Okay, I have searched the forums, to no avail. I also no longer have the .bin files generated when I first ran lokiwiz, they were accidentally deleted by another individual who rebuilt a box before I had a chance to pull them off.
So basically, I am screwed, every command I try with lokiwiz or awizard results in the following errors
ps, I am trying to restore the original 8125 image, I have a functioning device, but I want to restore it.

I'm having the same issue on a unit with the K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship ROM too.
lot's of people have that problem, whit that specific rom :S
me too, but there does not seem to be a solution yet...
for te topicstarter: flas another rom on your device and lokiwizard will work again
lokiwizard refuses to work, even after flashing the latest imate rom to it (although I am using the imate rom installer application), I guess I could try the ruu tool ..... ??
flash back to t-mobile rom, unlock it an flash back again to imate
I have no problems flashing to the imate rom, thats what I am running at the moment. Using the imate rom, I cannot run awizard or lokiwizard.

Is that possible?
From what I gathered, if you flash it to the iMate rom, the Extended rom portion becomes locked to the iMate Extended rom. You can't even reflash it back. Until someone comes out with a version of the full iMate rom with an unlocked Extended, or breaks up the iMate rom into GSM, OS, and Extended and you do it manually, I think it is impossible.
Or I could be totally wrong.

i think you are... cause i did it myself
and for the topicstarer: i know you cant use awizard nor lokiwiz, but if you flash your original T-mobile rom back, just like i did, then use awizard or lokiwiz to unlock the SIM and the CID. and after that flash the imate rom on your device again, your problem will also be solved!

Alright, then answer me this:
Can you take the iMate full rom, do that flash, and just then flash the TMO extended rom on top of that, so upon a hard reset it'll have the iMate GSM and OS roms, but then go through the stock TMO Extended rom updates (one of which will kill wifi)?
If so, that answers my question of going back to "bone stock." That's my concern with flashing to the iMate rom: 1) having a locked extended rom that I may or may not be able to revert back from, and 2) being able to go back to how the phone looked coming out of the box.

No, but you (1) don't have to and (2) DON'T WANT TO, as some of the T-Mobile CABs will kill things in the new release AND they're inferior anyway (the connection button is one of them!)
In fact, unless you want the OZIm client and the "SMS email triggers" you need to load only TWO of the T-Mo US CABs on top of the Imate ROM (by hand) to get full functionality. No problems with this approach at all (of course you don't get the T-Mo pukie home screen this way, but I don't want it anyway!)
I posted in one of the other threads where you asked this how to accomplish it.

Going back to how the phone looked out of the box is easy if you have an SD image of the original T-Mobile ROM and an SD card. No problem with that at all - as I've noted here repeatedly I have TESTED this and it works fine.
So let me get this straight, to get past the locked extended rom imate creates, I need to flash to tmobile to be able to flash bac the original cingular rom? Ah well, guess I gan stay with the imate rom till cingular releases an official rom release
HAS anyone uninstalled or overrided IMATE UPGRADE rom and reverted to original CINGULAR 8125 ROM? IF so, please list steps. I'm within 30 day period and don't want to send back with HTC and IMATE info and splash pages
Thanks
same here.. please help someone.. someone...
i had the same issue, and didnt find original, but for what its worth, exchanged my 8125 with no problem with i-mate rom.
good luck!
IF you can find someone with an SD backup (you shoulda made one when you started screwing around!) this is trivial to do.
Otherwise its somewhat of a PITA......
could you please outline the steps needed to accomplish this simply?
I am currently back at the cingular rom, but I could not restore the extended rom.
Basic rundown, After screwing around witht eh imate rom, decided to try to go back, found out I could not.
There is a particular issue with imate locking the extended rom, and problems running awizard and lokiwiz on a imate rom.
So, I went a round about way (suggested by someone else).
I used the tmobile uk rom (comes with same installer as teh iamte one), once that was installed, I ran awizard, which ran fine, and restored my cingular rom and splash screen (this is of course assuming you made a backup of the rom the first time around).
Only thing I cannot do, is restore the cingular extended rom.
Does anyone happen to have this? I would prefer not to have to install the entire rom ir order to just get the Extended ROM folder contents. Thanks!
same here, i have a tmobile wizard without the upgrade and the tmobile site asks for a tmobile number before the upgrade can be downloaded!!!
http://www.sendspace.com/file/zj8f21
I have a T-mobile MDA, USA version. I bought it new, unlocked. I put my Suncom SIM card in it and it works fine.
The MDA ROM version is now 1.8.10.1 WWE
I see T-mobile USA has a ROM 2.26.10.2 on their web site for download.
If I download and install this ROM, will my phone be locked to T-mobile?
Also, what is best way to back up everything such as Contacts, in order to be able to put it back after the upgrade?
Is there a way to actually back up the original ROM and reinstall it if the upgrade goes badly?
Update: Silly me, I now see that T-mobile requires a T-mobile phone number in order to download the ROM. So much for that.
Update 2: Found the ftp area here. Got the rom. Also found files that seem to answer my question about backing up the rom.
Thanks,
RikR
In case another noobie like me stumbles on this, I installed the rom, no problems.
I had backed up my pim file, so putting my contacts back in was no problem.
holy s#i...
I did not think about that!!! I was updating the MDA when I read your post: my heart jumped and blod pressure when thru the roof!!! thank you!!
I am in need of a stock T-Mobile ROM for the MDA (not sure which # is the latest) I was trying some of the custom builds here based on Windows Mobile 6.1 but wanted to get back to a stock 5.0 or 6 - but obviously I went and got the wrong one...
I am having an issue with connecting to the network to make calls on this MDA too, so I don't really want to walk into the T-Mo store with a cingular splash screen on it when I go to get a new SIM!
Thanks in advance.
go to www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade and you should find it there.

Thanks, that worked. Now, how do I get to a stock WM 6? The t-mo site wouldn't let me grab it...
