I need help, please!
I got a Qtek 9090 in Spanish and I would like to have it in English.
I tried to follow the steps described in
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_GettingStarted
but I cannot find what version is the one I need to download.
The Device Data I have is the following:
model no: PH20B
minor version model no: 0 B
language code: ESN
minor: N
operator code: DANGA304
rom version: 1.22.03
minor: 0 3
extended rom version: 1.22.132
radio version: 1.06.00
minor: 06.00
Can anyone tell me if there is a WWE version I can download to upgrade my device into English language?
Thanks for help
Matoha
wiki has a new topic.
How to upgrade to the latest rom
Have you read it?
Yes, I checked that topic and that is where I found the steps I need to follow to upgrade my qtek. However, I need to find the right version to download it and install it in the phone.
In the topic they explain that the version has to be higher than my rom version and my radio version and I don't find any WWE file that has a rom version higher than 1.22.03 and radio version higher than 1.06.00.
Does it exist? Where can I find it?
Thank you for your help.

Download the I-Mate 1.40 WWE Rom.
thank you for your reply,
but, please, can you tell me what is the difference between the i-mate, qtek and dangaard version. Remember I have a qtek 9090, is the i-mate version the best for me? I am afraid of doing something wrong that can ruin my phone.
Thanks again
Matoha
Its all in the ext rom, check wiki, read about the ext rom, have a look at the ERK of those 3 roms.
Well, changing the language of your device is not supported and will void the warranty of your device anyways, so it doesn't matter which carrier's rom you put in.
Personally, save the same problems as the other 1.40 roms, and with the solution I found to the GPRS problems, the i-mate extended rom is the best, especially for someone who likely will not be cooking a custom one.
Hi guys,
I downloaded the i-mate version and I followed the steps, extracting the files, changing the fix.bat but when I run the upgrade I get the following error:
error 123: radio image file checksum error. the rom image file to be used for the update is corrupt. Download the correct rom update and try again.
Is it because any of the passwords in the fix.bat is wrong?
Is it because I should use another rom?
I tried with the Qtek and Daangard versions and I always reach to the same point.
Any idea?
Thank you
Matoha
Did you try the first method outlined here?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_1.40.00_Upgrade
First Method (Quicker/Easier, but not well tested)
1) Download update to desktop
2) Unrar or unzip all files in exe or rar into a new folder
3) Open the folder with the extracted files
4) Download this file: MaUpgradeUt_noID.ZIP (ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Tools/MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip)
5) Extract MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe from this file and place it with the other upgrade files.
6) Continue to upgrade as normal, except run this new exe file instead of BaUpgradeUt.exe
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
I manage to do it with TheLastOne explanations.

I'm glad I could help.
Enjoy the improvements of 1.40 (although limited, IMO).
Hi.
I'm having some serious problems running WM5 on my SPV M2000 (Blue Angel). Internet Explorer keeps crashing, doesn't browse...bluetooth isn't recieving files from my PC, camera closes on its own, MSN Mobile not working at ALL...etc.
I want to remove this AKU3.5 ROM and return back to my previous WM2003SE ROM from Orange or even Imate. I downloaded the Orange V2.5 ROM update but failed to initialize the update process since the Country ID was incorrect for some odd reason.
Guys can you please help me out of it. Just tell me the safest and easiest way to downgrade back to the original ROM. And is possible that when i downgrade, i can install the Imate PDA2k ROM on my Orange SPV M2000?
I'd really really appreciate your help. Looking forward to your replies!
My device information details are:
ROM version : 5.04.09.WWE
ROM date : 11/02/06
Radio Version : 1.13.00
Protocol Version : 1337.42
ExtROM version : *empty* (blank)
i would make use of wm5 maupgrade_noID utility to flash the .nbf file of wm3 back to the original rom.

Yeah hi. Thanks for the reply, could you please give me a step by step procedure how am i suppose to do it? Where do i get the files from and how do i go about it.
I'd be grateful man!
As i see you use helmi aku 3.5 rom.
when u extracted the file out of the zip file u initially downloaded, u should see a folder name PH20B1. It includes maupgrade_noid utility there.
so basically what u do is extract the original rom (nk.nbf) into that PH20B1 folder, then put your device to bootloader mode, flash it as normal.

Actually i didn't install Helmi AKU3.5 ROM. I bought my phone used, and had this rom already installed. Now i want to get back to my original factory ROM. And i can't seem to get how to do it
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Upgrades
link above lists all the original rom for each device / operator.
please see the attachment, it's the utility to upgrade.
for further information please read wiki though.
Thank you imatrix. Will go through the link you provided. Thanks for all your help!
By the way...is it possible for me to flash an Imate ROM on an Orange SPV M2000? I find Imate ROMs more stable than Orange.
ooo?/
I think, you will have a serious problem wwhen you go back to wm2003 mate.. you're bluetooth will be useless, I don't know why and how,,.. I tried wm2003 downgrade last time, and I was worried because when I try to turn my bt on, it keeps may saying that the bluetooth software is expired..bla..bla..and I can't turn my bluetooth on.. though I haven't tried installing abt stack, but I guess same thing will happen.. but its for you to find out.. theres a very comprehensive details on downgrading/upgrading roms on blueangel wiki.. to get rid of that country I'd error, just use maupgradeutnoid.exe which you can also download from there
hi, I tryed to downgrade my qtek 9090 to wm2003se but I had no success.. i would do it because i have some problems with bluetooth. in this forum I found this article which explains how to fix bluetooth problems ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=274425 ) but I'm not able to find all files nedeed... is here someone who can help me? it's the same for me downgrade the rom or fix bluetooth problem.
I have the original rom downloaded from www.pocketdevice.it but when I try to install it, the installation software sais that with wm5 it cannot install the rom (ROM.Qtek.9090.v.1.40.04 ITA).
please excuse me for my bad english! I hope that I've been quite clear to explain my problem..
edit:
I found this page http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_1.40.00_Upgrade but
# Qtek 1.40.556
# Qtek 1.40.553
# Qtek 1.40.147
doesn't work...
edit 2:
I tryed to restore an old backup but wm5 doesn't accept wm2003se's backup.. wm5 doesn't accept backup at all.. uff..
first to exclude the most common mistakes:
- did you set the phone in bootloader before starting the flashing?
- did you use the BAupgrade_noID.exe, instead of the BAupgrade.exe?
- I only tryed to install the original ROM using a USB connection.. Where can I find the other files you mentioned?
- With "bootloader mode" you mean click on the starting button and camera button at the same time? When I upgraded my ROM from wm2003se to wm5 I only connected my Qtek and started WM5 from my computer not using the "bootloader mode"

