I have just got a XDA IIs and I want to get rid of all the o2 stuff and upgrade to the i-mate latest ROM version. Does anybody have a version which is easy to install?
They all install the same! only the ext rom functionality is different.
Try what i did...

Hello everyone,
I just got a O2 Xda Mini S and it came "customized" to O2, in order to make it faster and to remove all the customisations from O2 i was planning to upgrade the rom, after researching in the forum i concluded that the i-Mate K-jam 2.1.6.9 rom is the most up-to-date and faster that my current rom.
Is that true?
I was planing on using the K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.zip file from your ftp, since it seems like a simple wizard-guided upgrade. Is this the best method?
Also i am afraid to do something harmfull to it by upgrading. will I be able to reverse the upgrade? or perform future upgrades?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I too have an XDA Mini S. ROM version 1.5.4.2 WWE.
I also have a T-Mobile MDA Vario. ROM version 1.6.2.4 WWE
Although they appear to be the same hardware, the T-Mobile is a lot faster than the O2.
I would also like to know if the K-jam update is suitable, and if not, where I can get an update for the XDA.
Has anyone successfully flashed their device from an i-mate K-JAM AKU2 ROM to an O2 Xda mini S AKU2 ROM?
I have tried aWizard 1.3b2, and the NO_ID version of the ROM updater but have had no success.
Any ideas?
Successful flash
I did flash my device from the k-jam auk2 to the o2 AUK2 rom and then after a few days went back to the k-jam rom.
THe k-jam rom is much more stable and i find has less junk in it.
What i really wanted from the o2 rom, like the theams is on the ext rom anyway.
If you are on the k-jam rom, my advice is to stay there.

Thanks for the advise, but my inquiry was not answered, how do you flash it to another ROM?

Pare im also getting the error of "internal error occured" when using Lokiwiz..and thats probably beacuse of the loaded AKU2 on my Kjam.
