal reports to companies, just so they can keep making $100 a week, by eliminating the people who are working on a "Free For All" solution....
Just sayin'

Oh believe me. Even without having to take a refresher, instantly two "accounts" stuck out to me because both of their ****ty attitudes, demandment of payment, and an unfortunate DM with one of them privately expressing MSM cannot be cracked and I must pay him and his friend
I have a hard time thinking of anyone else

C'mon man, my $100 a week livelihood is at stake here!!! Bwahahahahahahahaha, these kinds of people are too sad to even deal with. Keeping such things private that have long since been public, it's so sad it's despicable.
This is freaking unbelievable
I wish you all the very best on figuring out the msmtool and disrupt that [email protected]# 100$ a week income source

thanks man... luckily i downloaded all the FW that were on the original post too... i only wish i had been a luckier person and bought my 10T prior to June. Cuz the 1st groups here that were working on rooting the 10Pro, and 10T , spooked Oppo into removing Fastboot directly from the rom. I would love access to the newer tools that QC uses. And im not doing anything that they would consider illegal , since i was directly told that "Any app that is leaked, or released is well documented prior to it hitting any public servers, because they supposedly keep a tight leash on active programming applications, and the only ones that make it to a state that can be 'hard copied' is apps that are decommissioned as out of date and unsupported. So if any app is found and functional, it can be freely used without any fear of legal action." They actually encouraged the use of "Found" Qualcomm apps, because it might reveal another security flaw that they need knowledge of so they can patch it in future versions.
But i appreciate the offer. Its just nice having someone else who can personally confirm what i stated about them changing the files. Companies like OPPO/BBK dont have the resources to dedicate a division to combing the whole internet looking for clues as to what HAS and HASNT been successful in bypassing their security. They rely on ppl like the one who tried snitching me out, and the actual chip mfg reports to change anything related. But the qualcomm guy i talked to seemed rather surprised when i mentioned "Charging a fee to people who brick their phones, to use the MSM Tool and recover it!" .... lol i dropped that bit of info on purpose, cuz if ANYTHING is illegal, it is THEM charging money for something Qualcomm intended to be used by repair techs for free!