I know that, when you try and flash the original rom or original updates, you usually don't have to do the things above, but, when i had to downgrade to wm2003se, it wouldn't have worked without.
1. i try and attach the _noid.exe that i downloaded with a helmi rom, as google wouldn't find a direct download source and i wouldn't want to search this forum forever, and as you don't search it yourself, i assume you don't want to spend more time looking for it as well. Anyway, the noid.exe is the same flashing prog as the original but it bypasses the check for country id and other crap.
2. the bootloader mode is also essential because, well... i don't know, why exactly, but i assume that not all roms and flashing software manage to enter the bootloader mode correctly, or too late, and you could get stupid errors like it was the wrong device for that flash.
so, i hope, the upload worked, it is everything you need to flash your device, either put the "nk.nbf" of your rom in there, or unpack the original rom and put the noID file in that folder and start it
ok, i did exactly what you wrote and now everything work! thank for you help!
why would you even downgrade? i upgraded mine to wm6 and i think i'm not going back to 2003se
first of all, because english is not my mother language and the os language is english. i found some problems using bluetooth and wifi connections and i could not download the right patch so i decided to downgrade to wm233se
SIM TOOL KIT is the only reason one would want to downgrade
Maybe you could try an 6.1 ROM.
RUU_BA_xplode_WWE_6.11.00 works perfectly and has an standard wm6
interface.
Hi all,
My first time being a productive member of this great forum (or at least, I hope so ).
I've been wanting to flash the ROM on my Touch HD with Orange UK (something I've never done before), but as an "insurance policy", wanted to have a backup of the stock ROM in case I have he need to restore it, or need to send back the phone to Orange for some reason. After searching the Internet at large and this forum in particular, I was unable to find a dump of the same ROM version as the one I have (1.19.61.1) with Orange UK, so after an hour or more of searching and reading, I was finally able to follow the steps to extract the ROM from memory in .raw format and then reassemble it as an .nbh file using the itsutils tools and the Blackstone "Kitchen" tools. The reference ROM I used for the reconstruction process was this one (found through the forums):
RUU_BlackStone_HKCSL_WWE_1.19.831.0_Radio_52.49a.2 5.26_1.09.25.14_Ship.exe
Here are the complete details regarding the ROM I'm posting, from the Device Information program of my phone:
Operator version: 34.119.1.611
ROM version: 1.19.61.1 WWE
ROM date: 11/25/08
Radio version: 1.09.25.14
Protocol version: 52.49a.25.26U
The process seems to have gone smoothly, and I have ended up with ruu_signed.nbh file, which I have uploaded for you all on Rapidshare and Mediafire.
However, I have not actually flashed my device with this ROM (since this is the current ROM on my device, and having no actual experience in flashing yet, the result might seem a bit ambigious to me) I would really appreciate it if someone would verify whether it actually works or not, so people don't heap curses on me if it doesn't... I'm just a newbie, remember.
So without further ado:

Mediafire:

This is exactly what i need! Hope its working for the both of us!

aah...can u help me out??? to manually flash a rom????.... a link or something??? what i've to do???
guys no 1's helping???
It happened to me once.
Regarding you have "manila version 2.5.20113030.0" and your OS version, you have a custom ROM installed, and this means also you have HSPL installed in your device.
To get your device recognized by SE update service, you have to flash a *stock* ROM, and also a stock SPL.
After doing these two steps, your device will be recognized.
You must be familiar with flashing ROMs, and you should search the whole forum for stock ROMs and SPL, before attempting to flash anything..(I'm not responsible for any damage)
As a suggestion, refer to this thread for a detailed info on the subject
and also this thread for Stock SPL (see "extra how to: how to restore Stock SPL for warranty reasons." section)

Hello please help my Sony Ericsson X 1 Rom 1.05.931.10 Radio 1.06.25.29 Manila 2.5.20212114.0 Wi-Fi connection is working, but I can not open a webpage or use any program that uses the Net also how enter the Settings text messages do not know where please help please
sorry for late reply... but can u thread me to stock rom and stock spl plzzz....
Unfortunately, the Xperia X1 is now an old device, and the links to its stock items are rare and not working any more.
I managed to find links for the stock ROM (Generic UK WWE, latest version provided by SE which is R3A)
Here it is:
Part 1
Part 2
After you download the two parts, rename the file extension from .image to .nbh, and if you are using the SD card method, rename the file to kovsimg.nbh
Be sure to read about flashing ROMs and changing the SPL, if you did it the wrong way you may damage your device.
thanx i'll try and tell u soon...
